Tweaks and addons Wolfs TW Gingerbread Rom - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everybody, I installed the Wolfs TW Gingerbread -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192988
It works fine, it suppose to have some addons, some of them I didnt find.
Like xLoud,DLNA , theme chooser, for example.
The post of the rom in the features appear some stuff, but I dont know if I have to install manually,
Am I the only one with this problem ?

u had to go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16580350&postcount=6114 and choose the desire addon to download and flash it using xrecovery

thanks a lot, I thought the last rom included all the features, because the addons are from august, and the new rom is from september!

How to search in minicm7 ROM (way around)

As everyone know, on minicm7 the market search return with no results
it's very wiered
however, I've found a way around this problem
you have to install an app called "best apps market"
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.bestappsmarket.android.bestapps
from this app there is a search bar, if you search it will give you a good list of results
once you choose any of then it will direct you to the app in android market
it's working with me 100%
thanks for slade87 & nobodyatall for the great rom
Old bug just on that rom ,it now has little or no suport as dev left ,switch roms beter out there now anyway try d4 roms first
well, for me this rom is perfect except for this bug + cam
I gave up for the camera
all roms build on cm6 has some problems with the Arabic fonts (cyano minicm6 ...etc)
the stock rom sux, so I'm left with this great rom which looks awesome even if I switched to arabic
so if I exclude cm6 ,,, 80% of the roms are gone
sonybread keeps rebooting ( tried every possible way) + it's similar to the stock rom
I will wait for D4 to post links for GingerDX ,,, if it's not build on cm6 I will give it a shot
edit: seems that GingerDX is built in gengerbread ( it's obviouls from its name lol ) so I will give it a shot for sure

[Q] Best Rom for S II

I just wanted to know whats the best stock rom for S II. I am happy with the phone's performance on 2.3.3. I want every features of the stock rom better audio quality, google talk with video calls and atlast tad better battery life.
Well, i think the battery life is depend on individual settings, like 3G,Wifi,sync etc.
For me is Leomar75 Revolution the best Rom at the moment. It comes with a kitchen app that allows you to install themes, roms and kernels. i tried Skyrom, Criskelo and lightning. look in the thread from Leomar and then decide for yourself.
2.3.4 is almost knocking on the door, so no benefit to discuss about 2.3.3, still am using the KF3 for a month now, very stable and the best IMO.
Criskelo V10, Lighning 5,Skyrom 4.0 and LeoMar75 2.4 are based on the latest firmware XXKG6 Gingerbread 2.3.4, LeoMar is the only with FullWipe (Apps and Settings cleared)
The next official Stock Firmware with 2.3.4 will be roll out soon
As the first rom i would use litening rom, no root needed and it can ne flashed via odin. Comes with root and cwm. At the moment i like leomar rom most, his kitchen app is really cool and easy to use, for kernels rom updates themes and other stuff. Nearly every day updated .
You have to try.
the best roms are:
1 - samsung stock
2 - CM
3 - AOSP ports
Other roms bring next to nothing (couple of menu item tweaks and sound tweaks) but bugs and a skin. You've to realize that all the claims they make about speed or battery have no substance, there is nothing that is done toward those goals and 99% of them don't actually know what they're doing at all. Sad state of affairs if you ask me.
I have tried almost all the ROMs out here in XDA, except CyanogenMod. Out of all the ROMs that I tried, MIUI is the best in terms of User Experience and User Interface and above all the super fantastic battery life. Go and give it a try, you wont be disappointed. This is the REAL ROM, the MIUI guy has taken customization totally to a different level.
If you're a fan of stock with some few subtle additions try Darky2 KG6 ROM. I applied the ROM (No wipe), then applied the odexer zip and then a JKay theme and app from the themes section. Looks sweet and works perfectly
Cm (Cyanogenmod) is a very good rom, but not at this time and not if you using Kies. I am waiting for stable Version and will test it too
LeoMar is a very good rom. The kitchen app is very useful if you want to flash kernels, themes and if there is a new update you can flash it thru kitchen app.
CM7 Ftw! And of course for a full AOSP eperience, you can try AdamG's Oxygen!
I will be sticking to CM7 though, for me it's the best, fully customizable and full of tweaks.
Thank for guiding
I beleive I should try no wipe roms at first then I should try the full-wipe roms.

[Q] FXP and SK17A

I have an SK17A (Xperia Mini Pro) and am interested in installing FXP on it. I have some questions:
1) Will I notice improved performance over Sony ROM .58? Will most everything work as it should? Will an average user experience an improvement using FXP? Or will I be more frustrated with unknown issues?
2) I'm leaning towards the CM 7.2 ROM and not the CM 9.0 ROM based on what I have read in the developer forum as 9.0 seems very unstable and buggy at this point. Is this accurate?
3) There seem to be outstanding bugs in FXP based on CM 7.2 (keyboard issues, etc) that are easily fixable but have been around for a long time. Are they really easily fixable? Why haven't they been fixed in FXP 103?
4) Why do I need to install Sony ROM .42? Is the install not possible with .58?
5) Why is there no GAPPS download linked for the Xperia Mini Pro in the FXP thread?
6) If I proceed I assume I need to follow these general instructions:
-unlock boot using fastboot
-install CWM
-backup (Nandroid?)
-install FXP
-install GAPPS
Is this accurate?
Any answers to these questions would be greatly appreciated as I haven't seen them in my forum browsing and searching so far.
First of all NO ONE CAN COMPARE WITH STOCK ROM STABILITY ! In case of stability stock ROM is THE BEST ! And the performance ? With few uninstallation of unwanted software and freezing unwanted process you can make stock rom even more faster than CM is...
Second CM is in [development] its 100% not stable and fully working out of box as Stock ROM is....
and CM9 is highly......... unstable right now I have tested it on my XMP and i reflashed to stock ROM in just 15 min of look.
Third CM is not giving concern to problems as they have posted the keyboard fixes and other fixes before so they are just developing ROM for other things ...
You have to hit your head over forums to solve your each and every bug you found.
Fourth you need not to be on .42 to install CM7 you can do it on .58 too but i am sure if you are looking for fully functional os with stock features too then you gonna dislike CM.And i m saying this cause i have tested CM on .42 HU and .58 Global ...
Fifth Gapps are not included in CM due to copyright issues so you have to install them separately ...
You can find it on official cyanogen Mod site or other forums too
Sixth
Your steps are correct but after backup you have to add one step thats "Wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition" through ClockWorkMode recovery options
and after that install FXP ROM
Backup is not necessary its optional unless you want to restore your previous ROM as you left it before flashing CM.
You can make Nandroid backup using Clockworkmode recovery option "backup and restore" and the backups can be found on SD card in SDCARD/clockworkmode folder. And can be used to restore your previous ROM anytime.
Lastly i have tested hell out of each and every rom and finally i switched to stock one .58 ROM not .62 as its not global one.
And i have installed Mini Mode update to get widget panel in status bar and reboot option in power menu.
Used system app remover and titanuim backup to remove and freeze unwanted apps.
And also i have used all launcher and switched to stock one and the Xperia Arc launcher for stability and performance.
And Finally ... you have any querries ? comment back i will answer you and DO NOT Hesitate to Hit THANKS button if you are satisfied with my answer and do care for my time that i spent to answer your question to get your problems solved.
NOTE : I am not against any ROM or any developer and please note if stock ROM is for ******* then every handset is made for *******

[Q] Stock 2.1 rom with dsp and Ultra Brightness

Is it possible to add dsp and Ultra Brightness to stock 2.1 rom?
Sorry but dsp cannot be added to the stock 2.1 rom, as for ultra brightness i dont know for sure but i think that its also not possible.
The stock sony ericsson rom is very limited and its not very nice once you've tried using friends who have the xperia mini pro(sk17i), gingerbread rom is much easier to use and more organized than eclair rom
Or maybe if you are willing than you can try out custom roms such as GingerDX, Flame.GDX ICS, FroyoBread, MiniCM7Pro, Sony Style, etc.
If you wanna get more crazy than you can check out MiniCM7, PrimeHD, FireDroid 2.1, etc
P.S.-If you dont know about rooting, flashing roms, bootloader, custom kernel etc than you better get started on studying it and sorry i cnt find a proper link to the guide for all this and i gotta go somewhere so i'm in a bit of a hurry
I have MiniCM7-2.2.0 because i need these two things but i prefer to have original rom with timescape with every launcher i want, better camera, better battery FOR ME etc.
unfortunately if it is not possible i will stay with a custom rom
