New Sprint Phone Every 6 Months at 2 Year Upgrade Pricing! (Sprint Employee's Only) - HTC EVO 3D

So it looks like Sprint will be rolling out a new handset program that will allow us to upgrade to a new phone every 6 months at the 2 year discount price! Cannot wait to hear the details but I am sure it will be costly somehow.
Look towards the bottom of the article at Sprint Rewards Me

..... Huh.
How is this going to effect development?
I mean. Developers getting phones cheaper is always good. But that also gives everyone that itch to jump to the newest phone sooner. So, development might only be good for 6months. I dunno...

Since the qualifications have not been announced yet, I am going to assume most won't qualify for this upgrade as it just sounds to good to be true. If I could get another device every 6 months though I don't think anything would hold me back on that one!

Like the idea a lot LOL in a year mark I had the EVO 4g, iPhone 4, thunderbolt , nexus s 4g, epic 4g, bb bold , iPhone 3gs , galaxy s , ha ha I'm a phone junkie but my favorites are iPhone 4, EVO 3d and thunderbolt cause LTE

So long as it isn't unreasonable? ****ing A right I am. That will keep me from jumping through upgrade hoops, adding lines, suspending lines, paying for buyback programs, finding a buyer, using a case, giving a ****, I'll be able to afford to keep or 2 phones back (the best ones) as backup instead of a generation or 3 ago....
So long as it isn't a gigantic form of anal rape in dollar-sign form I'm in.

I pulled the info below from the link above. Also when I did a search of "sprint rewards me" it seems to go with what is posted below, though I hope it will be for customers as well! Wheres Virus to chime in on this?
C/P
Unless something really changed, Sprint Rewards Me isn't for customers, just employees. SRM is a site employees can log into to claim sales for extra incentives like bonus cash and contest entries. I'd imagine the "New Every 6 Mos." is also an employee only perk since previously a lot of 3rd party Sprint employees were stuck with the standard upgrade program (though they had a great plan discount).
Source: Used to work for a 3rd party Sprint retailer
END C/P

First, I want to point out that one of the comments on the source page ia from someone who states that they used to work for a 3rd party sprint retailer. they state that the program which is being referenced, "sprint rewards me", is a program for people in sprint sales. They didn't claim to know for a fact that this program would only be for customers but did say that it has traditionally been the name of an employee sales program....As far a I can see that probably makes sense. The sprint playbook is something which goes out to sprint employees and retailers, not customers. They highlight the word "YOU" when it says that there is a new program to reward "YOU". Since playbook is sent to employees, not customers, seems they are talking to employees.
Sprint is really starting to fall in line with the other carriers. I don't think that this is a good thing. Think of all things changed just this year. You used to be able to get annual upgrades with sprint premier plans, now they tier the plans so most people no longer qualify. They also added the 10$ "premium data fee" to all smart phones. Now they are raising etf and eliminating one year contracts...pretty much all the reasons I switched to sprint have been eliminated less than a year after signing my contact with them. Don't get me wrong, I plan to stay with sprint even though I could leave etf free. But they are quickly becoming just like every other carrier whereas they used to offer something special. The only thing they offer now is unlimited data without throttling and slightly lower plan prices. But honestly my speeds with sprint are slower than T-Mobile's throttled speeds, do that isn't much of a selling point until they straighten out their network speed issues.
The point is they used to be something special but are quickly becoming another member of the pack. They had better not raise prices or throttle/limit data or they will almost certainly get put out of business by big red or at&t.

Sure! All you gotta do is have at least 10 lines or be on a plan $150 a month or more.

This is really cool. I hope it works the way I'd like.

It is for employees, before we had to pay full price for phones on our third party accounts.

Sprint’s “Rewards Me Plus” Program is for Employees Only
Posted by: Scott Webster
SEPTEMBER 1, 2011
Yesterday saw a Sprint Playbook leaked online which shows what the carrier will be doing over the next few months. Among the details in the playbook were notes of new devices, policy changes, and a rewards program. Called "Rewards Me Plus" it was described as a new phone at full discount, twice a year. While it sounds incredibly awesome to get a new device every six months at the 2-year pricing, it's not something us consumers will be seeing anytime soon. Unfortunately, this is an employee program designed to ensure the sales staff is always current with the new hot (Android) phones. TechHog was able to confirm the details with a Sprint source who advised that general customers can still work towards becoming a Gold Premier member and earn a yearly upgrade.

Sounds too good to be true to me.

I myself work for Sprint and yes that is an employee only deal.

What if someone is on an advantage plan? Would they be eligible as well?

No, it won't be for SWAC.

Sprint Playbook shows big changes coming to Premier program, return policy

hi guys and gals and all you trolls : D
http://www.androidcentral.com/leake...and-you-wont?utm_source=ac&utm_medium=twitter
We just got our hands of a copy of the latest Sprint Playbook, and while we were hoping for some more info about the LG Marquee and Kyocera Milano, what we found was a bit, well, different. It seems that in order to stay competitive with Verizon and AT&T (Sprint's words, not ours), some changes are going to be made to several of the perks everyone on Sprint takes for granted.
For starters, the Sprint Premier program is coming to an end. Current members will be hearing from Sprint sometime after Sept. 16 with all the details, but the short version is starting at the beginning of this month, enrollment in the program stopped, and you'll have to use your current (and final) Premier upgrade on or before Dec. 31, 2012. In addition, the other smaller but just as appreciated perks like accessory discounts and annual anniversary gifts end Dec. 31, 2011. Employees have been instructed how to let everyone down easy, but this will sting no matter how you slice it.
Next up, is a major change to Sprint's 30-day=satisfaction guarantee -- it's getting cut by 16 days. Like we've seen other carriers do, Sprint will now be switching to a 14-day return policy. They will still return everything but the restocking fee, you just have a couple weeks less to make up your mind.
Finally, starting Oct. 2, the "New For You" upgrade time is changing from 22 months, down to 20. Cutting the time down by two months is nice, but will hardly take the sting of losing the yearly Premier benefit away.
Nothing good can last forever folks, and as Sprint reminds us, they have to do something to stay competitive. In the end, it's a business and sometimes you have to rob from Peter to pay Paul. We have some relevant pages of the Playbook after the break.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: It's about damn time.
Am I happy about this? Not at all. But this was going to happen eventually. Sprint is bleeding money without compare. As long as they continue to offer decent coverage, great prices and fantastic customer service I'm all for it. They need to stay competitive. Not to us, they are already very competitive to us...they need to stay competitive to investors or risk a takeover most likely coming from Verizon.
***** and complain all you want, where you gunna go? T-Mobile? Unlikely. That whole law-suit from the DOJ is nothing but a dog-n-pony show.
Sprint has to offer unlimited service, the same fantastic rates, unparalleled customer service while at the same time improving it's network infrastructure all around in order to stand a chance...they know it and it's about time they started acting like it.
....with a strategic partnership with Google they could change the entire game by ditching the voice-n-text strategy and being the first to embrace the "everything is data" paradigm. It's coming. "voice service" all by itself is so, well, last century. We all know it's already digital, why convert back twice and charge us for something we can now do on our own?
...that's just my take...
Well to stay competitive they say. Really how is offering the same price as the other 2 competitive. owell here comes the throttling not now but soon
(doesnt say that but thats the path). Very disappointed indeed.

Well I'd have to say that Unlimited data plans and Unlimited data plans that are still $10-$20 cheaper than tiered (aka "limited data") plans is still a better deal....
....now they are on the same level with all of other companies for ETF and other "little things."
...and as I said they are already very competitive to us, far more than the other choices (besides the doomed T-Mobile)...but it isn't us they need to convince to not sell-out to Verizon, it's the shareholders....and that benefits us too.
As long as they keep the data unlimited, I could care about the other oerks
So much for upgrading annually that's the only reason i was with them
I am pretty disappointed in this news. I left at&t to come to sprint not just because of price but also because of the perks you get with being premiere. Annual upgrades, discounts on accessories, anniversary gifts, etc.
Yes. Price was nice but going to a company that ties verizon for customer service and appreciates its customers to give them a little something back once in a while really sold me on the idea.
The crappy thing is that just after I signed up for a plan that was sprint premier qualified, they switched to a tiered plan. So I was already like wtf! Not to mention that they also started to charge all smartphones a $10 premium instead of just 4g phones (though that didn't really effect me).
I can see the argument that says sprint needs to stop these perks in order to save a bit of capital in order to invest in the network, but I don't think this is a good move for sprint.
The fact is that sprint used to offer several perks that no other carrier did, and they were cheaper than the others. These extra perks made sprint very attractive. The tradeoff is that their network speeds are noticeably slower than their competitions. Many people take that tradeoff because of those perks.
I am betting that if people lose those perks, and all they are left with is an $8 a month savings, they will go to a more reliable network. This loss of customers will lead to a much greater loss of capital than these perks will. sprint still won't be able to invest in their network when they lose 25% of their customers. I just don't see this as being a a good move when you are trying to standout against the competition.

Sprint needs to keep something in mind:
Sure, they have unlimited data (for now anyway), but beyond that if they align themselves too closely with Verizon and ATT, they may actually need to provide a reliable fast data service.
Why do I have better data speed when roaming? Because sprints network is pathetic in comparison. And if they align too closely, everyone that has been satisfied with unlimited data and yearly upgrades might start to notice how poor their service really is.
i see people saying sprint has unlimited data this is true ... but for how long changes like this happened to VRW right before the iphone was announced . what finally happened .. data caps . only thing that was helping sprint is unlimited data ..
now that the premiere is gone the upgrade fee is jumping etf is jumping what's going to keep people around ?
surely not the data speeds ..
Another thing...while unlimited data is great and all, only something like 2% of people use even 2GB a month. The fact is that the vast majority of people are good with limited data. the huge data hogs that are all drawn to sprint and leave other networks. This clogs up sprints already lackluster network even more while freeing up a competitors network. plus, since only a small percentage of people come to sprint for the unlimited data plan, that means they really aren't gaining market share. And to make matters even worse the customers they do get aren't really profitable because they are consuming so much data...

This puts me close to my edge here. Been with sprint for over 10yrs as i was with nextel well before so i was enjoying my premier gold status and yearly upgrades.
This change will greatly make me rethink things when my yr comes up which will be in 2yrs as ill upgrade to whatever next yr while its still valid, and the yr after that will be the deciding factor. If I can't call and negeotiate getting the 2yr upgrade then walking i will likely be doing, and thats what will keep me here, long as i can call in and get the 2yr price ill stick here, first time that doesn't happen ill likely walk.
take away the silver status but **** reward something to the people that have stuck around through thick and thin 10yrs plus and let them upgrade every year!!

Ditto, I'm still pissed but yeah, I'd drop premier if it meant keeping my data unlimited, Just like it say's in Hesse's dictionary.
I draw the line at the costs & the data.
I love all 12Mbps down of my unlimited data.
so instead of upgrading every year we have to wait 20 months for new upgrades? that's gonna suck ****ing hard for me. really hard. im not one too hang onto a phone for too long. especially this one
Up next, tiered data. I dont know why anyone is surprised...
I understand why Sprint is doing it, but it really pisses me off. I upgraded my plan in July to make my plan cost enough to be a Gold Premiere member and it would take affect next month. Then I would be eligible for an upgrade because I didn't use on for the Evo 3D and planned on using that upgrade to get the Nexus Prime when it comes out. I will be calling Sprint and I will be complaining to see if I can get my upgrade or at least downgrade my plan back to where it was and get my $ back for the 2 months I spent at a higher plan which will probably be 3 by the time I talk to them.
No other carrier offers the yearly upgrade, so this will put Sprint more on par with other carriers. To me it is still the best deal because of unlimited across the board for less than tiered plans with other carriers.
I understand why they would get rid of most of the program but they are WRONG to do that to the 10+ year members......If they don't keep it for us they will bleed MANY of their longtime customers!!!!!! It's just dirty to do this to 10+ year customers!!!!!

How useful is unlimited data when you get 100kbs download speeds with full 3G coverage? The only reason I'm with Sprint is because of all these little extra perks that they keep taking away. I've also been with Sprint for over 10 years and it's a real shame. I don't know about everyone else but in my area Sprint's backhaul is so bad that data speeds are absolutely ****! Particularly unusable during peak hours. Most of my friends have Verizon and although their bills are higher, they get awesome data speeds. There's also a rumor that Verizon will be getting LTE in my area soon. If that happens I would happily pay my EFT and sign up with Verizon. I've been waiting for 4G in my area since the release of EVO 4G and there's no plan of them adding it any time soon. I would sign with T-Mobile but they don't even have 3G data in my area. However, that actually might not be a bad idea because I only get 1X speeds on Sprint anyhow.
Soon, all the carriers will be offering very similar services. Sprint increased the ETF, added a few cents to the monthly bill, removed lots of perks they offered to premiere customers etc. With all these changes, how long do you think the unlimited everything plan will last?
Once Sprint upgrades it's 3g network to evdo rev b, that'll be the end of unlimited everything.

Sprint is Nickel and Diming us

Sprint is making some more changes starting early next year. Apparently Family plans are going to lose the extra Employee Discounts, off the second line. We all know Sprint cancelled the discounts off the additional lines (line 3 and up) some time ago.
If you have an Employer Discount, the way it works now, is that you get a Discount (20% for me) on lines 1 & 2, as they billed together as Primary and Secondary. So I get $25.98 off my plan every month with the discount. Effective February the included line TWO, will be split as a separately billed line at $19.99. Line ONE (the Primary) will be $110 as it's own line.
So you will only be getting the Employer Discount off Primary line ONE, which now costs $110. Lines TWO through whatever, will get no discount. My bill will go up an extra $4 basically. Not the end of the world, but just another cut they have implemented. I remember I used to get my Employee discount off all my lines. Just makes you wonder what's next?

While I don't want this but I can say it's gonna be no more unlimited data.
I can honestly see that change coming about, right before they officially roll out LTE. They may let it stay for a while under Grandfathered plans, but if you wanna upgrade...bam there goes unlimited.
Meh...its not like there aren't other options. I wonder if you could use this sudden change of contract as a way out of your contract? I mean after all, it's no longer the family plan you signed up for if they change it, right?
Yes you will be able to. Any change that you can claim adversely affects you financially and they legally can not enforce the ETF as a way out. This includes any change in Billing, whether it be 10 cents more in taxes, or partial Pennies. Any and all increases can be used to get out of your contract without ETF. I have heard of People given a hard time with this from multiple carriers, but in that case it is just talking to the right person.
For anyone given a hard time use this "You have an option here, either allow me to cancel my contract without penalty, or give me your full name, and employee identification number. Transfer me to a supervisor so I can get his/her name and ID. You will be named in my complaint to my state district attorney for breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contractual law. Afterwards if necessary I will retain a lawyer if necessary."
This tells them that they have broken two laws, and are aiding in the broken law if they don't escalate the matter to someone authorized to make decisions on contract releases. If they broke the law and it isn't taken care of you will be sending the matter to your state attorney general who will initiate a class action lawsuit, where the person will be named. State attorney generals really will act on this. On matters that affect many many of their constituents that can reelect them, they love taking and fighting the case. I'd almost guarantee after this threat that they will let you out ETF free. I have used this a dozen times successfully on contracts with carriers and gyms, etc when they broke the law. Works every time. Not a matter of if, just a matter of time
I'm about done with sprint personally. As far as post paid carriers go they are the cheapest. But compare the quality of my service compared to all the prepaid people at work, I'm paying twice what they are paying for the same quality/data speed.. All I have to show for it is a better phone. BTW i played with a galaxy nexus at the mall today, I ran a speed test 16mbs'sec download and 4mbs'sec unload!!!!!

I am trying so hard to hold out until at least the end of 2012 to see if things will improve with sprint as far as better 3g performance and a decent lte foot print but I am really starting to have some serious doubts. It really looks like I may end up having to switch to at&t pretty soon.

Same here. I'll move my family to Verizon or T-MO while I move to prepaid AT&T goodness. That unlocked international Galaxy SII is starting to look better and better...
Afterall, it's literally the best phone out minus the Galaxy Nexus.
In metro detroit the data speeds are so bad that I can't even stream pandora without a 30 second re-buffering between songs. One day i tried to download roam control to force roaming on verizon and it was too slow to even start the download.
Speedtest.net app shows my speed at about 0.05 mbit the vast majority of the time with .3 mbit the max i've really seen and that is at 6:30am when the network is clear. And all this with an extra 10 dollar charge for the privelage.
Unlimted data is a catch 22 for me .. with sprint and using my phone constantly I can never even hit 2gb in a month because its so slow. With verizon i would hit 2gb in a couple days. This employee discount deal may be my excuse to get off of sprint and onto a real provider.
Between my contract and being on my parents contract before that I have probably been with sprint for about 15 years.. the funny thing is I cant ever remember being happy with their service.

Because pre paid carriers get unlimited talk text data for about 50 a month. Since sprint is so terrible specially in the data department...its almost worth doing. You can get a pre paid carrier that runs on the Verizon network, so it's a definite option to consider.

[Q] Any discounts available for a new customer?

I am thinking about coming to Verizon. I am on Sprint now with 2 lines with data on both. Because of a recent billing change I can get out of my contract until Saturday, March 10th. Sprint has went downhill in my area over the past year or so, but their prices are still good. I am looking to get a discount of some sort to help deal with the price difference. I will be getting 2 smartphones with data (likely used month to month at first until newer phones come out). I work for a small electrical contractor in a small town so I won't be eligible for a employee discount. Is there any tricks I can use to get a discount? Maybe somebody else's work email or something like that? If anybody knows anything please post or PM me with details/ link to thread/ anything. Thanks
I don't plan on signing a contract immediately because I would like to wait on HTC's next big phone. I have had the Evo3d since launch day and am a smartphone junky, so I don't think I could handle such similar phones for almost 3 consecutive years with no upgrade. I would like to go ahead and sign a contract now, use a used phone in the meantime and have an upgrade waiting on me when I get ready to use it, but the customer sales rep for Verizon said that wasnt possible. If anybody has any input, info, or advice please help me out. I have to swap carriers and get my 2 numbers ported before the end of the day Saturday, or I'm stuck with Sprint for another 14-16 months...That would be AWEFUL!
Thanks!
Can't you terminate your contract with sprint, but just stay on month to month without the contract?
getting discounts here isnt as easy as it was on sprint. i came from sprint, all you needed was an email and you were set. here they want proof of employment or if they use email, they send confirmation to that email from what ive seen. not to your own email. but those are few companies that do that so its harder. lol

No.. What they do is waive the ETFs AFTER you've ported out in a case like this.
Trust me.. they more than pushed me out last month with their attitude about the whole thing.
Sprint did indeed go downhill and while it is cheaper and truly unlimited.. you AREN'T getting what you're paying for anymore. VZWs 3G speeds blow away sprints and let's not even talk about 4G because it's night and day too. Sprint isn't even going to expand their current 4G network (wimax) because of the soured relationship with Clear. Oh and by the way... my 4G works just as fast indoors as it does outdoors. After 9 years with sprint that contract change was the final straw.
Make sure you get in during the double data deal because i'm not sure i would be comfy with a 2GB monthly cap.

unfortunately not. The guy I talked to said I have to be off the network completely by March 10th or I am stuck for the remainder of my contact. I have read that a few were allowed to go month to month and many that had 30 days after they called, but the rep told me it is 30 days from the February billing cycle. I just found out about this today and called right after work. So I have basically 3 days to have my numbers ported over to Verizon or I am out of luck.
Anybody have an account with no discount for 2 lines, 700 minutes, unlimited text, and 2gb(4gb under promotion) on both? If so what does it end up being after all taxes, surcharges, etc? I pay $167.XX on Sprint right now, and really hope Verizon can keep it under $200.
What if you port to att or verizon off contract? Then just port the number back to sprint off contract.

Somehow I think that would be a nightmare-ish idea.. especially if the OP needs his line for work.
If you need to port that quick you'll also need to do an in-store purchase. I think $167 for the package you stated is probably close to doable. You'll also get much more friendly/helpful customer service with verizon. Playing devil's advocate you should also be aware that verizon's mobile to mobile only includes other VZW customers unlike sprints any mobile to mobile.

That sound very tempting to try, but just sounds risky. I know I have read somewhere that if you cancel your contract on Sprint and come back within 30 days that you basically are just on your same old contract again. I maybe wrong, or whoever said it may have been wrong, I don't remember where I read it. But if someone has experience doing something like this I would love to here about it. It would at least get me through until HTC releases a quad core, or s4 based phone.

If you like HTC phones like i do.. just compare the specs of the verizon phones to the sprint phones (htc->htc). You'll see that verizon has much better specs on the phones than sprint too.

The on network mobile to mobile is now problem, because 90% of the people around here have Verizon anyway. The package I put together online was about $173 (before taxes and surcharges) , but I think I had insurance for 2 rezounds for that price.

I have to disagree. My Evo3d is very similar to my coworker's rezound . It has basically the same processor only .3ghz slower, same amount or RAM, same screen size, QHD screen vs 720p (the difference is honestly not noticeable when held side by side) and it came out about 4 months before. Don't get me wrong I really like the Rezound, but I feel it hardly has much better specs, slightly better specs at most.
That's what originally drew me to Sprint, they get the hottest phones first, and low monthly costs. But their service has let me down recently.
Please don't take offense to this post, I mean no disrespect
Well if it's close.. I would say to you exactly what I told my wife when I dropped Sprint. Sprint has done NOTHING to keep my account. They have not done anything with their local infrastructure. They never respond to trouble tickets. Their status quo really sucked bad.
Verizon on the other hand, has done extensive network upgrades and is very responsive to any problem you have.

Sprint discounts

Despite re-upping my contract 2 more years LAST YEAR with studentrate, sprint is asking me to reaffirm my eligibility right now. I currently have 23% off listed as "employee discount". I'm not sure why I wouldn't get studentrate's discount for my full 2 year contract considering that was most of the reason I did it through them..?
At any rate, does anyone know what discounts are out there if I can't get studentrate to renew mine? I used to have a 10% one that everyone gets, but it would be nice if there's a way to do better.

Its probably worth noting that Sprint's changed their policies on getting/keeping corporate discounts. If you start a new line of service or upgrade an existing line of service, you need to prove you're eligible for the discount. This can only be done online at www.sprint.com/verify. If you don't go to this website and complete the verification process within 30 days (pretty sure it's 30 days, might be 15) of starting the new line or upgrading, the corporate discount will be removed from your account.
This might be hard to believe, but it turns out there were a ton of people who claimed to be employed by certain companies, or claimed to be students at a specific school, who weren't - they just told sprint they were in order to get that company's or school's discount. In the same respect, a ton of people are no longer with the companies that got them a discount, or are no longer students, but never told Sprint that they shouldn't be getting that discount anymore.

Wierd - it's supposed to be company-wide at this point. How long ago was "just"? Did you go through retentions or anything? Keep your eye on your bill - I wouldn't be surprised if they notify you in a bill insert that you now have to go to that site to verify your discount since you just upgraded.
Some additional info/details found here.
anybody know if you can still get the EPRP discount from one of the sprint folks on here?

You do realize that Sprint's plans are the biggest bang for the buck, right? Just because people are getting discounts that they're (mostly) entitled to, doesn't raise the price of the service. In fact, it's probably one of the cheapest services around without discounts.

I think what he's saying is that because too many people game the system, it's costing sprint too much money, and sprint has to make that money back somewhere.

I called the 1-800 Sprint number and just feed them since BS that I was tired of my phone and wanted to get a new one and I was very unhappy and they let me buy it out so I could get the early upgrade. It was when the phone was just released.

Well, they're not doing it with the cost of service, because it hasn't fluctuated in a long time. The price of TEP has gone up, but only because of the price of phones going up (and probably because people are constantly returning them for stupid reasons and they accept just about anything as a replacement).

I wouldnt blame it on that as much as id like to. I understand that prices havent fluctuated in awhile but a few months ago i do remember a revamp if you will of the plans especially the family plan that changed how it was billed but not actually the price of it. I do know that i dont recieve my discount on the other lines like it used its only applied to my primary line. My previous statement about price rise wasnt just talking about sprint but all across the board whether it be cell service groceries or anything else. If a company is getting cheated out of money they have to make it up somehow so they strategically raise prices or add charges (i.e. 10 smartphone charge or whatever its called) to make up for losses of either false discounts false insurance claims theft or any other reason for lost profits. Ok i think thats enough for right now lol

Sprint petition

Hello,
I didn't see anything in the rules section against this, but if it is against the rules I apologize in advance.
Since every other carrier is charging $299.99 for the Note 3 and Sprint it charging $349.99 I was hoping that we could petition Sprint to lower the price down to everyone elses level. I'm hoping that if I get enough people behind this a lot of people can save some money.
https://www.change.org/petitions/sprint-lower-the-2-year-contract-price-of-the-samsung-galaxy-note-3-to-299-99-like-other-carriers#
Thank you for looking and sorry if you disagree with me, I'm just a person trying to try not to get ripped off. If anyone on here has a reason for me as to why they are charging more for it than other carriers, please post it, but please post facts and have proof to back it up. Everyone gave me reasons on Sprints facebook page but no one wants to post any facts to back it up.
I am not on Sprint and never will be anytime soon but I signed it for you anyway
Good petition, promotes positive competition for us as consumers

Thanks for signing it. Apparently everyone else doesn't care how much they pay for a phone however.
Signed bro... as I said on the petition this is one of MANY reasons I switched over to T-Mobile, which actually is offering the N3 for $199 btw.
So much for all carriers are offering it for $299 eh?

That's 199 up front and $21 a month for 2 years! 21x24 is $504 plus the $199.99 up front and that's $703.99 over the two years.
Cool Petition though, I hope it gets you somewhere! **Signed**
Signed it for you as well, going to be ditching these guys soon anyway. Good luck.
Since when has a petition REALLY done anything in a situation like this?
If you really look at it, Sprint is not really any cheaper than verizon anyway.
voice-data coverage and speed once you do get data..
Sprint does offer unlimited data, but its more expensive than any other carrier for like 1% of
the coverage of any other carrier, and when you finally do find data its terribly slow.
Also, if you just wait a few weeks you can probably get it much much cheaper..
Signed. Thanks op

I'm in the UK and this will have no effect over here, however, I've still signed it. Hope the price comes down following this petition.
I'm on AT&T, but I can understand wanting the same price as others. Signed.
Signed it as I want the N3 soon.
I have never seen so many people worked up over $50 before. You'd think it was a bank breaker the way some of you guys are whining and threatening to switch to T-Mobile, which actually turns out to be full retail price if you know math.
I understand you want it to be the same across carriers, I get it. That would be ideal, but seriously guys, it's $50, not $100. Sprint won't care how many people sign this petition.

I understand that, but when you think about how Sprint is the cheapest carrier out of the 4, their pricing strategy suddenly starts to make sense. I'd rather pay a lower monthly bill and have them continue to undercut the competition at the expense of $50 added to a contract phone than to have the phones be the same price across the board with higher monthly bills. They have to make money somehow. You can't continue stay competitive and lose out every quarter. That's stupid business.

Of course,
I am a Sprint customer as well, the $50 pricing discrepancy doesn't really sway me one way or the other. I have a unlimited and I have a family plan. I have priced the competition over the years and I haven't found anything close to what I pay over a calendar year.
I have come to terms with the Tri-band fiasco, I just wish they would come out and say something that made absolute sense about the how's and the why's... It's not 1995 anymore news and especially things like pricing and service related news, travels fast and then blows up into Sprint bashing fodder on various internet sites.
I had two people over hear a conversation I had last night and left T-mobile to join Sprint... Math skills ftw!!

So essentially they will give you a trade in value of whatever you owe (as long as the phone isn't smashed) and you start the new payment plan. Gotcha!
