I'm not sure, most of launchers can't display 320x480 wallpapers correctly (except TouchWiz launcher)

Ok thanx..

The default size of the wallpaper is 640x480 for ace <-- use this size if u wanna use as wallpaper and then you can uncheck the option "wallpaper scrolling" on your launcher or options

[How-To] Transparent Statusbar CM6 [Without theme chooser]

Hey guys, just discovered something nice on froyo
check this out
Cyanogenmod settings > statusbar bla > check use custom > get alpha to minimum, and you have transparent notification bar
See the first image, and see the second one , you will understand everything
btw, you need to have density 110 to see that alpha bar
i always knew that the alpha setting existed on the bar color screen...(even in 120 resolution, one can see the yellow bar n move it with difficulty)...
but i never knew that it can b completely visualized in 110 resolution view...
thnx for this
nice trick but i have problem i set notification bar to transparent in lock screen is transpared but on launncher pro's home and everywhere is black. what do i have to do for getting transparnt everywhere?
EDIT: i'm on CyaNoComb v 1.2
I dont have those settings i mean i have but cant set them...cant ''click'' on them
Sent from my awesome x10 mini pro (with Cyanogen Froyo CM6 v6.01)
solved ;-p
Have you read the last sentence of the original post? You need to change the screen density to see it.
Or can you see it but just not able to select it?

witch launcher do you use?
i found how to do transparent in Launcher Pro and ADW Launcher
1) Launcher pro
to get it work you need to use live wallpapers othervise it will be just black or grey statusbar
2)Adw launcher EX
got to launcher settings then general behavior/system preferences and uncheck wallpaper hack
ok thx i test it now
edit:
so i have test it :-( its black... i hate black today!!! ;-)
is it the framework.res the mistake???
need to change this?
what theme do you have?
well im using mini pro and current rom is MiniCM6 v6.1
in this rom i have option to use theme via theme choser and im using meizu theme.
and my launcher is ADW.
i dont think that is prob in framework.
Do you have a solution for Go Launcher EX Eyama ?
For Go Launcher EX I find the solution
Go to Preferences -> Advanced Settings and select High quality drawing !

Fair enough lol, make sure you have Overcome ROM flashed, don't think it works on other ROMs yet
Will do.. Are you trying the wallpapers on the stock launcher or adw?

ADW. Stock launcher is fine
must be a setting then.. ill flash overcome then ill have another look
Use multipicture live wallpaper or wizardrii to get a good crop or use full picture.
Sent from xda premium app
Don't know if it's a honeycomb feature or a TW one. Wallpapers are croped and resized in 5 parts (center, left, right, up, down).
It's just weird...
Its a honeycomb thing, because wallpapers have to be able to be in portrait and landscape view.
Sent from xda premium app
Use the APP wallpaper for tablets.. once installed it will appear under live wallpapers.. you can fiddle with it and set an image as background and it does a good job!

+1 for this. Use multipicture live - it's what the majority of people are using to fix this issue and you can set it up so that a double-tap will change your wallpaper to another (of those in the same picture folder).

Use an app called picspeed wallpapers, its a wallpaper downloader that lets you set non scrollable wallpapers by choosing what part of the pic you want
The great thing is that it also works with images that you have stored in your sd card, just go to gallery, choose to set as, in the options should be the picspeed icon, select it and you will be able to set as non scrollable
also theres a custom option to select entire wallpaper without cropping(just what you were looking for)

No it is not. It's Samsungs design feature not to scroll wallpapers.
Try wallpaper wizardrii, and choose "crop landscape". But I'm on Apex launcher so don't know if TW has it.
Again, APEX LAUNCHER HAS WALLPAPER SCROLLING if you use wallpaper wizadrii
It doesn't work ... it seems that is part of the system.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Well I thought so, because it's the same with all new sense phones!

Apex launcher add a new option to select the wallpaper and let you define the galaxy nexus background with scrolling effect.
After installing this launcher this new option persist. The drawback is that there is only one backgroud image... maybe it is possible to add new backgrounds with scrolling effecs if we find where they are placed...

Possible solution for Galaxy S3
I found this application, still beta version :
Scrolling Wallpaper
Andronymus
Description:
This live wallpaper is for devices which do not have the possibility to scroll the wallpaper image with the stock launcher. It is mainly designed for the Galaxy S3.
It is a replacement for the background wallpaper in the home screen.
PD: I can't not post the link because I'm a new user ...
-> the web is -> play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=lwp.superluminar.swallpaper&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImx3cC5zdXBlcmx1bWluYXIuc3dhbGxwYXBlciJd
I cant find a reason why to do this.
I hope developers with custom roms fix this, because samsung sleeps...
Yep ... i agree with you...

A live wallpaper is not a good solution, but is something ...

This is what you have to do.
Put whatever background you want to use on your web server.
Use the stock internet program to navigate to that picture.
Long press on the pic to bring up the menu.
Select "Set as wallpaper"
Finally, the wallpaper is scrollable. And use 1440 x 1280.

[Q] how to fixate wallpaper?

Is there a way to fixate the wallpaper in TW launcher?
I just want to have non moving wallpaper even tho I scroll over the launcher pages.
I tried to change the picture size and all, but the wallpaper still moves along with the pages..

Tw launcher.? I never heard of that..but. almost all the launchers, there should be a setting for scrolling wallpaper. I believe it is in screen settings.
This is my signature....
I would assume he means stock touch wiz launcher..
