[Q] ADW Launcher EX w/Desktop Visualizer and homescreens? - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Themes and Apps

All,
I'm trying to tweak my Galaxy Tab with ADW EX and Desktop Visualizer. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to create a shortcut to a specific screen ie screen 1,2,3,4.... with Desktop Visualizer.
I know how to create a shortcut in ADW EX to a specific screen, but can't figure out how to do it in Desktop Visualizer.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

Create shortcuts in ADW EX to specific screens, remove icons and text from them and place them under Desktop Visualizer widgets (allow widgets overlapping option in ADW EX should be selected).

I accomplished mine without using desktop visualizer since I couldnt figure out a way to do it with it. I did it by going to Launcher actions > Screen 2 (as an example) and then deleting the text and changing the icon to transparent. I also removed the glow from the icons so you dont see each individual icon when you press one.
Note: I put the "button" on the wallpaper and then this over top to make it work properly.

Joedoe,
I created the ADW EX shortcut with the specific screen. I can remove the text, but when you click on the icons, it forced you to pick an icon. How did you remove the icons.
Also, I check the overlapping option in ADW, but I don't understand how this can effect Desktop Visualizer. Can you please explain?
Thanks!

Use a blank transparent image as an icon. Put the Desktop Visualizer widget next to ADW shortcut and resize it to cover the shortcut.

Defy screenshots

I'd like to start a thread to collect Defy's screenshots with a small description of the used apps; I'll start with mine:
From left to right: left home screen - main home screen - right home screen - lockscreen.
App used for home screens: launcher pro free edition.
App used for lockscreen: widgetlocker.
Widgets: DigitalClock, CircleBattery, CalWidget, SnowStorm, SMSUnreadCountClassic, Widgetsoid.
As you can see I love minimalism .
Feel free to post yours!
PS: in order to capture screen images you need to root the device (which is easy using z4root) and any of the free screenshot apps from the market.
Here's mine.
That was 2 days ago. It was a standart ROM - 2.21 with blur. Now i got Clean 2.34 blurless Rom jit/deodexd.
Removed zeam for a launcher pro and tweaking it next. Will post a new home screen in a week.
Lockscreen:
widgetlocker with simiclock and minimal theme.
left side:
launcher pro messages
and cal widget
middle(mainscreen)
smooth calendar on the top(shows nothing on screen)
big widget clock with text(don't remember it's name, i've flashed another rom now)
lastcall widget
on right screen:
I got extended controls right before recovering for a new flash.
Nice pics, but how did you customize widgetlocker bars?

set the slider action to no slider, then, with a blank screen select custom slider and then just set up the slider options in a different place.
little update to my lock screen with launcherpro style icons:
Leftscreenoweramp widget (paid)
Mainscreen(middle): battstat, simmiclockwidget, calwidget, desktop visualizer for icons
Rightscreen: banner, traffic counter, widgetsoid2.x,
and using launcherpro plus
what programs are you guys using to take pictures...

Install a customized widget locker =))
or you can customize, and use your own graphics.
You can get one here: tap me.
I use one named minimal.
If you just want to change the icon use a program called desktop visualizer its free

I think that deffo gets top prize for minimalism lol
Didnt quote for image length.
Its clean and tidy If there was a way to make the top bar black with the clocked removed i would keep it but untill i find a way to do it i will stick with no bar >)
if you don't want it all black like jboogie's you need to make your own theme, but you will also need his services.jar to change the font

[Q] How can i make a shortcut that does nothing

Using ADW Launcher EX and i want the 5 icon dock spacing but only 3 icons. So i would like to put 2 shortcuts in the empty spaces that do nothing - then make the shortcut icon match the background or dock so it is basically invisible.
So, anyone know how i can make a shortcut that does nothing - you tap on it and it does nothing.
Thanks for any ideas.

[Q] Accuweather Widget and ADW Launcher EX

Hi,
I have Accuweather widget and want to add it to my homescreen using the option add widget with ADW Launcher EX. The problem is when I do Add Widget it open the widget configuration instead of letting me place de widget, like all other widgets do.
Is there a way to make it add that widget to the screen instead of opening the configuration like it does ?
Thanks in advance

[Q] Custom sized shortcuts (NOT widgets) with Apex Launcher

So I'm redoing my home screen, and I want to have a few text icons that take me directly to specific home screens. Apex launcher has action shortcuts for this, but they are only 1x1. I cannot use widgets to get these actions... I have to use shortcuts. I have done what I want with 1x1 shortcuts, but they are just too small for my taste. I really want 2x1 shortcuts. I have not been able to figure out how to make them with either Simple Text or Desktop Visualizer.
Any suggestions?
I have exactly the same question. Did you ever find a solution?
edit: I found a clunky work-around by taking advantage of the fact that Apex lets you overlap widgets. I made a totally hidden apex action shortcut by removing the shortcut text and using a transparent icon that I made with Simple Text (careful with these, because if you forget where they are on your homescreen they're hard to find!). Then I put a 2x1 Simple Text widget (that does nothing) over the top. The problem of course is that the shortcut only works if you press the 1x1 area where the apex action shortcut is!

Help with Simple Text

Help!
I'm trying to create a HUBS type layout with Simple Text. I'm using ADW Ex.
I've added the launcher actions to jump around the screens.
I'm then adding a simple text 1x1 widget to link to Folder Organiser, but I can't get it to line up! Any ideas?
Cheers....
Try it using a 2x1 widget.
Nope.. I now have a 1x1 and a 2x1 lined up! But not the launcher icon.
