[Q] SE Keyboard in CM7 - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hi,
Is it possible to get Sony Ericssson keyboard to CM7 ROM ?
From xperia mini pro system dump i found textinput-tng.apk i pushed it to /system/app but it doesn't show up in inputs..
Tried to install it...Nothing.

in the current freeXperia sources it is integrated, but not yet working correctly.
The backlight is still off.
In spite to correct layout settings the keyboard acts in a weird way.
I will soon look if there is something new in the mango sources, but freeXperia Team will definetly inform about a working smart keyboard as soon as it works
I spend many hours trying like you do. Unfortuenately without success so far

I have a Htc Magic.....is it possibile to install sonyericsson's keyboard on my phone????

I'm holding off on using CM7 until the stock sony keyboard can be used... as well as the sony camera app as well

It will need to be ported over so the SYM key will work. On stock rom, if you change the input method the SYM key stops working.

Problems with hardware keyboard layout after rom flashing

Hi Guys,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask my question, but please excuse me since I'm new here.
I flashed my AT&Fuze with the following rom ROMeOS2_ENG_21051_1982_290609_RAPHAEL_MANILA. I tried to flash my radio as well, but it wasn't successful, although I tried to flash with Raphael Radio. May be my phone is security locked.
So, the problem is that after the rom flashing, the layout of my keyboard changed. The hardware keyboard of my phone looks like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But now, the software layout is like this:
Is there any way to change the software layout to fit my hardware keyboard? My be through the registry or something else? Thank you in advance for your answers.
It seems that you flashed a Touch Pro ROM into your AT&T Fuze. Don't worry, you can always fix this easily using any keyboard switcher program. Search the forum for it or try 'profuze'. It's easy
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=490290
download the cab, install select fuze. power cycle. done.
u will have to do this every time u flash a touch pro rom. keep the cab handy.
Thanks pal It worked perfectly!

[Q] Using the X10mini Pro as BT-keyboard

I've been thinking about this thing, and tried to search around on the net, but haven't found anything yet.
Do you guys think it's possible to make the mini Pro into a bluetooth keyboard for like media centers and even other phones without HW-keyboards? I know that a BT-keyboard from ebay doesn't cost that much, but when we got a phone with HW-keyboard, touch surface and BT in the first place, why not try to make it possible?
Atleast I would love that.
Just some of my thoughts.
Greets!
I have the same idea but every app i found must install host in PC
the best of this is GRemote !
why people want to use small keyboards??? when bigs are so cheap!! after few hors it gives pain in fingure..!! so plz stop thinkin!!
and we can't use one phone's keyboard for another phone that's for sure!!

How Can I Fix it?

That's a framework thing. I was working on something to remedy that for AOKP, but got a bit distracted so it's all ideas now.

It won't. The stock keyboard uses some really ugly hacks to make it work, most other keyboards don't.
I was Freeze Stock Keyboard app
not work
I was Uninstall Stock Keyboard
not work
GIVE UP!!
T^T
I saw somewhere that in 2.3 OTG Keyboards only work in English.
That on ICS other languages will be supported.
If this is true I don't know... but might the the reason for your problem.
