[Q] How can i buy app on market which is not available in my country ? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am from Poland, my sim card has PL network and my internet ip address is from PL. and my credit card is PL.
But i need to buy app from US - on market they are available if i connect through some vpn or proxy i can see books in English.
i dont know why they are not available in poland but i need to buy some of them. how to do it ?
even if i run market access or market enabler and emulate t mobile us - android market app on phone can find it but is not available to display details to show buy options - just show message - sorry network error occured. this may be because of PL ip address.
so what are option for me ? thanks.

Try using a wifi network for connection with the market + market enabler in combo. If that doesn't help - probably there's no way to download it through the market in our country.
Btw, if you're looking for books, and they're available in the us, but not elsewhere, probably some stupid licensing case... It happens with books and music all the time.

How to get US version of android market?

I am currently located in Turkey and bought an S2 here locally since my iphone4 was locked to att.
However the android market only has free apps. This is very frustrating. ( I also have an HTC incredible which is running the full android market but my s2 isnt).
My question is, Can I flash an European or american rom to get the US android market? (perhaps a way to change csc).

Try market enabler from the market...
I usually do a few workarounds to get all my apps:
1. Try Market Enabler over 3g, not sure if it works on wifi I get better results over 3g.
2. Install Hotspotshield free on your PC to fake a US IP on your PC, or better do it over a US real ip (some businesses like where I work have US ip connections). Then try to install apps via Android market web page (in combination with step 1 it should recognize your phone as Tmobile i9100 for instance).
3. Change your credit card billing address to a US one (just took me 5 minutes over the phone with my credit card company but not sure if its legal in all countries).
4. Use an alternative market like GetJar. I have been able to find many apps there that I cant get through the market, plus they usually have freebies (for instance Tune In radio Pro is free right now). GetJar is legit and safe but sometimes can get slow updating apps as it depends on the deals they have with the developers.
This way I can purchase from B&N, use Hulu or update google maps, youtube, etc.
When everything fails I usually copy the apk from a friends phone or there is always the mediafire option but you might not want to go that far
Also you might want to visit developers pages as sometimes they accept paypal (like Poweramp).
I already have US credit cards (again only studying here abroad).
So I cant just flash another rom? This has to be software based because my HTC incredible's market works fine (there sitting right next to each other on the SAME wifi network)
Install Market Enabler from the android market. It's free so should be there.
what is the point of having regions for the market ????
i have no idea why Google does that

[28.02.2012] Google Music Services outside the U.S. and get the free music

A few days ago I managed to activate Google Music although not living in the U.S..
All we had to use a proxy service Hide my IP (trial version is enough) for the activation only. Since that time I used the service without problems.
After this you can upload up to 20.000 songs on the Google servers and listen on the phone by using Google Music from the market (use Google Enabler whit an USA operator setting) by streaming if you have a WI-FI network available or a good data plan, or make available for offline playing.
The second interesting thing that you can acces you music from any computer that is connected to the internet (I have a notebook, a netbook, a PC and the good old DEFY and... for me is very important to have is all in one place).
The only downside is that you do not have access to Google Music Market.
To put songs on the server you need Google's Music Manager you can find on the main page or the attachments.
If you have questions I will respond as quickly as I can.
Update 28.02.2012
I managed to "buy" all the free songs.
Whit the proxy program active I introduced a valid credit card number and a valid adress from US (search on google about both).
The first time I have an error that my credit card was not accepted but after that i could add all the 50 free song to my Google Music library.
If you want another program for the proxy PM me.
Hit the Thank button if you like it.
How do you mean for activation only? I activated it from a proxy. It asked me to confirm my account as I logged in from a different location. When I try to go to music.google.com without the proxy, it tells me I need to be in the USA.

Very strange. I have activated for me and my friend and it worked.
I attached a print screen to confirm it.
I found something. The market appears my phone is AT & T network America.
And my friend as he appears the same.
I hope i am not the only lucky guy. That's why I posted here.
If anyone has succeeded please post.
Ok, tried it again. You need a proxy with fully working scripts as I didn't get the accept licence window.
Now I can open it without proxy. Using the program you suggested worked. You can buy songs if you use a proxy. I tried to buy the free song but apparently you need to have a credit-card in your wallet for 'account verification'. It's a bit fair, but Y no paypall...

Yeah, i don't want to give my credit card details to Google. Can't trust them they already know too much. It's a shame we can't use paypal
Sent from my 1Ghz CM7 + CM9 Defy
The music uploaded by the user is max 20.000 songs.
I wrote the first post that does not work and music store, only to upload a large number of songs that you can access them wherever you are and I think it's cool.
It is worse than that. They want a US credit card to let you buy Music on Android Market. If you try to use a credit card from another country, you get a prompt to add another credit card to your account.
Yes, I know, music market is not working, I wrote in first post. Google only accepts payments only by card and because it is a U.S. only service card must be in U.S..
I personally have made payment whit a credit card in the Market for some applications and had no problems. I trust google
I can't see songs on my defy
Thanks! using hide my IP I just uploaded my music to Google Play but I can't see it on Google Music Play app on my defy phone, what I have to do?

[Q] Apps from the US in Europe

I'm moving to France from the US. When I get there, I'll probably get a new Android phone (unless Win8 looks enticing enough).
My questions are...
- When I log onto this new Android phone with my same gmail address, and presumably be connected to France or Europe's Google Play, will I have access to ALL the apps I have now? Will some become unavailable to me? What about my purchased ones? If they're to be lost, any way to get those .apks now?
- What will happen to my purchased ebooks on the nook app and the Amazon Kindle app?
- Is there any way that I can access the US Google Play while in Europe? Is there such a thing as proxy servers for mobile phones?
Thank you!
No you will not loose any of your app
we all should be polite enough to press thanks for anyone who helped US.
Also you can use market enabler app to get access to any App region. Vpn networks can also be used for ex. Vpn reactor

Would btguard work? I already pay for them.
Also, just so you guys know, I've now moved here and via my Android account on my new European phone I lost a bunch of apps that were I guess only exposed to the US including the b&n nook app. But I got the .apk off my old phone.

Did you pay for torrent proxy or for VPN? If you payed for VPN then it should work.

I'm not sure if this is still true (worked for WP7), but if you create a Microsoft Account and have your location as one of the other markets (say US or UK) and login to your phone using this account, you should be able to see all the apps.
Of course, it would be a pain if you're already setup since you'll have to start over with this account as your main account.
Might be worth a try.
That wont work coz I need to give a mobile number to send SMS and to activate the market

I live in Germany but I could set up an US Microsoft Account for my Lumia 920 no problem.
I didn't have to provide any mobile number and for the free apps I didn't even had to provide an US address.
But maybe it worked so hassle free for me because I set up my US account on my computer first (which is routed through an US based VPN connection) and then just logged in on the phone (which [for now] still has a German IP address since WP8 unfortunately doesn't support VPN yet) using that account I did set up before.
I even managed to add my German Visa card to my US Microsoft account so that I can now even buy payed apps in the US store no problem - that was a little bit more tricky though. If you're interested in how this can be done let me know but it might be a little risky since it involves entering an "incorrect" postal address and I can't take any responsibility of course.
Today I figured out that I can even download apps from the German store with my US account by just chancing the "Country/Region" in "language+regions" settings to Germany. I downloaded several apps this morning and they sill work after changing the country back to "United States". Haven't tried if I could buy payed apps from the German store so far though.

What is your location? Never heard of having to sending an SMS to activate store.
I am in the UAE. I believe it is coz I activated the acc on the phone. I will try to create another ms account and set the country to the US.
But before that I need to get access to a US VPN. My current VPN is UK based
Then I realised that I cannot do this yet, till Whatsapp is officially avaialble back on the market. I was one of the few lucky that downloaded on 920 and still use it daily! If I reset the phone now, I will loose whatsapp and will not be able to install it again !
Unless there are other ways...... to remove the current MS Account and activate the phone with another MS account.

Questions go into the Q&A area.
Are you sure the vpn is working properly by going to a site like http://whatismyipaddress.com/ to check?
Do you have gps on when going to purchase? Maybe try disabling that?

Yes, the VPN is working.
I use WIFI, Mobile data is always off.
I bought an app on 13/12/2014 it show it in $, i don't know what happened after just one week that play store starts to charge me in NIS not $.
Solved
I solved this issue by settings the US as my country in Google Wallet. Before it was my current county, but now i change it to US and it now shows the prices in $ when i want to click Buy button.
Close this question please.
