Generic Cypress CY8CTMA300 driver - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

Hi,
I have found a driver for our digitizer, on the Cypress webpage, and I think it is the full 10 finger driver.
There is a .c and a .h file. What are they, and what should we do to make it working?
I upload them in attachments.

nice find.but you have to wait for more devs to get interested in NEO

Well that is a very nice find but I don't think it's very useful yet, until someone finds a use for it, keep the files handy though just incase they are inaccessible when the time comes to having a use for them

[Q] HEEEEEELP !!! Please

Hello
I'd like to know where is located the digitizer's firmware and in wich ROM it is.
Thanks in advance and sorry for bad english....:
Nobody?? Please answer it's very important for me ... :|
all i know about digitizer is it converts and analog signal into a digital signal.
I know English isn't your primary language but if you could give more detail we might be able to help
I am an Xperia X8 user and I have a synaptic digitizer, the same as the Legend's digitizer.
Maybe you know that there are some X8 with a cypress digitizer wich can handle the real dual touch. AnDyX has already made a module for cypress owners wich can make the real dualtouch possible. For synaptic owners, it's another story : doixanh has made a module wich includes the semi-dualtouch (it's called "x8gesture"). It's like a "fake" dualtouch.
Most of x8 owners have a synaptic digitizer and they'd be very happy to get the realdualtouch on their smartphone. So we made some noise and finally some experts and some devs told us that they need the Legend's digitizer's firmware to make something.

Not a lot of info in your op.
Thanks!

Wow, thats pretty cool. I am gonna check it out!
I was waiting for something like this!! Yayyyy
Great!
Though I feel I become reliant on these tools too much... sometimes I do it all manually just to refresh the skills.
I Totally Agree With Doing Things Manual At Times. I Made This More For The New Guys Who Aren't Really Sure About All That Code. They Can Use This To Be Rest Assured Things Will Go Well. While Still Able To Learn About Android.
Figures after I spend 8 hours figuring out how to do everything this comes out. Nice work! It was kinda cool learning how to use the cmd code though.
I'm Sorry Guys I Missed Something In The Code And It Opened An Extra Browser Window. Download Link Has Been Updated, Just Unzip And Replace The Files.
Well this just made my decision real easy... Thank you so much

As far as I'm concerned a necessity as these tools aren't always going to be available for every phone you get.

Agreed. The hardest part was understanding what the directions ment not knowing anything about using adb. I had some personal help from a few members which helped me understand but it made it that much more worth it knowing I kind of figured it out on my own. Thanks again to the people who helped me and those that have written threads with directions!
Nice tool you've put together. I'll try it out after work. It sounds dope.
I cant get past the first step.
I type "Unlock"
Then it says type the name of your browser ie: Chrome-Unlock
So I type "Chrome-Unlock"
and it just repeats itself.
Any help?

Same here. Will keep messing around with it a bit.
Now I can go into the next step, option2, which seems to be somewhat of a repeat option 1. Thinking maybe option one kicks off the process of the htcdev and then option 2 is when business begins since it wants the device hooked up and ready for action. Will hold off for verification just to be sure.
I appreciate the work OP.
I Am So Sorry There's So Much Code I've Been Using Multiple Windows And Zipped Up The Wrong One. I Added A Zip With The 'exe' To Just Extract And Replace With The New Code. Keep Me Informed If Things Go Wrong. This Issue Was Just The '-' In All Three Names. Case Sensitive Sucks. Again I Apologize This Is My First Program Using MSDOS Code. Not Bad For 1 Week Of Studying.
No worries... updates mean you are actively working to make it better.
The 22Mb File Has Been Updated Was Missing 2 Files.
When I open the tool it says... "Make sure you have placed the files in the correct place"
What is this referring too?

How can be possible to other devices to overcome this barrier? galaxy S, Desire, Defy...their all overcome and make the camcoder fix.

One of the dependencies used in video-recording is only released for newer chipsets by Qualcomm. Using the petition mentioned in the op here we are asking them to compile it for our Armv6 instruction set too, so we can have proper video-recording too.
They have done it with the Adreno-libs for our graphics-chip after a similar petition, so these things do work

camera manufacturer

I know the viewsonic g tablet has a 1.3mp camera but anyone know the manufacturer of it? Is there a pic that can show some identifiable markings on there? There can't be that many manufacturers of these little guys.

Here's some pics I took of mine awhile back. Hope this helps you on your quest.

Thanks for the pics. In the link below, there are some references about the camera. Specifically the manufacturer and the model number with a nice reference page.
http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/29039-rom-13-beta-ics-40x-team-drh-update-070212/page__st__2720
Another link was for linux kernels with a specific line in mind.
m5602 - ov9650: Add CIF mode (commit), add QVGA mode for the ov9650 sensor (commit)
http://kernelnewbies.org/Linux_2_6_29
Another link that came up is the one below and a file named s3c2440camera-r5.tar.gz which I don't know what to do. It has been maybe a decade since I have last compiled a kernel and that was for x86. Coding/compiling isn't my strong point so I'm staring at a file that I don't know what to do. It would be nice if I could insmod a module in and the camera would magically work but that just isn't the case.

haha dream on about the insmod. We have the proper drivers for the gtab camera. We are missing the interface between these drivers and the hardware. This is the part that NVIDIA has kept closed source.

if just someone would port the Note2 Keyboard for CM...

Hi
I'm not a mobile dev, but could someone port the Note2 Keyboard for CM / Android 4.2 ?
I understood there is a need of the touchwiz framework, but maybe it would be possible to analyze ("revert engineering" to get the framework functions and calls) and embed it to this keyboard ?
Maybe it would be possible to use the spen handwriting recognition !
Thanks
Nico

I was having a look at the same matter and I don't think it would be impossible. I found a flashable zip to port the note 2 kb to sgs3 and I have seen a number of libraries that need to be replaced. Maybe some work with the smali code and a number of symlinks could make it work, but I have limited skills and no spare time, but I've found, and that's why I'm writing this post, a fairly good replacement for handwriting. That is writepad which is sadly paid and is good enough for my daily use. I write in italian and it is not as accurate as the original keyboard, but it is usable, let's say it is the 90% usable in comparison to the samsung's one.

Hi huys; as I do not have much time to wipe/restore apps, I forgot the idea to make it myself.
Indeed, I'll keep aware on what are the updates on this thread.
Good luck guys (& girls ?) !
