Noob Unbrick - 7 Mozart General

Hi, maybe there are some post related or solving this problem. But I cant really find the solution.
Here's what happened. I got an unblock but branding HTC 7 Mozart from Telstra Australia.
I was doing the DFT SPL to RSPL then to HSPL.
After that, all went fine. Then I run a rom, guess is a HTC Mozart Taiwan Rom as I wanted a chinese version.
However, it stated to update and reaches 6%. Then, my phone suddenly just restart to bootloader (the red, blue colour page)...thn again and again. The update has stop with error. However, my phone is stuck at the 3 colours page. Even pluck off the battery , and restart it. but just keep going to the bootloader page even i didnt press the volume key nor the camera button.
I was stuck at the bootloader a period.
Then, I started try restart again and again. Even try update back to the Telstra Branding Rom by Ansar. But just cant as it keep saying error.
Then I suddenly restart the phone by pressing volume up and down plus camera button - It directs me to the 'phone with comp' picture - and I connect to my ZUNE, and it starts to restore back.

TyTn update serious problem

Hi guys, I have some experience with rom flashing, and I did it today as usual - flashed HTC 1.35 ... Update stopped at 1%. I tried everything I could to finish the update (It wasn't my first time ). Now, after restart TyTn is flashing with LCD (black & white) & camera led. I can't do anything, even turn it off. Seems like a problem with bootloader. What should I try before i send it for repairing? Do you have any experience with T-Mobile UK? I'm the legal owner of PDA, but I don't have any receipt. Should I contact seller (ebayer) or post it to T-Mob straight away?
Thanks in advance, Jack.
Anyone please?
Check out the wiki for Tytn upgrade problems
I also had this problem, upgrade stopped at 1%....Left it for an hour and no progress. Had to stop update, which then left me at the boot loader screen (tri-color) screen. Tried Hard reset as mentioned above, no luck, still stuck in boot loader, tried to reload rom..got error 262 upgrade error
I had just run the unlocker and set device to super CID, and thought maybe that was my problem, but it wasn't
Luckily the wiki had the answer
Problem 4: Device is stuck in bootloader mode (tri-color screen)
>Disable ActiveSync: connections -- settings -- uncheck "Allow USB Connections"
Remove the battery, put it back in, connect the USB cable, power on the unit (this should allow the USB port to be opened again)
Wait a minute or two, if you get a message that device cannot be recognized just close and ignore it
Open
mtty.exe and select "USB" from the dialog box, then hit Ok.
You should see a white screen, hit enter and you should see a prompt like this: "USB>"
Type set 14 0 (do not copy and paste!!!) and hit enter
Soft reset with stylus
OS ROM and radio version should be back and OS functional, the unit isn't a BRICK anymore!
I had to reload the rom. step 8 did nothing, but return me to bootloader. This time the rom upgrade took about 45 minutes to complete. Weird, but it worked...This is first time in at least 4 rom upgrades with this device and at least 50 other rom upgrades that I ever encountered any issues.
POF...Thanks for the great wiki

Unfortunately, when it hanged on 1% connection was totally lost. Everytime I tried to run rom upgrade/unlocker/spl downgrader is said no connection. Now I don't have bootloader screen, only flashing LCD & camera diode. Any suggestions?
If you can't get the bootloader running then a service center will be the only solution I think.
Has anybody found the solution to this problem, my phone is doing the same thing. Can't get it into bootloader and screen & camera flash just blinks? I tried everything but to no avail.
Hi mate, have you done anything special or it goes bricked "without help"? I I still haven't put it to RMA because there's no T-Mobile in Republic of Ireland and I'm 2 lazy to go to Belfast

It's bricked trying to update it!!! If i could just get it to the bootloader, i can probably revive it but can't do anything. Can't access USB or nothing, I'll guess I'll send it off to a repair center.
Are there any good repair centers in the US???

Strange C550

Three days back,my SPV C550 suddenly hanged.I restart it by removing the battery. After reboot, it now only showing desktop with battery icon, signal strength indicator and the Unlock button(soft key) with Windows Mobile screen logo.I tried Hard reset, which cannot complete succeessfully. It also can't connect to Active Sync.
I also tried to flash the ROM from SD card, but it can't allow update because
my phone doesn't have a SuperCID.i unable to change CID because both SPV-Services and pdocread.exe need Active Sync connetion to work.
I searched all the forums, but didn't find any solution how to change CID without Active Sync.
Please help.
I had a similar problem with mine. The screen is the same as yours only varying with the sim card removed to a sim missing logo. Also mine makes the error/message noise repeatedly for a phew secoonds every half hour or so.
I just gave up in the end and admitted it was a brick
and the saga continues
Well the TyTn has died and I'm still waiting on a refund on a dodge wizard so its time to dig out the old SPVs I have a working Tornado (the right soft key has packed up thats a little annoying) so am trying to revive this hurricane.
I have linked some pictures of what is dose display and as you can see it will load into boot loader but due to not being ably to unlock it I cant flash any of the roms I have found.
I have been trying to fix this now for well bloody ages on and off but a good straight 12 hours just recently and to no avail.
In short I need a way to unlock the phone without active sync. The only way I can think of being able to do this is with some kind of specific software through boot loader
Any ideas?

Trouble unlocking Orange HTC TYTN please help!!!

Hi all, first of all I am no geek, I would like to unlock my HTC TYTN so that I may use other sims while abroad etc. I have read the instructions, downloaded v£a of the Sim Cid unlocker, however every time I run the unlocker my phone shuts down and reboots. I have tried with the phone without sim with none network sim with Orange sim same result phone shutys down and reboots. I have tried waiting till it is connected via active sync after rebooting but it nust keeps rebooting. I have even manually loaded the hard spl and run it on the phone but my phone shuts reboots and the spl has not been updated. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?.
Thanks in advance Jimmy
info on device status tytn on orange
I have kept trying but still the phone keeps rebooting everytime I try to unlock. Device status uis as follows
operator version 24.181.1.612
ROM version 1.81.61.2 WWE
ROM Date 09/20/07
Radio version 1.27.12.29
Protocol version 22.45.88.07W
does any of this indicate I would have a problem using current unlock version 3a?.
Thanks in advance Jimmy
Check to see if the SPL has changed... Go to bootloader - hold power, OK above flywheel and reset with stylus. hold until tri-colour screen comes up. It will tell you your IPL and SPL.
It may already have flashed and that means you can update your rom with more safety.
Do you get any errors when running the pc? For instance [error 260](pretty common).
If that error keeps coming up you need to COMPLETELY remove activesync and then reload. All sync relationships MUST be deleted too. That fixed mine
Cheers...

Did I brick my HD2? In Europe, need phone quickly, help!!!

It all started when I upgraded to the new official TMOUS ROM. I then wanted to install OzROM_5.20_24635 instead since it's TMOUS friendly. But to do so, I needed to install a 2.07-2.12 radio and was not able to do so - the process was stuck at 0%. Now as a result, my phone has been intermittently inoperable. I installed a SimTravel sim card into it (it's unlocked) - it recognized it once, then stopped picking it up completely and would reboot within minutes of powering on. Then I purchased a Lycamobile card and all seemed to be going well, but I just had it crash during a phone call with customer service (for some reason my sent SMSes never make it through, but I can receive them fine) and now it won't start. The symptoms are always the same - seven "buzzes" or vibrations, however you want to call them, and the phone is stuck at the first T-Mobile screen. I've tried hard resets and they have worked to a point - now they don't. How can I restore this thing?
Oh, just got it to reboot by waiting about a minute after taking the battery out... It went through the orange Windows 6.5 screen, then rebooted itself and buzzed seven times again...wtf???
You need to flash a previous offical TMOUS ROM (to get away from the 3.14ROM). This will get your SPL back to 2.10 or 2.08 - instead of the present 3.03.
Then you can use HSPL3 to change the SPL to a 2.XX.HSPL. Follow the rest of the instructions from the OzROM thread.

Where can I get that ROM? Which version do I need?
Also, my problem now is that while I can get the phone to boot, it restarts during the setup process - I can't get to the home screen...how can I flash it in this situation?
Lovely new development. When it doesn't buzz, it shows the numbers (in pink, like the radio version (2.15.something, btw)) and hangs there. Ugh.
Try * HERE *
The phone now freezes midway through the update...the same seven buzzes and nothing...

I read some users reported the same issue, and bad news is that most of them have to bring it to htc repair center (is it a bad news? )

[Q] ROM installation hooked up my phone

OK, so I tried to install nand android on my htc hd2 and firstly I installed hspl 3 on it then as instructions said I updated ROM version to MAGLDR ... And now phone is frozen right after I turn it on it only shows me O2 welcome message. Please don't tell me that it is coz the phone is locked to o2 network because there r so many threads and no one mentioned that u can't install android if the phone is locked or I missed something SO any help pls? I am freaking out that my phone is dead.
RAM 512
ALso:
When I press a red button near the sim card while holding volume down and it shows 3 colour screen and connect it to the pc , pc does make a sound as phone was recognised but it doesnt come up with any windows or anything that I could see that phone is there.. Is there any way I can install old rom or smthing to get my poor phone back, please help me, I am not experienced in this at all and first attempt failed
Put the phone into BootLoader mode. At the bottom of the screen you will see 'Serial'. Now plug it into your computer and the 'Serial' changes to 'USB' - you have made a good connection to the computer. The computer doesn't recognise it as a phone, because the phone firmware has not been booted up, so don't wory about it.
Run the O2 ROM form the computer. One of the conditions is that you have made an ActiveSync connection, just tick the box and proceed.
Once the ROM has flashed, it is advised to do a hard reset, but I have never had a problem not doing it.
Now you are back to the begining.
You are getting a little mixed up between Operator (SIM) Locked and Firmware Locked. They are independant of each other. You can SIM unlock your phone, which means you can use any telecom's SIM card in your phone even though the phone boots up with an O2 logo. You can unlock the firmware (HSPL) so that you can use the stock HTC ROM (not the 3.14 version) or one of the excellant custom ROMs, now the phone won't show any of the O2 stuff but you are still limited to using O2 SIM cards.
Now you have to Run HSPL2 and select the SPL 2.08.HSPL. Since you want to run Android NAND you have to flash a .50 RADIO - try the 2.15.50.14 RADIO.
I would have a real good read * HERE *. And if you want to go ahead, the read it again.
