System Font - HTC EVO 3D

Does anybody know where I can find fonts to flash or use through root?

Best way to do it is find the .zip file of the fonts you want and extract the .tff files from it and use an app called fontchanger from the market. Requires a reboot afterwards but works like a charm. I don't believe anyone has started making flashable zips for the 3d yet.

Or you can get absolute root tools from the market and it does all that for u...just find the the font, install and reboot..its that easy lol

yeah i used font changer myself one time, and Tiff sent me a message (which i read too late) and told me not to use the "REEBOT WHEN DONE" cause yur phone will just hang when it does try to reboot......most people say to just reboot manually....i thought i bricked my friggen phone when i chose the reboot option LOL.....but when i rebooted manually it did work perfect.....i think i got the font from devinart...just extracted the zip....woot!!!!

Ok, thanks. I'll try that.

Just my $0.02. I really likes the Evervolv font from the Absurd ROM but wanted to use deck's ROM so, using ES File Manager in root mode (with the system mounted as writable) I extracted the font directory (/system/font) from the Absurd ROM's zip file, copied it, went into the system directory of my phone, checked what the permissions were for the font directory, deleted the font directory on the ROM that was on my phone (deck's ROM), and then simply pasted the Absurd font directory in its place. From there, I just went into the new font directory's properties and made sure the permissions matched the permissions of the directory I had just deleted.
With that said, that worked for my specific situation only because I already found a font style that I liked from a ROM which was based off of the same build that i was already using. Just my $0.02

.pro image files

can someone please tell me what the hell these .pro files are? i'm used to seeing .png files in the apk's, and have done quite a bit of searching, but cannot find what format the .pro files are in the system apps on the lg optimus
also, what to do to convert .png's to .pro's and so forth
thanks in advance
I'm seeing the same thing all the themes for ninja/metamorph are using .png files.
But when i open the apk's for said theme they contain pro files instead of pngs.
I'll do some of my own testing.
But if anyone else has any incite please let me know.

somebody recently said that if you rename your .png files to .pro, it may work
i havent tried it yet though
I just tested it and it worked.
But when i tried it with a .9. file it cause my phone to bug out and had to load a backup.
So watch out for those .9 files.

Na i just used DOS to remane them like ren *.png *.pro
And done!
Still there are alot of bugs with those pro files some work some dont...some cause boot loops or the app not to work.
What i need is buuf style control bar and maybe some buuf themed apps that will work without renaming files.
have you found a way to view and edit files .pro?

Titanium backup (Pro) can do it.

It's not for backups. It's for extracting specific apps or data from nandroid backups. Useful when you need something from your backup so you don't have to restore that to get it and then have to flash back your other rom.

he means that TB pro have a feature that allows you to extrack app from nandroid backup, so you dont need other apps if you have a TB pro version
Did not know that, and haven't seen either. o-o
back up woth astro
You can back up your apks with astro file manager (free)
Its one of the best(personally my favourite) file manager on the play store. when you start the app press the application backup button an choose the apps you wanna back up. the installation apks will be stored in the backups folder on your SD.
PS sorry for the typing error in the title ... I bet no one saw it.
well...if we have a computer, we could simply extract the files to get the apk.
Use X-XPLORE this explore have apk back to zip option....

Pretty sure it's not a flashable zip. There's no Meta-inf folder.
Just put it in the location the OP says to put it. I dont know if it needs to be extracted first, though. Haven't tried it yet.
Hoping this might make the TWRP UI lighting/backlight brighter. TWRP is so dim on my screen I can barely see it.

not flashable or anything, dont extract, just copy ui.zip(has to be named ui.zip) to /sdcard/TWRP/THEME and reboot recovery to load the theme...

Awesome job. If I wanted to modify this to my own liking, can I simply just change the colors and recompress it all back to zip and paste back into my themes? Or do I have to change something in the .xml file aswell?
slightly off topic, but in the OP, you mentioned that you originally made this for the TouchPad. Can you share please!! I'd love to have that on my touchpad too! If you have already posted it somewhere, sorry, I searched the touchpad section and couldn't find it.

Boot animations for 4.3 and 4.4 roms

Here are some boot animations for the note 3.
Install instructions:
1. Make a backup of your current bootanimation.zip file located at system>media
2. boot into recovery and flash
3. Wipe dalvick and cache
4. Reboot.
If you flash the soa with start up and shut down sounds I recommend you make a backup of your poweron.ogg files located in system> media>audio> ui
And system> media> audio> ui> spr
as well as make a backup of your shutdown called poweroff.ogg located in system> media> audio> ui
Here are some if you have any requests let me know I'll try to accommodate you.
I'm working on startup and shutdown sounds also (I have one for the soa one)
Special thanks to @mikeman45 for his help in learning how to do these.

Ok here are the startup and shutdown sounds for the soa animation
For the startup you will have to go to
System> media> audio> ui make a backup of the original PowerOn.ogg file.
Move the new PowerOn.ogg file there and change permissions to rw-r--r--(0644).
Now copy that same file(PowerOn.ogg) into the SPR file in that same menu. Premissions should stay set double check though.
For the shutdown sound make a backup of PowerOff.ogg in system> media> audio> ui. Move the new PowerOff.ogg over and same Premissions rw-r--r--(0644)
PowerOn.ogg(soa)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/5ed5fc0n4zsxsb6/PowerOn.ogg?dl=0
PowerOff.ogg(soa)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/kogr0509p4j9up0/PowerOff.ogg?dl=0
Any questions let me know
I apologize for the manual installation. I can't make flashables until I get my laptop. If anyone cares to make a flashable template for me I will make a 5.00 donation to them
