lot of people asking me why i'm not releasing miui again?
and also
lot of people asking me how to porting miui?
the answer is : because i'm rebuilding my rom from zero again, and also making a list what file is needed to porting miui (i promised to someone in this forum to release that list, but i'm forget his name ).
and now i present you simple batch script to build your own miui
what u need :
-java installed
-win os
-CM7 from Jerpelea
-MIUI ROM For Nexus one (N1)
how to use it?
-download and extract template.zip to root drive on your pc (ex: d:\template)

-extract all file and folder inside system folder from CM7 zip file to source folder
-extract all file and folder inside system folder from MIUI N1 zip file to miui folder
-open temp folder and edit build.prop to match the miui version (right now is already set to MIUI 1.10.8)
-double click the CMD.exe shortcut and then type the batch file you desire
build_cwm.bat = pure for cwm 5 from jerpelea unlock boot loader (will give you bug no wifi...i still can't found the solution how to load the wifi driver)
build_cwm2.bat = for people using cwm 5 and unlock boot loader from Luke1215 (everything work)
build_xrec.bat = for people that still using xrecovery 0.3 GB ready (everything work)
enter and wait till the process is complete, then you will see the zip file that you need to flash your phone
the rom will come without any tweak, but it's already fast, so you can modify whatever you like
and also will come with minor/known bug (built-in ap, dim brightness and all bug that you already know )
so basically i'm releasing this script to help people to understand how hard to find and fixing bug.

Currently trying to port N1 German / English 1.10.7 from miui-germany ;-)
EDIT: It's running fine. Have to tweak a little bit. Only thing is no Video. HD is missing and all Video-Modes given WHITE-Picture but no WLOD. Pictures are running fine.

Mhhh, only though why Nexus One instead one other ?
I've tried with Optimus but wasn't lucky at all (No Boot).
Nevertheless i've tried the Desire Z instead and it was running in the same way like the same with Nexus One but it was from scratch faster.
Unfortunatelly no Videos, cause Videocam still produces only white pichtures.
Pictures instead are workig great.
Maybe someone will also try some other roms ...

Once you've made the rom just open it up and got to media, open the bootanimation.zip and edit it from there

What's wrong with this thread, i think it would be very helpful cause devs will see it easily. Not all devs are visiting miui thread so i guess its proper he posted it here. Maybe some good and helpful devs will take a look at it! Just my thoughts!

working but no 720p button , can you make the 720p button to appear?
cause i can record on 720p on my cm froyo build by wolfbreak..
eventhough its green while recording in 720 when you play it back its working ...

im working on it now its all todo with the media profiles im testing a few fings trying to get the image to be clear when selecting 720p
as for the zoom that didnt work for me on beta 4 thats y its not working in this
Is this the same Camera app that Wolfbreak has included as an update to his CM 6.1.3 v4.4?
If so then can you optimize the 720p quality please, since I get audio delays and the recorded videos also have lags in them. The 720p can be enabled by just clicking 'Custom' in the quality settings and although you see green lines and distorted images on screen, the camera app actually records in 720p
If you can fix the audio and video issues, this will be the final answer to _ALL_ of our camcorder woes

no it dosnt work on there roms coz the camera dosnt work on them i have been trying all morning to get the camera working on trips rom i have edited his rom got it to install but still not luck i will keep trying but please note im not a dev so dont expect much
this will work on all 2.2 roms based on aosp an cm but not miui

everything works just as mentioned!!!!! the most important thing is that the LED is fixed so no more battery drains as there were in Rachts rom and working as it should AND the 3d games are now playable the games works just greattt!!!! FM radio is working as well...........

1. Did you ask Racht for permission?

If i not mistake it should be restore from Backup & Recovery options either Xrecovery or CWM Recovery.....

All 2.2 Rom are based on cm6...there isn't any strange on this

there's a difference between basing the rom on CM6 and actually NAMING it CM6...

Could you send a screenshot of Antutu results and Quandrant Advanced?
And bytheway, from the screenshot i can see the SU is outdated, could you update with the Superuser 3.0.7? It is available at androidsu.com/superuser/, just pick up the ZIP, and then use the SU and Superuser.apk and replace in your ROM's ZIP
If you want to instal it through Xrecov don't forget to Mount System manually before.

for me froyo pro 2.2 its the best froyo, i tried this but i dont like it

i tried and the score with benchmarks its not god...the ram is low in antutu and the cpu floating point is not fixed,if i put the fix the rom doesnt work...get back to froyo pro 2.2

How in hell do you have the right to say that to him when "YOUR" rom was made in the exact same way..?!
Cooking a rom is easy, actually developing something is another story.. How many lines of new code did you wrote/edit in "your" rom?
Editing config files doesn't count..
Intalling a new theme/fonts, adding modules and apps doesn't make it a new rom..
Writing "tons of fixes" in the changelog makes it even more pathetic.

Hi guys recently I do not have that much time for playing with roms, so I made this tools to let you port latest MIUIv4 for you Xperia phone, engine supports Neo, NeoV and Ray (I didn't test)
I build MIUIv4 from source, but porting is almost the same or maybe even the same effective way to get latest MIUIv4.
M4X is compatible with miuiandroid and miuiscotland roms (didn't test with Chinese's and US's)

Tpis:
In main folder /miui4xperia you can see two shortcuts /apps-custom and /init.d-custom , if you wanna add any custom app or init.d script directly to your rom add your files there before you start porting.
IMPORTANT! Do not delete or edit any existing file from \miui4xperia\tools\resources\ or two shortcuts

Thanks. Tested with MIUI Scotland 2.4.27v2 and the official Nordic release and it works fine on the Neo. In addition to the camera fix, I had to make a small tweak to get the flash working.

how did you converted system.sin to system.img from nordic release? sin2img only copied source system.sin and didn't converted it to img.

I had taken a backup on a fresh flash, but this should work as well.

@palimatix it could, but am not the one that is responsible for not compatible 'mi code' with .562, when they will make necessary changes over 'mi code' then I will think about it

@saladbar if you used miuiandroid or chinese rom then there is no gapps, so you have to flash theme through recovery, take 'em from cm9 thread

I used my CWM backup of Nordic, and so far everything is working great.
Smoother than 2.4.6 that I have tested before :>

@saladbar because you need to do it through vending.apk.. which is a part of gapps
btw. guys go to cmd and type: echo %date:~3% how it looks like?? for me it's: 2-04-28 and that is how I added support for miui version in phone details, but I need some info from other countries (date format can be different)

In both flashes i did flashed ics gapps from fxp thread. Nothing happened. No option for google account.
MIUI android has its own gapps that needs to be flashed.. try that..

Yes, I had a clean backup of Nordic.

So far it's the best ICS ROM for me :>
But I have a trouble with installing DSP Manager(my Jays headphones love DSPManager+PowerAMP and that's why I want some ICS ROM - DSP on GB is weak). I have installed some pack for ICS with libs, but it doesn't work :/

Quick Review :
- Everything works!
- New bootlogo (SONY), new bootanimation (Walkman) and new baseband 72, old kernel 2.6.32.9
- Games work fine, you might notice a little lag, but since the OS install is fresh maybe that is why. I tested temple run, the accelerometer works fine and touches are responsive as they should be (infact i feel higher fps, not sure though).
- Accelerometer in normal app rotations might be a lil slow as compared to CM7.2. But thats not a major problem is it?
- Walkman app, launcher are the same, but with new icons from NXT theme
- As compared to my friend's neo v on .562, this is smoooooth....infact just like 2.3.4, quick and responsive
- Camera is the same as on Minicmsandwich lite AOSP
- Phone app (Infinite view) is slow, but is now perfectly resized for mdpi
- Calender & Calculator are same
- Two galleries - Xperia gallery(similar to 2.3.4 gallery) and ICS standard gallery
- Little jerkiness while recording 720p with image stabilizer ON, with it off, no problems.
- Track ID still wont work for lost DRM keys, unless u install the new version from Play store.
- Brightness Levels are less as compared to non stock roms like CM7.2, etc.
- Battery life needs to be tested!!!

via pc companion? how about the root acces?
The boot animation reminds me of my old w810i ....aaah....that feeling. As many people were crying about the performance, man this rom is speedy....play store automatically installed my last 23 apps, and this thing never hung for a second....
plus good to see the walkman key working and the lights working together!

Yes you can .... version is same ..i.e ICS 4.0.4 But some apps and stuff is different for different regions.......

yes you can flash with locked bootloader / unlocked bootloader / custom rom and kernel / stock rom and kernel .... whatever be the state of ur phone u can flash it ... to go back take backup of ur current rom using cwm ... ( the kernel u r using now might have to be flashed again in case you want to go bakk )
One question!
I once did a gb update ota. after that all my apps had gone. so the phone was set back to factory settings.
When i take this ftf file and flash it via flashtool over my current stock gb rom, will it also be set back to factory settings?
