[Q] Option to Hide .apk After install? - Motorola Photon 4G

(This is my first post on the site)
I want to modify an app so that after installing, it doesn't show (Hidden) in the app section.
I don't have experience in this type of work.
I was fiddling around with root explorer thinking that I could find something that would allow me to make it hidden but, no luck.
I think and I really mean THINK that this type of setting would be in the apk xml?
but again were back to, how to extract that on windows 7?
If anyone can Help or assist me to the right direction It will be appreciated.

Got some views but not one single response, Did I post this in the wrong place?

i was looking into the same issue..Can anybody suggest a way to hide an app from app list once the app is installed

Nemus
The only way I know of to do that is to use another launcher. I would recommend Nemus launcher in Google Play. It has settings to hide apps, plus it's a lot smoother than Craperola's launcher :good:

Oh, I see what you're saying. I'm not sure why you'd need to call another APK, why no code it all in one. On the other hand, I'm no coding pro ;P. Anyway, I would post your question in one of these forums, you can probably get more help.

Exfoliate.apk for Facebook Disappeared?

This app supposedly was the best way to delete all your facebook posts/likes/etc instead of manually doing it.
The app has seriously been disappeared (facebook tinfoil) Gone from playstore and any link to the apk.
Does anyone know why? Does the app still work?
If anyone has it or a link to the actual APK I'd love it.
I've been googling my ass off for 2 hours looking for the APK.
I've never seen an android app that completely disappeared from the entire internet.
Impossible to find it. I challenge anyone to try I give up
its easy to find ( i cant post links new member ) google exfoliateapps one word and will be your first hit the page has a link on the bottom that sends you to a link for playstore and no, the app no longer works ( as far as i can tell )
it looks like either facebook blocked the authorization app where you click to enable it to use your data ( same as any game authorizaion )
or that facebook app just no longer exists
the program opens fine and logs in fine but doesnt get the permission needed to interact with facebook

no the app simply does not exist (as far i can google). the best method (which is sporadic and isn't exactly an exact science) for me is to use imacros which is a firefox addon.
this isn't exactly for an internet noob though. i cant post links but if you google 'how to remove old facebook posts' the 2nd link should be from a site called zdnet. follow the instructions there to use macros to delete your old data. good luck

ok i actually got it to install from a play store called aptoide so yea ^^ that guy was right. however it doesnt have the required permission for removal of old data. if anyone finds a way around this please share the wealth.
try this ..... 4megaupload.com/exfoliate-for-facebook-apk-download.html
Via 4Shared - I have not installed this myself, so use at your own risk
Does this still work for Timeline?
Doesn't work
Another option?
Thx

[Q] Password required to close an app

Good day, i am new programming android and i have a lot of questions, but today i have a singular question that i havent found how to solve it.
i want to know if there is a way to request a pasword every time the user wants to change the app or go to home screen, tha idea is that this app will request a password to allow the user change the app or go to home screen.
i would really appreciate your help in this matter.
Best regards
Try to download any of those app that you can lock apps with password... and block the launcher.
It shoud work...
can I ask why you are doing this?

well, as far as i know (NOT THAT MUCH JEJEJE), those app help you to request a password to launch an app, but what i want is to request a password if you want to close or change of app.
i was thinking in some code to add to my project..
the reason why i am doing this, is because im trying to develop a little program to share with some students, and i dont whant them to quit the app and start to do different activities
thank you very much
Add some logic code inside the OnPause or OnDestroy methods.
Have you tried blocking the launcher?
Are you gonna provide the devices? If not... a app that require a password to quit should require root....

thank you for your answers
Jrcon, that seems to be a good idea, but, where can i find a similar code just to have a better idea?
360porcento, yes i am going to provide the devices, and i dont understand about "root"
i really appreciate your help
Best regards
Rooting is the procedure to enable access yo practically everything an android OS has. Example - system, boot...etc. It installs super user access in the linux system so when u will use ur phone, u will have full access to its systems.
Hop i helped .
Sent from my GT-S5360 using XDA-Developers App.
Hard/soft buttons or on screen? If on screen buttons you can download gmd gestures and hide the navigation bar with a 4 finger custom gesture. That would require root.
Other option would be put a password to close the app... but i think that for this you also need root as you are basically locking all the other functions on the device and a normal app shouldnt be able to do that....

Ok...
I did some testing myself
Download the app " app lock" . Set up a password, lock all the apps but yours and voila
You can also block all system apps, the ability of installing /unistalling stuff, making calls etc... sometimes the will get to the launcher... but they can do nothing from there, you can also have a launcher that can hide all the app by a password... and you can spam the homescreen with your apps shortcut....
You dont learn nothing of programing but is the esiest solution and you dont have root...
Hope it helps

[Q] Server-sided apk apps

Hi guys,
you know how to hack a server-sided apk app? Please tell me, because i'm searching for that for 1 year but never found it.
I know that's the best developer's forum and i hope you don't ignore my question or fooling around.
Thanks.
Oh.. if you know something about making a mod of that apk app tell me please.
(Monster Warlord is the apk i meant)
DISCLAIMER copyright claims are n easy thing!
1. "server sided apk", can't be hacked, at least you have to hack the server itself, depending on what data you want to modify and where the data is computed - on client or host side.
(tried something similar with the ingress apk )
2. to modify an android application you should have programmed one at first - or know about the structure of such an app, for reengineering purpose.
2.1 decompiling:
http://modstorm.co/how-to-decompile-android-app-with-apktool/
2.2 yes this the heavy load, what to do now depends on what app you want to modify and what in the app - up to you!
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Thanks but after i decompilate my apk, what to do? I'm trying to hack a server-sided apk, remember that! Because i don't have reasons to modify a client-sided apk! It really makes no-sense.
UP. Please help me!

It is possible to mod the prises in the apk?
For example, the price of gems es 50usd, and you mod the prise just for 1usd... You are going to pay real money with google play store so that should work?
*facepalm*
No, your missing the point...but lets for the sake of arguement say there was a so file in there with the prices u can mod them all day long an as soon as u connect back to the SERVER...poof all that wasted time..if u dont have physical or atleast a lan line to the server u cant do much on their end.

MIUI 8 - Apps Invisible

MIUI 8 beta 6.7.21 and earlier had a feature called Apps Invisible used to hide apps from home screen . In later beta builds this feature is gone .
I tried to locate the responsable app for this feature in System-Apps but I could not find it.
Anyone knows how this app is named , and where to find it ? Or can anyone post this app to try to use it in other builds ?
Thanks

Just stumbled across your post here and I thought I would add my 2 cents to it. (even tho it is a rather old post)
The App invisible isnt a single app that you can just copy paste. It is integrated in the powerkeeper.apk from miui but disable through Settings.apk.
You could reenable it by modifying the functionindex.xml in the Settings.apk /res/xml.
I am not quite sure why they disable it because it was a rather nice feature but i think it has to do with apps not receiving the proper broadcast when they are hidden.
This is awesome feature, but I don't know why they removed it.
Is there any guidance to modify and bring back this feature in Dev ROM 6.12.29 ?
Thanks

Why full permission is required for MOD apps?

Hi Everyone!
Greeting for the day! I hope you all are doing good.
I am here to ask a question which is bothering me from past few days . I am not any developer or geek, actually. So apology if this question is not relevant. I have been using mod apks from last few month but now I am realizing that all the apps requires almost full access or say permissions to your cell phone. So my question is "Why full permission is required for MOD apps?".
I mean is it really required to give full permission while creating a mod version or the developers unnecessary ask for it? So may be then can play with the data or other things when they are bored. :cyclops:
I used to download those apks from ONHAX or OSMDROID because they seemed better than any other place but now it's not same for me. I used to give full access but now I can n't. Could you please share your view and let me know if I can trust these websites or the full permissions?
I mean what about the application shared on XDA as well? Can we trust them? I know mostly people wants to help and seriously they do whatever they can, but still I have some confusion about this. Hence this thread.
Also if no, then is there any alternative way? like install app and then give only some permission manually which might be required for app.
Thank you in advance!
Have a nice day! :good:

Don't know about why they ask full permissions but yes,you can definitely change the permissions. There are many apps available on play store to change permissions but I would prefer advanced permission manager because it is reliable and easy to use.It also doesn't requires root to work,so it is really a nice application

Hi Milkyway3,
Thank you for your view. Indeed we can manage permissions. May be we can give same permission as the original app and hopefully that work.
Let's see what other guys think of this.
