Hi everyone, recently i encounter a problem when i use rom. i couldn't connect to and mobile netork(3g) when i use rom. But when i switch back to the original 2.1 the 3g come back. Is there any solution to solve this? THANKS ALOT! I am using the latest radio 63.18.55.06PU_6.35.15.14 but i just could not get 3g on any roms i tried.
You need to enter your carrier's APN information.
how do i do that?
what is your mobile network ?
If you know what you have to enter in the apn settings, you have to go to settings>Wireless & networks>Mobile networks>access point names then hit Menu and new apn...
Search the forum for APN settings - there are lots of areas to find your details.
i stay in singapore and i cant find any apn sertings for singapore user?

m new here.. so pardon me (in advance) for violating any rule n regulations of xda.. and also for my bad english...
but m asking dis question after trying everything that i knew
m using t-mobile hd2 leo,, but m using it in other region( Pakistan). I was using win 6.5 and it was working fine xcept "MMS" i wasnt able to recieve or send mms.. i tried to send mms to myself.. i got few times but still i wasnt able to download mms. i tried everything possible which i cud doo.. i tried DocHd2MMSFix file and CRCs ARcSoft MMS v5 as well but again same results
now i hav flashed ENERGYROM... again i m having same problem... it automatically detects internet nd MMS settings.. but as far as MMS's setting is concerned... these are correct except its port number. By default its P.N. is 80.
If I send MMS with default setting.. It gives Error OF "AUTHORIZATION REQUIRED"
i go to servers tab and try to change it manually.. my network port number is 9201 with wap 2.0 or port number 8080 with Wap 1.2 but the problem is it doesnt accept " PORT NUMBER 9201 with Wap 2.0" instead it accepts it with Wap 1.2. or Port Number: 80 with wap 2.0.now m confused how to change it..

Try to change your SIM card to new one from your mobile operator.
Hi, My name is Masaki, I'm from Peru, I have a problem with my Xperia X10a, my phone was operator locked (I buy it from my friend, he uses this phone with movistar operator but I have a line with another operator called claro.
My friend say he can unlock the operator lock, for this, he use a program called medusa box, after a few minutes he finally can unlock the phone, but, now, the phone only can connect to edge band, the 3G don't work anymore, somebody can help me?

All work ok in the phone, I tried original rom (android 2.1), updated rom (2.3.3) custom rom... custom kernel, with no result...
when I choose "only WCDMA mode", I lost the singal (phone and data) and a error appear (no operator found), only work when I use "GSM only" or "prefered WCDMA to GSM" (but work in GSM/edge mode only)
the local operator (both) are X10a band compatible
Did you try relocking the phone ?
Maybe a bad unlock procedure.

You can try this. I found that in some roms it is more easy to change than in others. Miui roms seem to have more settings to change than stock based roms.

Since Claro doesn't use 2100 MHz band you will have Edge only. Or switch to carrier with 2100 band for 3G.

Well, if 850 and 1900 are what is supported in your Country, and both 850 and 1900 are not available in the X10i, it probably would be best for you to sell the X10i and buy an X10a.

Since your OP stated it was an X10i, that would have been the problem with no hspa. I am not sure but perhaps restoring to original 2.3.3 and baseband following the link below exactly might get your hspa working. Good luck.

My phone is a x10a model from the start, I tried the original rom from local claro (android 1.6 and android 2.1) I tried the SE generic version update (android 2.3.3) custom roms + Kernel: doom kernel 1133 + Xperia S ported to X10 from chickensito (Android 2.3.7)
The problem still remain

Tried x10i bands maybe your unlock changed your phone into a x10i what is your baseband I am just speculating

people have helped you and you need to find a new carrier as the one you have dose not support the radio frequencies of the x10a try to trade sell it and buy a x10i or get a carrier that supports the radio of the phone you have.

My local carrier (both) work with Xperia X10a, X10i don't work here.
try if you can get a band on another carrier preferably does have the the
2100mhz band just to confirm that your radio is working

(the x is either i or a)
You have an e10i, so the robyn is the one for you.
As for your second question: Apart from rooting your phone, did you unlock the bootloader too? Is your phone still capable of making phonecalls and sms-messages?
What steps did you take so far?
yes bootloader is unlocked and I will make calls and messages.

Please.. don't recommend a Mini-Pro rom to someone with a Mini, They are NOT compatible...
As for the second question: You probably need new network settings to connect to your provider's 3G network.
Search their website on how to set up APN's (Access Point Names), or maybe they can do that automatically ( Mine asks for a message to a special number, and it sends me installation-sms messages which automatically set up the access points )
You can check that under: Settings - Wireless and Network - Mobile Networks - Access Point Names on your phone, if that section is empty you need it configured according to the instructions from your provider.
