MIUI rom fail? - Vibrant Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

After installing I've been stuck at the MIUI_US united World wide splash screen for the past 20minutes.

Sounds like a bootloop. Did you wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik, fix permissions and (if you flashed another kernel) flash the kernel cleaning script first?
If not, do all that stuff. I flashed MIUI yesterday without issues.

if you can load into CWR goto Mounts Menu Format Data, Datadata, System, Cache, the goto advanced Wipe Dalvik. Now install Miui. and Fix permissions then reboot.
if not revert to stock via odin/heim and follow the steps above after flashing CWR.

I already backed everything up and disabled voodoo (just for safety). Then, i wiped dalvik cache. Next, do i wipe data/factory reset? Then after that, wipe cache partition? Then after that, flash new rom?
Vibrant, Bionix-v 1.3, Voodoo...
It's in the noob guide..

There's a thread about your problem right above your topic here.
Or just try re-flashing. (Or try flashing it twice in a row)
tried, not working

How to change ROMS from Lite'ning to MIUI

Im using a galaxy s2 with Lite'ning rom (android 4). But i couldnt resist the MIUI UI (android 2) so decided to change to it. I placed my zip files in the internal storage and reboot CWM to install the zip. But to no avail, my phone gets stuck in boot loop twice. so im wondering is it because of the different android version that my phone refuse to boot? How can I overcome it to install MIUI?
Thanks in advanced

- Flash MIUI.zip
I would throw /format system at the end.

Clean Slate for those that balls up the firmware .Or need to return to service or decide if its hardware/firmware problem .
Backup data first if phone is working .
Boot CWM recovery
Mounts and Storage
Format cache data system sd card .
Remove battery
Boot to download mode
Open Odin
Install correct stock firmware or even your original firmware .
Still fails install old bootloader .

My question about wipe Dalvik cache, wipe cache partition, ect.

Hi everybody, I'm a vietnamese. I never used a android phone before.
I see in StreakMod recovery:
+ Wipe Dalvik cache.
+ Wipe Cache partition.
+ Fix permissions.
+ Wipe data/Factory reset (not sure)
I usually do it (in order) whenever i flash a recovery or install a rom. But i don't know:
1. Must I do that?
2. When should I do that, after or before finishing a "factory reset"?
3. After I do a "factory reset", must I do it again?
Sorry about my bad English.

Usually if you are installing a custom ROM it will tell you whether or not you need to do a wipe of the Dalvik cache. Always Factory reset before installing a new ROM unless otherwise noted. Wiping the Cache and/or a factory reset after installing a ROM can usually fix most FC issues and issues adding accounts on a Streak

Flashing full rom.zip

Does this wipe your current setup? Or only if I choose to wipe data?
I am rooted and custom recovery and want to be able to get otas from not on manually but don't want all data wiped.
Not for me. I dirty flashed otas then supersu from the blu_sparks twrp and didn't lose my setup. It reinstalled some bloat I had to delete again was all.
Use twrp-2.8.7.0-onyx_f2fs_r4.img
Boot in TWRP
Wipe Cache / Wipe Dalvik Cache
Flash OnePlusOxygen_14_OTA_005_all_201511232152.zip
Wipe Cache / Wipe Dalvik Cache
Flash OnePlusOxygen_14_OTA_005-006_patch_201511301941.zip
Wipe Cache / Wipe Dalvik Cache
Reboot ...
Flash BETA-SuperSU-v2.52.zip
Reboot ...
Flash Marshmallow-bootanimation-flashable-1080p.zip ...
There will be OxygenOS 2.1.3 x with root and all your original data unmodified.
