Oh sorry, din notice! what? only internet? rest everything is blank?? i did it, should i reboot and see after 10 mins? or is it instant? thank you so much btw!

okay it still din work! is there a problem with the latest build?

I have the latest build and the internet settings from sony erricson (Settings->Sony Erricson->Internet Settings, works with other providers for me (have tested this) so I think it is all working, does nothing happen when you try to download the internet settings on your neo? it should automatically connect the new settings with this menu. hope that helps any-way. let us know what happens and will see if we can get the manual settings if this doesn't help.

Nothing happens, i tried reset defaults, i tried copying the the entries too! still does not conncet! is it a problem with idea? i can change my provider, i was thinking of that anyway! which one works with this phone? which is tested i mean! thank you for your reply!

I don't know about your Cellphone Network Provider but over here we can send them an SMS with a certain code to a certain number and then automatically send the correct settings as a reply...perhaps check if your provider has such a facility?

So have you tried the settings download though? did anything happen when you tried this option? rather then editing the entries or resetting to defaults?
Most providers do have the sms code option for internet settings too or you can go into the shop and get someone to help you with your internet settings as well.
Good luck either way.

O2 Settings

Hi all,
Just got my S740, which I have to admit is surprisingly good.
My problem getting O2 settings to work.
Is there a .cab?
Tried manual setting but, I am crap at it and always have this initial problem.
Tried the O2 icon in settings, clicked get settings. error 'contact O2 for your settings'.
Anyone please help?
Thanks in anticipation.
SIM card up to date?
Mate is your SIM card up to date? 64k?
Operator services sometime need to interact via STK etc.
Just a thought...
Hi SIM is only 4 weeks old had issues with the settings on my ignito, so O2 sent me a new one.
Any ideas?
so do you miss all settings ?
Or just a bunch...
What do you need ?
APN for internet access, SMS message service number
i.e whats not working for you.....?
Let me know and I will try and find out.
Hi and thanks for your reply.
Everything is working apart from internet and MMS.
Thanks
Then you need your APN details.
Internet access and MMS are both depending on your GPRS settings.
Make sure you get the correct APN adress in your phone.
According to the O2 web, these settings are the correct ones for GPRS.
GPRS access settings
APN: mobile.o2.co.uk
Primary DNS: 193.113.200.200
Secondary: DNS 193.113.200.201
Username: username
Password: password
You might want to doublecheck these settings so that they are the correct ones for YOUR tariff - otherwise you might end up paying more than you should.
Regards,
Martin
btw.
You will find the settings were you add the above at:
Start - Settings - Connections - GPRS.
In here you either edit an existing one, or add a new one (via Menu -Add).
Thanks for the info, these settings I have.
I think the problem is that is it trying to connect to work. What should it be?
Thanks again.
not 100% sure
Have a look at:
http://www.filesaveas.com/mms.html
This might help you
Its tricky for me to verify since I am on a Swedish network.
If you want to connect to the internet set connection to "The Internet".

SMART Communications

hey xda-dev users, i need help on APN. I got myself a brown hero. pretty cool device! anyway, i surf the net frequently on my phone. the thing is, not every place i go has a wireless access point. hence i need to access through APN's.
I can't figure out how to fill the APN fields right according to my data plan provider, i.e. SMART Communications. can somebody provide with some help. i'd be pleased to see it in this sort of format
APN name: blah blah blah
proxy: blah blah blah
and so on and so forth....
here's my data plan provider's site: http://smart.com.ph/
Name: Smart Internet
APN: internet
proxy: 202.57.96.3, 202.57.96.4
Type: default
Leave everything else blank and it should work.
If this does not work then make the proxy line blank and see if that works.
What are the standard Smart GPRS and MMS settings? - http://smart.com.ph/corporate/support/FAQs/GPRS+and+MMS+settings.htm
If there is something not labelled, leave it blank,...
P.S.... Google, google, google!!!!!

Settings for T-Mobile HTC HD2
Hi guys... need your help... I need an Internet settings for my T-Mobile HTC HD2. My network here in the Philippines is Smart Communications. I dont know where to start in settings it up and how to input the data.

[Q] setup my netw

hi,
i would like to configure the network internet services into my phone. im using the HTC HD2(Sim free). i bought a 3sim card which on Unlimited internet plan. i did call the 3 call centre, unfortunately they can be of help as the phone is 'Non-3' registered phone and did asking me to caotact the HTC itself for configuration. Thought anyone here could help me to configure the network internet into my phone please..
thanks in advance
cheers
That's ridiculous, and I'm sorry to say, it doesn't suprise me when it comes to 3. They're notorious for not giving a monkey's about their customers once they've got them.
3 may not be able to tell you how to configure a phone that they don't sell, and that's a more than fair comment, but they certainly are 100% responsible for giving you the information your phone needs in order to use their network. Ring them back and tell them you need APN settings. This has got nothing to do with HTC.
Either that, or you may find a kind soul on here that is on the same plan as you and can give you their settings off their phone. The only thing they won't be able to give you is the password (if there is one), but it's probably "password" anyway.
Hope you get it sorted mate, but it really is 3's responsibility to give you this info.

yeah.. call HTC???? definitely wont help either. kinda dissapointed though..but wait, the agent did mention me about the APN... he said : three.co.uk(not sure weather its 3.co.uk or three.co.uk). yeah, i remember that.. the reason that didnt remember it because, you know, some call centre, not a english people, i think he's Indian. cant understand his slang.
yeah, i probably wait for someone genius here who had the same plan and same phone with me to sort it out.
cheers mate..

[Q] Troubleshooting mms send/recieve

I have a rooted, stock rom hox+. Everything great aside from an issue sending/receiving mms. It will be working fine for a little while after boot, then randomly stop working. Rebooting fixes issue. When the issue is occurring, there is nothing to let me know until I find out I never got a mms someone sent, or someone never got mine. Texting app (tried several, they all do it, currently go sms as main) says it sent just fine. When someone sends me a mms, I get the 'download' button, but it tries for a second then does nothing. The problem didn't start occurring until after I deleted the stock sms app. This makes me think deleting it caused the issue.
Unless someone thinks it is something else, I want to restore the default sms app to see if that fixes it. I was stupid and didn't back it up when I deleted it. Is there an easy way to restore the stock sms app? I'd rather not do a factory reset if I can avoid it.
Thanks =D
Can you specified which ROM you are using? Also can verify if your APN's are correctly installed?
If you follow this path : Settings -> click on Mobile Data left part -> Access point names -> APN's
Do you have a black screen with only APN'S & Menu on top? If yes, then you need to create an APN to regain your DATA access.
Who's your service provider?
I am using the stock rom, up to date (4.1.1). APN's are installed and look correct. I'm with AT&T.
Thanks for the help

Are you using adblock plus by any chance? I had it enabled and it was blocking all mms messages.

Yes I am, I will look into this and update. Thanks for the suggestion. =D
I seem to be having the same problem, hoping someone can help me out.
I'm running Elegancia 5.2 on AT&T, the APN settings I put in are AT&T HSPA+ (name) and "Phone" (APN). I cannot send SMS messages, not sure about receiving. Thanks in advance.

Found a solution here, though I'm not sure if it's optimal for where I live in NYC.

Finally updating about jtrue's suggestion. Tested to see if any adblock apps were causing the issue. Turns out that isn't it.
If anyone has other suggestions please let me know, this is beginning to get very annoying.
To reiterate: mms will randomly not send/receive. I've done everything I know to troubleshoot it, at this point I'm hoping for helpful suggestions in that direction, or a pointer on how to restore the stock sms app (hoping that will fix it).
Thanks in advance for any help.

[Q] mms issues

I'm new to this and would appreciate some help.
have nothing against Verizon wireless, but times are tough and needed to save some money.
Went with consumer cellular...works great except I can't send or receive picture with a text.
Hope some one out there laughs and knows an easy solution.
Thanks
Russ
You need to edit the apn settings with whatever messaging app you are using so the mms apn settings match the ones your carrier uses and not Verizons.
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Found the apn settings on another site
