Mugen 3600mah is available now - Motorola Photon 4G

Just wanted to point out that Mugen extended battery 3600mah is now available on Mugen store online

Their site is atrocious. Provide a link maybe?

thanks! I was easily able to find searching google. Maybe Romanian google .ro is down. Lol

Nice one.
But no, I wasn't using google at all, I was just browsing their site at-a-glance. Used to seeing tidy/user friendly sites in general for products (at least based on phone model). I only trust a product as much as I trust the website that is presented on.

Here is the link, but you're all on crack if your paying $100 for a battery.

Ah thank you. But no I'm not paying that much for a battery. Especially since I've been using the phone for barely a week now.
Also, since it replaces the back cover of the phone I'm a little bit skeptical. I'd rather just buy a spare from motorola when the prices drop (couple of months from now?)

Photon Battery
3500 mah batteries and covers have surfaced on ebay. I've order one, hopefully it will be OK. I searched on "Photon battery".

Dude saw that 3500 extended battery on e bay....can you take pictures of it after you get it? I want to see how much bigger the phone is after you attach it.

Honestly I would go for something just a little higher in the mAh department than stock without having to add a ginormous back plate.

Agreed.

Seidio has their extended life battery available, but I think it's like $80 as well. Has anyone confirmed or denied if the Atrix battery works with the Photon? Since I heard some place it was 1900 mah.

atrix doesnt work but the driod 3 battery does

id be interested to see what kinda quality the cover is. the seidio one i had on my evo was too fast and easy break. after a few battery pulls from my flashing needs, that dang cover had snapped tabs.
The photon has one heck of a grip on the battery cover and it would be hard for me to swap that out for a extended battery one that is week and not fitting as good as stock.
I vote to have an extra battery in the briefcase or a little solar charger unit that holds charge if you plan to be away form a wall plug for extended times.
I get over 20 hours with my stock battery, rarely is there not a charger around me. and if i dont have a charger around for that long of time, i normally have my phone off bc i dont want to hear from the world then (hunting, fishing, on the lake)

Do we know the specs on tge Droid 3 battery?

I also have the seidio extended battery for my evo 4g for about six months now
very good battery that gets my evo through two days with no problems, the battery cover has never been an issue for me you just have to be careful and not apply too much force. Fit quite well on my evo.

when you consider that a 1650 mah battery from motorola costs 49 dollars a quality extended battery with 3600 mah isnt all that expensive. These batteries provide freedom from carrying chargers and extra batteries around. Mugen makes high quality extended batteries and give you the power you pay for which is more than can be said for cheapo chinese batteries on ebay, some of which dont even provide the power they advertise. You get what you pay for.
---------- Post added at 04:04 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:55 AM ----------
Both Mugen and Seidio Extended batteries are a great buy. They free you from carrying a charger around or extra oem batteries and having to worry about charging them throughout the day.
The motorola photon battery costs 49 bucks, dont expect the price to go down.
At 3600mah and 3500 mah respectively, these extended batteries will last you two full days without charging with heavy phone use, texting and some web browsing.
While these batteries do ad some bulk to your phone I have found them to be very handy. Having used batteries from both companies on my Evo and other phones, the added bulk is not a problem at all and actually makes it easier to handle the phones. The only disadvantage is that you will not be able to use cases on your phone. That problem is easily solved by buying a pouch with a beltclip and store your phone in that. With my evo I use a belt clip pouch from best buy.....24 bucks. Seidio usually makes extended cases that will fit phones using their extended batteries.

[Q] Can Photon 4G use BF6x/BH6x?

Photon 4G uses battery type HF5X with 1700mah capacity, I wonder if Photon 4G can use BF6x/BH6x which has 1880mah capacity, anybody tried?
Nope. That would be too simple. The battery edge is keyed differently and the contacts are different.

But if this battery is good for atrix and photon, why wouldn't any other like this 1930 mAh one?
I've heard that the BF5X (1500mah) will work.

I just received a bf6x battery and it does not fit in my phone....2 corners need to be a little smaller.

I think this is the same battery on I bought on eBay. It fits and works but is several mm thicker and the back will not go on the 855 phone. Battery says for MOT822/BF6X 1950mAh
I bought 2 BF6X with a charger on ebay, blindly taking the seller's word that it was the correct match. Obviously it's not the correct match, but it actually fits in my phone and works ok so far. It was a tight fit to snap in the top edge of the battery into the phone, and the part of the back cover (right above the kickstand) sticks out 1-2 mm. But if it gives me bettery battery life and doesn't set my phone on fire, I'll probably stick with it.
I bought them as well but it causes to much pressure on the screen. Don't matter where I touch I get a pressure spot in the lower center of screen.

My seller gave me a refund without a problem and did not want the batteries or charger back. The charger works with the proper batteries. I gave him a positive feedback.
photon battery
the photons battery is 3.8 volts not 3.7 volts
in other news seidio's extended battery is now available for purchase, 3500mah of goodness, lasts all day for even a power user and then some, most will get two or more days of a 3500mah battery, that is the case with my evo4g and its seidio extended battery
buying batteries on ebay is risky business, lots of counterfeits and lots of poor quality batteries that can ruin your devices, buyers beware!!

Polymer battery for Evo 3D

Hello Guys
when i was surfing on Ebay i came to know that a polymer battery for our Evo 3D, as in the link below
http://orders.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ImportHubViewItem&itemid=270829458051
so guys is this worth for money and will give a better performance than a standard Li-ion battery?
please Advise me
Thanks in Advance
Currently I am using a 2000mAh Li-ion brought from Ebay, fits without extented back door(installed today on my EVO 3D)
I will update its performance soon
below i have attached the images of that 2000mAh battery(Li-ion)
cost: $25 includes shipping
That is a Seidio battery. The pT brand you see on the packaging is what all the items that they make for Best Buy is branded. There is absolutely no difference in the cases/batteries that say Seidio or pT. I'm not positive, but i think that battery is cheaper from either Best Buy or Seidio. I believe that's how much their 4000mah battery is, or close to it. You can check either websites and find the price though. Personally I'd rather buy from Best But instead of eBay. 30 day, no questions asked, return policy. You're not gonna get that with eBay, and even if you do it won't be as easy as Best Buy would be.... just my thoughts...

Oh, didn't see the pics of the other batteries earlier. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that Galilio battery is more like a 1200-1400mah battery. I have 4 in my desk at home, 2 have never been used. The best batteries that fit under the stock door are Anker and Chichitec. Both are rated at 1900mah and definitely outlast the stock battery. They are identical in performance and are shipped from California. I have the Anker brand myself. You can get 2 batteries and an external charger for under $30 shipped from eBay. If searching for Anker, search "Sensation Anker battery". Sensation and Evo 3D use the same battery, not sure why Anker doesn't outset them for the 3D also. If you look there are a few threads on these batteries with nothing but good reviews and everyone says they outlast stock. Good luck, and sorry about your Galilio purchase, but there aren't bad to put back for emergency situations

There is no difference in performance between Lithium Ion and Lithium Polymer. The advantages of Li-ion polymer over the lithium-ion design include potentially lower cost of manufacture, adaptability to a wide variety of packaging shapes, reliability, and ruggedness. They can also be dangerous. When punctured, Li-Po batteries react quickly by smoking and causing large fires.

Lol, they are fine for back ups, would rather trash a crappy battery than my charger cable, fits in the pocket better too
But for how cheap they are they are worth it, I got 3 galilio batteries as pictured above for 14.99 free shipping...
Even at a total of 2600-2800mah total that should outlast the stock battery np, I bought them knowing what they were with no issue, cheap batteries for a cheap price, but they work

Very true! Like I said, my Galilio batteries stay in my desk at home most of the time. Although, I do use them for emergency situations. Today is a perfect example. I left home in Georgia, Friday evening, to come down to Jacksonville Florida for the Bulldogs vs Gators game. Left my hotel early this morning to tailgate before the game and just got back to the hotel a few minutes ago. I was using my phone very very heavily for photos, videos, internet, games, calls, texts, basically everything. I carried my Galilio batteries in my pocket today just in case I used up my Anker batteries and stock HTC battery. I didn't have to use them, but it was nice to be able to do what ever I wanted with my phone today with out having to worry about conserving battery life. The Galilio batteries definitely served their purpose today!!!!

went to the real mugen power website, checked on the extended battery, it is out of stock, you can order but wont receive until november
ordered my seidio extended battery for the photon 4g it will arrive tomorrow. there are a few counterfeit mugen websites on the web so be careful, mugen power batteries are quite good.
as for cheapo chinese batteries you get what you pay for, many chinese batteries are labeled with exaggerated claims as to their mah rating, several of these batteries have been found to be no larger than the standard ones containing weights to make them feel authentic, never trust chinese knockoff batteries, some will also damage your device and some have been known to catch fire, saving a few bucks on a cheap chinese battery that saves you a few bucks today and ends up costing you your device.......suddenly not soo cheap anymore you know the old saying....you get what you pay for
When I first saw this post, I was all over it until I saw the extended door. I do not want any battery (or accessory for that matter) that adds size or weight to the device. With that said, for my and other members knowledge, will it fit in car dock?

I find extended batteries dont add that much bulk and actually make the evo and now my photon easier to handle, most people who try an extended battery for a week tend to keep them and love them, you'll just have to find a diffferent case to carry your phone in, easily solved at best buy or other stores that sell generic cell phone cases for phones with larger screens. As noted before, this battery is extremely light compared to the evo's extended battery, I was surprised really. As for a car dock? not sure if the extended would work or not, but you could always use the regular battery for that purpose and swap out the extended when not using in the car dock. These batteries WILL get you through a day, people tend to complain about the bulk havent tried one and lets face it, your carrying extra **** now ..........another standard battery or a charger and charging it up throughout the day or in the car, extended batteries free you from that burden. if you dont like it you have 30 days to return it if you buy it from seidio, best buy also sells seidio products so the battery may show up their, the retail packaging at best buy does not bear the seidio name but they carry the seidio extended battery and several of their cases, very fancy packaging, certainly not rocketfish lol.

that battery on ebay is a chinese knockoff, I wouldnt trust it, also look at the back cover, the speaker grill looks like it will obscure sound, I highly recommend the seidio extended battery for the business man who needs extra power, ebay batteries seldom live up to their claims, I have taken some apart to find that they have no more cells or fewer cells and power than a standard battery, some of these can also damage your phone, seidios battery is only 69 dollars, thats twenty bucks more than a genuine standard motorola battery and you get 3500 mah instead of 1600. when it comes to after market batteries I only trust mugen power and seidio ( beware of counterfeit sites imitating mugenpower) the seidio extended fits the phone perfectly, much better speaker grill, had to turn my volume down, mugeenpower batteries are generally good with fit and finish as well. at the official mugen power batteries site you will find that these batteries are currently not in stock, only the counterfeit sites have them "in stock" so heads up if you go with mugen, the official site says you can order but will not be shipped intil november 4th.
The Battery is on its way , I'll buy a mugen itself as u have suggested, I wont use this ebay battery then .,

Just got my 3600 Mugen Power extended battery last night. Came 100% charged out of the box. I love this thing and can tell it is quality built. Phone actually feels better in the hand with it as opposed to with stock battery & cover. I'm running CM9 Alpha ICS (not so great with battery consumption) but my phone lasted 12 hours with heavy use. Still need to break it in too (instructions said 4 to 5 100% to 0% runs)!
Also got my battery indicator to calibrate with it as well...
Here is the trick: You must charge the extended battery to 100%, power off device, boot into recovery and then wipe battery stats and reboot phone. Leave the phone on until the battery drains totally dead and the phone shuts off automatically because of it. After this charge the phone back to 100% without removing it from the charger (took 4 hours for me) and enjoy, you're now calibrated to the extended battery.
Nice I just got the trexcell one off Amazon. Reviews were good. If it is crap then at least it was cheap lol. I over night it. Should be here tomorrow

You said it actually feels better in hand, I'm sure the added weight has to do with that. What about pocket size though? Is it a pain to get in and out of a pair of jeans? Just flashed CM 7.2 and I'm doing the whole calibrate thing. I hope what you detailed works, good thing I've got all day to play with it and run it down from 100% to 0 before I have to go out with it tomorrow.

Generic chinese batteries never provide their rated mah, are made from poor quality materials, can catch fire and can damage your device. Also if you look at that battery cover the speaker would be impeded by it as it does not accommodate the speaker appropriately
feel free to waste your money and risk your device though.

Yeah, There is probably three of four other threads in the accessories section full of people that have bought the Chinese batteries with horrible results.

Whatever man, I just posted it for the community. Actually I bought 1 for my old epic and it lasted me 1 solid year for 15 bucks. I'm not saying its the best battery, but for people who don't want to pay 69.99 for a battery with a ****ty seido label on it, its an alternative!

Results vary, u can't compare individual results. Each person with a photon uses them differently. Example, I use my phone all day long. There is no battery for me, But maybe the next Guy needs close to double the life of a stock battery, without the price. It was just a post to the community for the people who don't intend on using the extended battery as a primary battery.

Just curious, where do you think the Moto batteries are made? Hand-made and individually tested in a lab on Palo Alto? I don't think so. How many factories do you think make these specialty batteries? Chances are they all come from the same place, Moto label or not.
I bought two generic 1750mah batteries on eBay for $12 total and they last as long at the Moto battery supplied with the phone. Not a single fire.
Stop busting people that are trying to offer help to the community. If you have personal experience then offer it. If not then give it a rest.
I'll have to give that Motorola number a call.. I certainly wouldn't mind a bigger OEM battery for free
Let me know if they give you a larger mah one or not.

If you wanna ruin your phone with a generic chinese battery feel free, but people deserve to know the truth about those no name batteries at dirt cheap prices, motorolas oem battery contains japanese cells cheap chinese batteries do not, for your information I was sharing personal experience with those cheap ass knockoff batteries. It is well known across the web that those batteries do not live up to their mah rating. With such disparity between the prices of these ebay batteries and genuine oem's or high end extendeds smart consumers have to wonder why, there are a plethora of bad reviews for these batteries. I say again, BUYER BEWARE.
Most Sprint stores will just give you an extra battery if you ask for it. I carry 2 extra OEM batteries with me. it takes like 5 secs to replace the battery and you are good to go.
A brick really???

Great idea, but i'm not too keen on carrying around a brick in my pocket. I just called motorola and "complained" that my battery life wasn't what it should be. they sent me a 1700mAh battery free of charge.

I have this battery, its hardly a brick, keep the phone in my shirt pocket with that soo called brick all day long. No problems.
you would rather not carry a brick... just prefer to carry extra battery and a charger in your pocket.
those weigh more than my extended battery.

MUGEN 2650 mAh, around $45.00 off eBay. But for another $45.00 more, you can have the MUGEN 5400 mAh battery and back cover.
I Have 2 Anker batteries 2700 mah and a charger off of Amazon for $22 dollars and they work great just as good as OEM battery.

Anker 2700mah I found to be a bit better than stock. Probably because my stock battery was put through so much damn charging for 6 months the fresh anker battery seems better
Either way it's only 10 bucks, best deal for sure. :good:

So is Anker. Have used them for many phones and have nothing but the best to say. Mugen may be good but it is way overpriced.
I got a 3500mah battery off eBay for like 25 bucks from E-cell, a quality Japanese company. Its pretty decent, last all day under moderate to heavy use. I recommend, expecially for cost,
Nothing that fits under the stock cover will last any longer than the stock unit. All of those claims of higher ratings are all smoke and mirrors...
If you want something that last longer get the Mugen 5400mah with cover. I've never looked back and I never have to worry about battery life anymore.

I have this battery, my only problem is nobody makes a case for it. I bought the ones that's made for the hyperion international version, with a little massaging, it fits but the power and volume rocker are hard to operate. If and when you can find a case that fits, would you kindly post or PM me where to buy it from. Thanks.

Nothing I have found. But I understand where your coming from. I can no longer use it in the Car Dock, I had to use a universal dock.
But unfortunately I have many aftermarket batteries that are the stock size and they all claim to be something they are not. So you have a few options...
1. Use a large battery and deal with the downsides.
2. Live with the smallish battery life.
3. Get a new phone.
I am planning on getting the Note 2 and even though it comes with a larger battery I will probably still buy a larger battery for it if one becomes available as I have realized that having my phones last for 2-3 days has become such a huge asset that it outweighs the downsides. Its actually quite liberating not having to always worry where I'm going to charge my phone. 16 planes rides, 4 hour bus rides, tons of heavy GPS/Map use. I never worry anymore...
I think Samsung (and others) really needs to start making the phones thicker instead of thinner and putting larger batteries in them. I would gladly buy something like a Galaxy Note that is say 50% thicker with a huge battery, vs having to go aftermarket and getting a 100% thicker phone. This obsession with thin phones is for cosmetic reasons and is something I would normally say happens with the Apple crowd as they tend to buy phones for how it makes them look, not necessarily for what the phone does. No offense to any Apple folks, but you know what i'm talking about. If you have a small phone, ok sure thin might be an advantage. But what the heck is the point of making a 5+ inch phone thin as can be?
Excellent points. Thanks!
I have a nice case, but only allows for a standard battery...

I just had the stupidest argument just a few hours earlier about this very thing. My Note is pretty much a computer I carry on my belt. If I could just get rid of the 450 minutes and get, say, 100 minutes and put the balance towards a higher data plan, I'd be better off. I guess it just depends on how you use your phone. Mine is a life line, but not to call anyone. If otterbox made a case to fit a bigger battery, I'd rock it all; my wife gets all shame-faced with me when I use my phone because she says it's like I'm holding a wall up to my face..

Is this the one you guys are referring to?
Can you post screen time with this?
http://www.amazon.com/3500mAh-Capacity-Business-Battery-Samsung/dp/B008CYPL6Y
Delivery time is a whopping 18-26 days, not sure if I should just get this instead:
http://www.amazon.com/Laza-Extended...2484040&sr=1-6&keywords=extended+battery+i717
Your first link is for the international version and wont fit an AT&T note. It also is not 3500mah, those are fake claims, its the same as the stock battery.
Your second link will actually give you more battery capacity. Around 5 hours of screen on time.

6 hrs. screen on for me consistently. It effective doubled my battery life, which makes sense, because it is essentially 2 cells sandwiched. See my comment in the thread about the laza for a bit of a review.

Yeah I have heard about some of those extended batteries being two stock batteries fitted together. Has anybody tried the AceSoft 5600mAh Extended life battery w Hard Back Cover Door?

With the exception of branding, it looks like the laza. 5600mah is doubtful. Seriously, all the extended batteries look to be to stock battery clones sandwiched, and since all the aftermarket batteries are highly unlikely to match OEM capacity per cell, 5ah is the best we can reasonably expect.

I would agree, I have two sets of those from another manufacture and they are not 5600mah, I get about an hour less screen on time compared to my Mugen 5400mah, and those batteries are slightly thinner than the Mugen, so I would put then at 4600mah or so...
