Picked up a SGII earlier today - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

Really liking the form factor of this SGII. Very quick, display is the best I have used on a mobile device. My iPhone 4 has a great display but this display is much better. The camera is great! Can't believe how well it does in low light with the flash. Any way, i have been using the SGII all day today and has been great. Time to sell my Nexus S.

I'm getting off this iPhone 4 tomorrow also man. I'm glad your review is positive on the camera quality.

Not surprised you like the display - sAMOLED+ is awesome.
The display of my Infuse is amazing. I'm disappointed AT&T didn't go for 4.5" with the GSII.

Looking at BestBuy Walmart, Staples, Radioshack websites, no ATT S2 available yet but att website. Hope i can see them in store today. Cross fingers

Available now at Amazon Wireless for $150 with 2-day free shipping and $15 Amazon App Store credit. No tax in most states.

Yes Best Buy didn't have the SGII out in the display, but they had them in the case below. Just asked for the GSII and sales guy said they have them.

Out of left field, but...

I just pre-ordered my evo 3d from best buy. I will have to pay the full sticker for it, but as much as I use my evo for its purpose (as a phone) I also get a hours of enjoyment testing roms and other stuff. I'm not sitting around watching "glee". If you want the phone get it. A dodgers game costs $250 after parking, tickets, a dog. A movie night with dinner $100. Xda and roms open 24/7 priceless. Btw if it is $700. Buy out your contact, resign, or tell them you're gonna do it and they will help. I did. Sprint is good. Try verizon or att/t-mobile/europe/asia. The worst.

So have you thought about selling your old evo? and thats quite an expensive dodger game lol.
Yeah, hate to sell it though, have a blackberry 9700 too. Makes a good doorstop. And 2 decent seats at a game with all the other crap is that much, which is sad

T-Mobile has always given me early upgrades for a new subscriber price... Verizon and AT&T on the other hand, I will agree are teh devil!
But since the announcement of this potential merger, and have always wanted an EVO, I'm jumping ship before it has a chance to sink....
If you're buying off contract, it will probably be much cheaper to get it from RadioShack or a Sprint store. BBY usually has extra high outright pricing.
The evo was 450 at sprint, and 599 at bestbuy full price
EOD is evotastic!
Preorder directly from Sprint on the first if you want to buy it off contract, will be much cheaper.

do you know best buy sells their phones for 150 over regular price from anywhere else. Look it up. Evo 4g 450 from sprint best buy 600. epic 4g 500 from sprint 650 from best buy. nexus s 4g 550 from sprint 700 at best buy. Best buy will not price match either because I tried when I bought the nexus s. I went to sprint and bought it for 550. I would def not buy a phone from best buy if you are buying outright cuz their prices are crazy. I asked why the price difference and they said it was because they do not like selling the phone outright and want to sell it with a new contract.

How much is a used galaxy player 5.0 worth?

I might be selling my galaxy player as I really NEED the money. I need a new phone. And some other stuff. Really really just need money right now. So I was wondering how much a used, like new galaxy player 5.0 can be sold for?
I might not sell it if the price isn't right so we'll have to see. I know I was working on an ics kernel but I can't do that right now. I have to much stuff going on. I have school, young marines, and any other side jobs i can find. And on top of that My grandma just got put in the hospital. So let me know if your interested.

It is worth as much as you can get someone to cough up, but most likely about half what you paid for it, if your lucky.

I agree! I recently sold my Samsung Galaxy 4.0 for $100 along with a case - it was in perfect condition. When I bought it, it was nearly $200, so I got just a little over half my original price. With so many new tablets coming out, along with rumored devices, it seems this player loses it value quite quickly. Heck, in just a matter of months, the price for the 4.0 and 5.0 has fluctuated a lot through such sources as Amazon.
Still a great little media player in my opinion, though!
I bought mine for only $135.00
I'd say a "like new" galaxy player 5.0 could easily be sold for £150 (use Google if you want in dollars)

Galaxy Player 5.0's are about $200's in the US for a new one at the store. I got mine for $180 tax included at Micro Center in California.
Id say $160.
In Korea, 16GB SGP 5.0 with decent quality (meaning very little scratch and no corner fractured) is worth around 160,000 WON
which is around $140. I don't know about US
I honestly think 150 bucks is worth it, considering you used it a year yet there's barely damage made

Went to four stores....

No one had a G2 out on display for my friend to play with. I'm trying to convert him from iPhone but every store (2Best Buys, an At&t store, and a RadioShack) did not have a model out on display. It looks as if even the Moto X had more advertising behind it. Surprised me quite a bit that the lack of sales is because of product placement.
I agree 100% Most of the store employees at at&t didn't even know this phone existed when I bought mine.

I'm surprised about the ATT store. Was it an official company store, or some affiliated store. Non company stores are always kind of hit or miss on finding working phones instead of inert display models.

I went to a corporate VZW store on launch day and nothing was out and half the employees didn't even know what it was.
About two weeks later went into a non-corporate store and they had nothing out and knew nothing about the phone.
I went to a Verizon store to check out some assessories and to my surprise they had none on display but a bunch in the back sitting in a basket..

I went in to Verizon (corporate store) on launch day and asked about it. No one knew what it was and said they didn't have it in stock. The associate then went on to recommend me NOT to buy an LG device and how he hated them. But if I were interested in an iPhone or Samsung, then he'd help me. Couldn't believe it! So I left and bought it at another nearby corporate store.

Probably next month. Black Friday
My ATT Corporate store had some on dispay i when I got mine. The Rep also seemed to know a lot about the device as well. She was talking about how cool it is and also talking about some of the features.
They is marketing the G2 really well imo, here in Wisconsin. lot's of commercials
In Sweden there are huge banners and even some TV-commercials (Phone commercials on TV are very rare here)
I was lucky enough to snag one as the stores were running out fast.

They actually do advertise it and the att store here loves the g2 and Verizon reps here waiting for them to finally arrive. I know they are far behind is a non corporate Verizon store and ur in Wisconsin redneck area so most likely the non corporate store Verizon will get it late but they have huge posters out for it thought. Att here has it and the reps really pushing it as the android phone to get.

The AT&T store in Crossgates Mall in Albany, NY had it on display when it first was released and took it off display for for some reason. I think they are still selling it tho. Best Buy also has them in stock but not on display. Just bought one yesterday at BB. Exchanged the Blue HTC One for it. I LOVE this phone. The display is amazing. I've had all the major high end phones this past year and this one is BY FAR the best. Hopefully the development will pick up as more people discover the G2.
I also played with the Note 3 in the AT&T store and the same lag from the S4 is present in the Note 3. It's the God's honest truth. I was debating whether to buy the Note 3 today or the LG G2 yesterday but after seeing that my decision was easy.
In Cincinnati, OH USA...
Best Buy is where I purchased mine...don't remember seeing one on display but during the purchase they said hey, we have a $50.00 coupon...so got it for $149.00. Made me happy. They had zero cases.
Local AT&T store had a working one on display but the sales rep clearly wasn't pushing it. He said you seem to know what you are looking for but asked if I considered the S4...I pulled it out and said that's what I'm getting rid of. Checked 5 AT&T stores for cases and they all had only one...bodyguard (nice case by the way)
Stopped by a large AT&T store in Vermont while traveling looking for a case and the LG hadn't arrived yet for sale!??!
Funny, one AT&T rep commented (in a whisper) that he considers the LG G2 the best android phone they've carried to date.

Amazon Sale on G2s

Amazon has Verizon's G2 on sale for $119 on upgrade, $99 on new line of service.
AT&T price is $150 on new contract and upgrade.
Just a heads up. Looks like a great deal for Verizon customers.

Let's face it, the LG G2 "copied" and improved upon everything from the S4 - which is the least of my worries, as the result is a frantically amazing phone! However, LG could use a few pages from Samsung's marketing strategies. Just like HTC, LG hasn't been pushing aggressively enough worldwide to make its latest flagship wanted/desired by consumers, especially in the US. I really hope history doesn't repeat itself like with the Optimus G. LG has birthed a definite winner this time.

Well, reading that AmazonWireless has lowered the price to $99 certainly p##es me off. I bought the phone last week at Verizon for $199.

If it's only been a week go back or call Verizon. Ask nicely and if they say no, tell them you are returning the phone. I believe you have 14 days to return it without a restocking free. Of course that might be just my business account's deal. $100 is worth a try.

I got mine for $150 about a week and half ago from Amazon. I did a chat on Amazon today with a customer service rep and got them to match the $99 price. They did that even though I am not a new subscriber. I just referenced that price in the chat instead of the $119 for current subs with upgrade pricing.
I also got to keep unlimited data. This was through the Amazon loophole, not the recent Verizon glitch/boost 3rd quarter sales thing.

Note that this is the case for subsidized pricing which is simply the retailer cutting into their margin since the carrier kicks something back for the new contract or re-up. You never see msrp come down like this.
