I also use occasionally MyPhoneExplorer for backup and SMS. Anybody can give us a good advice and/or comparison on this category "Desktop Android device manager"!!??

[Tutorial] WiFi FTP access files

WiFi FTP access files
I am a follower of the principle "Keep it simple and easy to understand for others".
I hope this tutorial to be simple, but surely access files will be more simple.
This tutorial refers to connecting your phone with your PC via WiFi FTP.
In this way there will be no need to use USB cable to transfer files.
You need:
- WinSCP (for Windows) - it is free, I use it portable, or another FTP application.
- Nalic.app.wifishare-2.5.5.apk - free
- Root Browser or X-plore - or anyway, a browser that can access the system files on your phone.
Procedure
Download Nalic.app.wifishare.apk and install it on your phone.
Open Nalic.app.wifishare.apk
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Download WinSCP and open it.
Enter the address and port, as indicated your Nalic.app.wifishare, (not mine).
And if the connection is done correctly, you will see the files on your SDCard.
If you want to access other folders on your phone, go to Nalic - Settings (upper left) - Stay in folder -> then click on Custom and choose a different folder. Then restart Nalic and reconect with FTP application.
Notes
The phone and the PC must be in the same network.
To access the system files, the phone must to be rooted.
If your phone is not rooted, you can access only external SDCard files.
If you can not copy the system files from your PC to phone, then you can copy them initially to SDCard and then with Root Browser (or other apk) Copy - Paste in the system folder.
I hope this tutorial to be useful.

"Keep it simple and easy to understand for others" it is one of the rules of innovation.

General Parental Control by Modifying HOSTS File

Do you not want your child to see adult content on your Windows computer? If not then this thread may be for you.
Five in 100 visitors of porn sites are under 10 years old.
I know there are several ways to block porn contents ( photos, videos, and websites ) on your Windows computer: Using HOSTS file - what is present on each Windows computer - to block those sites is a great way to limit which porn and violent content an be watched, IMO.
Attached is a HOSTS file what contains almost 20,000 porn-blocking entries - compiled Jan 15, 2023.
You add these porn-blocking entries to your existing HOSTS file via Windows CMD ( must be launched as Adminstrator ) as shown next
Code:
CD \%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\Drivers\Etc
IF EXIST "HOSTS*.*" ATTRIB +A -H -R -S HOSTS*.* >nul
IF EXIST "HOSTS" COPY /Y /A HOSTS HOSTS.bak
IF EXIST "HOSTS" COPY /Y /A HOSTS + <full-path-to-anti-porn-file-here> HOSTS.new >nul
IF EXIST "HOSTS" REN HOSTS.new HOSTS >nul
Of course you also may use HostsMan app to add these entries to existing HOSTS file.
Important Notices:
1. Adding the porn-blocking entries to HOSTS file doesn't make any changes to the Registry or install any additional
files to the Operating System.
2. In some cases, Windows can reset “HOSTS” file to default state because of the Protection, you may need to use File – Hosts File – Add Exclusions to Windows Defender feature to avoid it.
3. In most cases a large HOSTS file ( over 135 KB ) tends to slow down a Windows machine.
To resolve this issue (manually) open the "Services Editor"
Start | Run (type) "services.msc" (no quotes)
Scroll down to "DNS Client", Right-click and select: Properties - click Stop
Click the drop-down arrow for "Startup type"
Select: Manual, click Apply/Ok and restart.
Please remove the two quotation marks from the link so that the page opens correctly.
