Fits perfectly without changing the back plate. Made for the i9100 International Galaxy S II and fits our AT&T Version
Fair boost from a 1650.
Will see if it makes much of a real world difference and post back.
--------UPDATE---------
Using the battery I find about the same drain as the stock battery but the kicker is when I plug in the USB cable my phone goes into a boot loops. Sending the batteries back!

Fair boost IF it actually meets its rated capacity. Most cheapo aftermarket batteries don't even come close.
My Infuse 3500 mAh battery is probably closer to around 2500 based on initial testing.

What (eventually) happens to NFC if you don't use an "NFC battery?"

I figure if NFC is not even activated on this phone yet, might as well get the most juice for your phone. We'll reach that hill when we get there. By then they will have one with NFC.

Might short out the NFC controller or damage it in some other way...

My guess would be that the NFC battery has special shielding to keep from interfering with the NFC signal... but who knows?
Or maybe it just handles fast drain better...

Did you read the thread about battery compatibilities? If the battery doesn't have NFC, it will loop when you plug in to recharge. Recharging with a stand alone charger and then using it in the galaxy is fine.

Never saw that thread but I need to frequently plug in my usb.

I got the batteries too. They're great if you travel, or forget to charge your phone often. They do boot-loop. Nothing you can do to stop that.

Can someone tell me if I can charge the stock Samsung battery with this charger?
If so, I can cycle through all 3 batteries by charging it without the USB cable.
It would suck if I have to charge 1 with USB and some with charger... yikes..

Portable chargers for TC

Does anyone know of a portable/emergency charger that would be suitable for use with a TC?
I've seen a few available but none of them seem to be specifically for HTC devices...
Here's a few to give you an idea of what I'm thinking of:

Nice find!
Yeah, wasn't aware that there was an official device on the way. Thanks
Frustratingly, no dimensions are specified (only the weight). Has anyone found this info anywhere?

Judging by the picture (and using the mini usb port as refernce) I'd say its about the same size as the TC.
Not really as small as I'd like, but definately pretty portable
I picked up one of these at Hong Kong airport. I had tried it briefly but thought it didn't work (that was nearly a year ago with a different phone). I tried it this morning with the TC and it works great. I had 2x2600mA NiMH batteries, and my phone was at about 80% charge. The batteries are at indeterminant charge (charged several weeks ago, so partially discharged). I plugged the first one in and took the charge to around 90%. The second battery got it up to 100 % while using the GPS and still has charge. So it looks like it would give me enough power to make calls with one battery and if I take 4 along, I am thinking it could use GPS all day from a flat phone (with some battery swapping). The phone still gained charge while using the GPS.
I imaging that all of the ones that use AA would be similar, so the one above should do the trick. The problem with the one I have is the battery can be pushed slightly and lose the connection (which is presumably why I thought it didn't work initially).
Edit Did a better test. A single 2600 mA AA battery gives about 25% charge.

I'm using the Philips rechargeable battery. It's not too big, not too heavy, it fits in my pockets and can give you up to 30 hrs of additional autonomy.
I use it frequently when riding my motorbike while using the Polaris gps. Up to 10 hours without problem, and I could still partly recharge my phone after.
Otherwhise, it can give up to two full charges, maybe 2 and a half.
Here are the specs (in french sorry).

Model is SCE4420. It's boxed with many plugs to charge other items.

No idea if this battery will work, but it was cheap

I'll let you guys know how it works, hope it doesn't mess anything up. Less than $8 shipped. If it doesn't work, it was worth the $8 to find out.

Keeps doing some sort of battery loop thing when I charge it on the regular wall charger. Fits fine, but loops, anyone know how to fix that or did I waste $7

i had the same issue! its because its not NFC battery. i learned the hard way! Unless you buy a external charger you cant charge it. I bought 2, i use it as a backup and have a dock to charge

Is there a cheap dock anywhere? I mean like $5, I'd love to be able to use this battery but geeze, this should just work.
Wouldn't this work?
http://www.amazon.com/Universal-GT-...NI/ref=sr_1_19?ie=UTF8&qid=1319834464&sr=8-19
yes as long as the battery is the same size as the original it would work. I noticed with the 3500 mah batteries the charging spot wont fit, but that should be fine
Battery is awesome. Been in since 8am and it's right under 50%(I'm a heavy user). I'm going to test this battery back to back with the stock one and show results maybe Monday. Got the charger for the battery, works fine for me.

That's how it works (and has been stated no less than 200 times in the 30 or so threads addressing the issue. You either buy original, or have to charge externally. For me, having to use a dock-charger is utter BS. I don't have the time nor desire to remove the battery from the phone to let it recharge. Carrying multiple batteries is just silly. If you're going to go through that hassle to save a couple bucks cool, or you could just carry a second OEM battery. Guess some people put a different value on things tho.
These looks like the same ones I got from amazon a while ago ($16 for 3 batteries + charger), you can see my complaint here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1298380
The batteries are cheap and very generic, I junked one 2 days afterwards as that one with it charged to 100%, it lasted maybe 6 hours. It also charges in like an hour. The other 2 batteries, i would say that it last about 60% of the OEM, getting about 20 hours from them with about 1.5 hours of screen time. Still, its usable, but I did not find them to be as strong as the OEMs.
I hope you have better luck with yours...

My amaze wont Sleep now that i changed the battery.

Hi eveyone,
I bought this battery from ebay. Got it charged it and put it in my phone.
Now there is an exclamation mark over the battery icon and my phone wont turn the screen off automatically.
What could be causing this?

Anker are good batteries, but have very cheap plastic dividing the 4 contacts for the battery.. when one plastic tab broke off and covered one of the contacts, it showed that icon in the screenshot. My assumption was that it kept the phone from reading battery info.. likely you got a battery that is cheap and doesn't have the ability to give the system info.
Return the battery, or maybe toss it.. and buy yourself the ankers that have been posted about over and over all over these forums. You can get 2 1900mah ankers with external charger for $29.99 shipped- then you'd have a spare.
Have you tried a reboot? If that doesn't fix it then let the battery drain completely and recharge while inside the phone.

G3 Taking 7hrs To Fully Charge

My G3 is at 45% and it says it's gonna take over 7hrs for it to fully charge.
Before anyone ask, yes..i am using the OEM charger and cable that cane with the phone.
I'm on my second G3 and really don't feel like exchanging this one for another one...

Are you using your phone while it's charging? Is it at a high brightness?
When my G3 is charging and I'm using it (redditing, XDA, Clash of Clans, etc.), my charge time is pretty insane as well.

THIS plus if your outlet is weak or not getting enough power it will take forever. I had a surge protector and mine was plugged into the last slot and was taking forever to charge until I checked it with a meter and found the last slot was weak and under powered. Tossed the whole thing out and have had no issues at all.

Yeah i was using it checking email and forums, but still didnt think it would take this long to charge. And in reality it didn't. I mean it took a little long but nowhere near 7hrs to charge. Maybe like 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 hrs to charge...and thats with me using it. So i guess that would be normal in all actuality. The time estimate that the phone displays is just off its mark.

Hmm...this also interesting because i do have the charger plugged into a power strip. When i charge it today, i will plug it directly into a wall socket and see if that makes a difference as well.

I have tried with my Samsung's phone charger (it is also 5V 2A), but charge rate remains same. Maybe my phone's battery going weak. But it's not even 2 year. It will in Nov.
And one thing more, actually it get fixed today after updating device. It charged at normal speed (an app showed 45% per hour), I usually don't use that app but I use it now to check charging status.
But now, it became again that slow. (App showing 12% per hour. 7hrs to full charge)

i don't think is a battery issue. also my battery is two years hold. i suggest you the original xiaomi cherger with a new cable. a more power charger is not compatible with mia3 tecnolgy. maybe the result can be a slow charging. are you on stock or custom rom? if you are on a costum rom probably is a software problem.

same problem here, but seem resolved with last update. I think it was a loading kernel module problem. the charger is good and the battery too. this is a kernel bug
