If you check in the i9100 android dev forum you'll find a couple of threads showing you how to enable it. It's pretty straightforward.

Cool, I'll check that out. Thanks man.
Edit: Actually, care to share one of those threads?

Okay, so question. I just went and got dg's framework-res.apk and put it in place of mine. What kinda bad is gonna become of this? lol

Do some kind of backup. But I suppose nothing too detrimental would happen, as DG's rom is based on stock.

His is, and I do have a backup. Everything is looking good so far, and as an added bonus I got my battery percentage in the stock battery. Whoop whoop! lol

CRT_Animation CWM File
Here you go guys...Anyone who wants the CRT on Stock framework-res I have decompiled made the adjustment and then rebuilt the apk and added it into a CWM flashable file for you. Fully tested on my phone and working like a charm. Just download to your SDcard, boot to recovery and install the downloaded zip and reboot...OH don't forget to enjoy!

Yup it is all about stock as I mentioned in the post...I did it for those that really want the CRT but don't want or need a whole lot of changes to their phones. The ones that want the extensive mods probably already know or are already are doing this stuff in their own ways. Hope you can enjoy though.

From the looks of it yes...GTG looks like he is using the stock stuff too! You can always just flash one of the battery mods that eep2378 built or you can decompile and incorporate a mod in with your CRT mod like I did using the Crysis battery into the build.

It will, because in the framework you flash is its own set of battery icons. To implement CRT and keep your mods, you'd have to make the changes to your framework.

Adding CRT screen off is pretty easy.
First step is to get your framework-res.apk that you want modded.
Code:
adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk C:/<whereeveryouwantit>
Second step is to decompile it. With apktool, there are plenty of tutorials on how to do this.
Third is to go to the folder which apktool created and navigate to /res/values/bools.xml
Fourth is to find the line of code that says:
Code:
<bool name="config_animateScreenLights">[B]true[/B]</bool>
...and change it to false.
Fifth is to recompile the apk, tutorials on how to do this are also online.
You'll end up with a resources.arsc which you just have to add to your framework-res.apk that you wanted to be modded.
Sixth, push it back to your phone
Code:
adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework/
Restart and it should work perfectly.

It is very easy to make your own. First get untermensch KA6 stock Lockscreen mod here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=934340
Copy it first to your desktop then to your internal sdcard. Install the lockscreen mod on your phone.
Next extract the copy on your desktop and locate the file framework-res.-apk. Then go to UOT kitchen here http://circle.glx.nl/ and select the battery mod that you want. Click generate icons, after that just keep clicking "next" until you upload the framework-res.apk. Once it is finished, download it and flash it on top of the lockscreen mod already installed.

**Update** 345 GingerKrad Theme with no Carrier on status bar

Identical to the 318, and 341 builds of my modified framework-res.apk and services.odex
This flashable zip appears to only work for my phone, when others try they get endless boot.
haven't figured out how to make these files non-specific to my device.
I have signed the individual framework-res.apk as well as the zip itself.
If anything you can take apart these files and pretty much cut and paste with 7zip or winrar to a copy of your own framework-res.apk. Good luck with the services.odex though
As always.. Make a backup of your framework-res.apk and services.odex and if possible make a full nandroid backup which supposedly works with this build, but I haven't gotten it to work.
Maybe Jhott can take a look at my files and do what is necessary to fix them for mass consumption considering his flashables work.
thanks and enjoy
:took less then 20 minutes from start to finish.. Wonder if someone wants to help me make a script to automatically do this. hmm Little Streak Kitchen
***Updated****
removed the carrier from the status bar. Check screenshot.
thank you !
i just flash your zip with StreakMod Recovery ...

Thanks. This works on my phone without any problems. I am running same build and have same info as the info in your picture.
So it appears that if i sign the framework-res.apk and then place it in the zip and then sign that.. it is flashable?
very coolzzzz... Glad people are able to flash without issue.
hope you like my battery meter.. seems the clearest to me.
Anyone know where the icons are located in the settings area of the phone? would love to give those some flair.
Thank you.

Thinking of jumping into the rom development. Got any pointers?
I wish I could give you some but the only reason I have been able to give you advice so far is because I wanted to make a theme and failed a lot...you're now venturing into unknown territory! but I'll be happy to test things for you if you ever need someone

Hi,
I can confirm, that your first .zip (with carrier) works fine on my device:
345
2.2.2
GAUSB1A1134500-EU
2.6.32.9-perf
build 15380
I'm using an almost black background and the grey Stock Taskbar was looking terrible. And now, with your black Taskbar it looks brilliant.
Thank you very much!!!
Best regards

SystemUI and Framework-res APKs? (Update: LTE icons found)

These are from Stock framework and systemUI? If so, we can use these in the UOT kitchen for battery mods, etc, right?
Yes these were the stock Apks. As for ur other question I don't want to assume anything.

Yes you can. However, if your framework and systemui apks are different from the ones in the first reply, you'll lose any changes you made (if you made any).

why would this be, cuz i messed around with framework and systemui then used like root explorer to go place it back into /system/app/ it should work as per the changes right?

If someone modified their apks and used the stock ones to add a battery mod, for example, the result would be a completely stock framework with the modified battery. This would cause them to lose any changes they made to the framework (outside of the battery mod) before they replaced it. Same thing applies for the SystemUI and anything else. To avoid all of this, the best choice is always to use apks directly pulled from your device.

CRT-off animation?

Sorry for my english...
I'm looking for CRT(OFF and, if it's possible also ON) animation for my GSII, I've got XXKI4 ROM. I only found CRT-OFF with battery percentage MOD, I only want CRT animation.
Where I can find it?
Thanks
use JKay deluxe settings. just search the forum.
Install JKAY Theme and you will have it.
It will change something else in my phone? I don't want ANY change on my theme...
In that page there is:
CRT Effect ON / OFF
The effect is still not working right, but you can make it look good by screen capture a white image. You can use the Quick Test Menu (*#7353#), select '8. TSP Dot Mode' and take a screenshot to capture a white image.
This 'fix' works until you take a screenshot of something not completely white!

its fully customizable, you can pretty much make it look whatever you like.
who knows, maybe youll even find some new stuff that you'll wanna use (i did )
Ok, I will try it tomorrow... But there's a method to remove this MOD?
well im not sure about uninstalling the theme (never tried it) but you can always make a nand backup. you should do one anyway before flashing a new theme, just in case...

Here you go...a freshly made KK2 framework-res.apk with CRT Off.
Just use root explorer to copy over your existing one found in system/framework folder and job done.
I would recommend keeping a copy of your original framework-res.apk if you want to revert back to the normal screen off
Enjoy

Thanks dude, I've attached the file. There's a ton of users in the NOS 4.2.2 GPE that want this fixed but we can't seem to figure out how. If you get this fixed for us then you're an absolute life saver. Happen to know this stuck around even when flashing to a completely different rom?
Thanks
