Samsung GIO S-5660 bricke/dead - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Sorry for my bad english
I got a Samsung GIO S-5660.
I installed Rom Manager and i installed the clockworkmod recovery.
But now the phone wont boot, dont start in recovery mode and not in download mode.
If i use a jig cable, will it work?

I have also the same droid, and I am in the same situation as you. I am very very sorry for us both, we shouldn't touch ROM manager, there is no fix, even no jig. Go to service center....

can you not manualy fix this?
upload a other bootloader or recovery

I tried alot alot of things, nothing helped me. I'll watch people replies

then i have to wait.
i hope they fix it

i am in the same situation like u guys !!! i will take it to warranty !!! too bad i didnt read this post before i`ve installed rom manager !!

Its probably bricked.
There is a thread here to unbrick it. You can try that.
The unbrick thread wont do anything.. There's no way to revive the phone when u use ROM manager.. U need to sent it to warranty..
Another sad case of rom manager. Lol
Btw it probably bricked.. if couldnt even boot into download mode, u can try to use usb jig

You have to say that you had a problem with the phone (for example wifi or SOD) and you did a factory reset. Then the phone never restart again.
Never says you rooted the phone, just says "I did a factory reset"
I had the same problem. Went to the service center & made up a story & got my ace repaired without paying a single rupee.

just send it to the service center ... the same thing happend with my ace.. i got the mothrbord replaced under warranty.. don tel them that u were messing up with the phone... and also dont mention about the root and all.. u will get warranty.. chill..
This is lesson for us all. We should read through the threads and all the comments if we are not sure of what we are doing. Me myself gave almost 2 weeks just reading threads about rooting and upgrading just to make sure i wont brick my ace.
Ace is my first android phone btw.

When will u people learn??? ROM MANAGER WILL BRICK UR PHONE!!
Guess some people need to learn the hard way huh..
First try to boot into dowload mode and flash via odin.
If cannot even boot into download mode, service centre is ur only solution. just send to them and made up story eg ur phone brick after upgrade using kies. Dont ever mention about rooting, installing custom rom etc etc.

Hard Brick/Usless/Broken Samsung Galaxy Player

Hey Guy's, I have a Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0 8GB US Model: YP-G1
A while back I rooted it, and I was new to all of it, I downloaded an application called Rom tool box or something like that, I changed the size of the apps, and then changed it back. It told me I had to reboot, so I did. It kept showing the boot animation over and over again.I got tired and used odinto flash it, but I guess I flashed the wrong rom.and it was bricked. So I bought a usb jig. that didnt help, because when it arrived,my device was completely useless. It wouldnt go into recovery mode, or download mode. I don't know what to and I really want to fix it. Please help me thanks

how to get download mode on bricked galaxy s plus in that condition...plz help.
sorry for my bad english.
Imho you have to flash a new Bootloader. Look at this Thread.
But before you do that, you shall read this Tutorial by Broodplank ( Thanks to Broodplank ), and this Thread.
For flashing only use Odin 4.43 !
Hope, this may help you.

You've read Chapter 3 on this Side ? If this does'nt work for you, I think you will need a USB-Jig.

I really screwed my brother's Galaxy S+ (9001) because I thought it was the same as mine.(9000)
I used Odin and flashed a wrong bootloader so the phone is really dead.So No download or recovery mode.
And no way to get that screen open.
Will be helpfull to have a USB jig. or I have to get it to a service?
Thnx...

perhaps a USB Jig may be of use to you in this situation to get you to download mode (Check my sig if you need a USB jig)
once you go to download mode, you can get to flash a stock firmware from odin
cheers!
By bricked doesn't that mean it's better off at a repair shop?
Since you can flash through odin. Tried flashing stock fitmwares? there's a site where you can download them.. Google.
Bricked ??? the OP may just be saying fully bricked without knowing .
Service job is paid for no warranty .
OP does not mention recovery mode .
jje
just try to go to samsung center and they will give their warranty. because they can get into download mode too so they can check your binary count dude
