Official post
Upon review of user feedback and bugs that have been discovered with what was released as 7.1.0 stable, we no longer feel the 'stable' tag is appropriate for this rom.
The download is still available, however it is now being treated as a Release Candidate, rather than a proper stable release.
Sorry for all the confusion, and any issues you may experience. We will release a 7.1+ once we feel the ROM has matured to a truly stable status.

For me the market forcecloses since a last few nightlies, no matter what. I have tried clearing cache, data of the app, factory reset but it still force closes. and now with the stable release the contact app force closes.

I think video playback works now because I flashed it and was watching 1080p movies with no stutters/lag . It ran perfectly. It definitely feels more stable too.

Transfers work - Tested that with a WM6.5 device today.
Video playback works on high H264 but does drop frames now and again. That side will only improve though? 3GB H264 MP4 with bitrate of 25mpbs

UPDATE 4:46pm 7/21/2012:
Setup:
Motorola Photon
On Verizon network
With TWRP touchscreen recovery
Running AOKP Milestone 6
32gig sd card
Flashed the 1st alpha from aokp milestone 6 without wiping anything on twrp touch screen recovery. It booted up without fc's or issues, from the first 10 minutes of using it I can tell that the camera is not working (on preview it just shows a white screen). When plugged into my laptop it only recognizes MOT (internal sd card) and not the external sd card. Tried face unlock and it just fc's (I should of know that because the camera does not work, DUH :cyclops: ) I have not messed with anything too extensively but mostly everything works! :victory:
Quick issues (there may be other issues but these are the main ones):
*Camera and video camera are NOT working
*External sd card is NOT working

Dear Jokersax, do you leave cm9 and stop developing it? I just curious, but I don't care now that you develop an even better ROM.
And what about the old issue of laggy camera? Do you know when you or someone from your team will have the needed drivers? Motorola will release the ICS OTA update only in Q4 this year, so I thought that we will have to wait till then to get the fix.
The download speed is slow, and I can't wait for it to finish. It's odd, I used to download files from your website at 800KB/s, and now the average speed is 1300KB/s. It might be my terrible ISP.
Thank you very much for your work, and thanks to your team!

Runs pretty good, the first thing I noticed is the camera is only 5mp and I don't have SU access right now.
Great Job Joker!
Maybe this is nit picking, but the start up animation still says Cyanogen Mod 9. It has to be Cyanogen Mod 10 cuz it definitely looks different.... just sayin. I also got a Google One time has stopped error. I have rebooted twice and haven't received it again. It must be a setup app for new phones? Tried the Google Now. Kinda cool...
Seems to be running hot. I don't know if I have that sleep of death thing people have started talking about but, just curious if anyone else has noticed it, or I'd bring it up...
Joker. As usual. Thank you. You're the reason I haven't traded in my phone... it's been in a gutter and still works better than others!

Heck, max you could ever get out of it is around $35. Nobody cares much for a phone that doesn't have a dual core processor, a camera over 8MP, a screen over 4.5" with a resolution over 720p, and a front facing camera. The only way you could possibly get over $50 out of it is if you advertised the hell out of the fact it runs KitKat (eventually ).
yaay.. its run, thats the important thing. bugs is allowed here
this is great! i'll be following the progress on this rom with great interest!
thanks again
Now we may find out the real world benefits of Google's "low memory optimizations". Combined with ART some day, the Fassy might have a third wind.

Yes that is true. but for now it is lol. But vanir is coming soon. This will be considered stable when sdcard works because it is preventing camera , gallery , and google apps from working . Other than that it's stable and smooth other than the browsers graphical glitches and data which we know isn't working again just like 4.3
would be fun to see what it could do

I have been on the 1/11 nightly for a few days now and have experienced no measurable difference in battery life from the latest CM11 snapshot I was previously using. I flashed the pico version of PA GApps and only installed the other Google apps that I actually need. What are the battery stats telling you that is consuming your battery the most? Perhaps you have an app installed that doesn't play well with Lollipop and is burning through CPU cycles?
One thing that irks me a bit with Lollipop so far is the stock MMS/Messaging app and its notifications. I don't want the content of my text messages to appear in the notifications when my screen is locked, so I turn on the content hiding for notifications. But when I do that, the notifications don't tell me how many missed texts I have. Nor is there ever a notification count in the taskbar when on the home screen. When content hiding is disabled for notifications, I will see the content of a single missed text on the lock screen, but when there are multiple it shows the count. In comparison, Gmail will always show the notification count on the lock screen regardless of the content hiding setting.

I don't think dirty flashing is ever completely safe. It should be in this case, but you can't ever say for certain that a dirty flash will be "safe".

It really should always be safe. If stuff breaks because of it there's only really two reasons.
1) we screwed something up with database migrations or an update path (yea right =P)
2) some weird stuff was installed or previously broken on the install you're coming from
Generally speaking though, it should be fine to do.
Would you know what the misc battery consumption category consists off?
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using XDA Free mobile app
I use the USB tether function quite often. Is there a way for me to create a shortcut that toggles it on/off, either in the notification menu or on the home screen? I know there's one already there for hotspot, but USB performs better for me.
Also, great work so far on the ROM. Smooth and stable 100% so far. Only problem I've encountered is GPS eating a lot of battery, and that may have just been because of 1weather overusing it.
Edit:
I tried to flash 1/15 nightly over an unofficial build. It was "succeeding" in half a second with errors in the log that said it couldn't mount /system. Using TWRP something or other that I've flashed other ROMs with just fine.
Anyone tried hotspot tethering? Does it work as good as it does on cm11?

Not the latest, no. What did they change that might affect this behavior?
edit: I flashed the latest TWRP and gave it a shot, and it worked. So, really, what did they change? I wass using like 2.6 or 2.7.
Also still interested in making a USB tethering shortcut so I don't have to venture into the settings every time, but I can take that question elsewhere as well.
I just moved from the unofficial builds to the nightlies last night(to 1/15 build). I am still having issues with bluetooth audio that I was hoping might have gone away by now. Anyway in my car(Pioneer DEH-X6500BT) phone calls work just fine but when I try to play music, it will either play for half a second then cut out or not play at all. The music ticker for both youtube and google play music will continue to move, meaning the song is definitely not paused, and plugging it in to the headphone jack causes the audio to return. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting to no avail. I was on a clean install for both builds(unofficial and official) as well. If you would like a logcat or any other information let me know and I'll try to get it.

I had that issue too on 2.7 TWRP. I updated to 2.8.4 and clean installed and the issue went away. If you don't want to clean install I would try updating TWRP first, if you haven't already, then try installing again.

- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your device might be stuck at boot)
- Reboot
- Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!
- Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible!
Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 12.1:
- Copy CM12.1 ZIP to your SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash CM12.1 zip from SDCard
- Reboot

Not by the looks of it. There is still a memory leak somewhere
Sent from my LG-D855 using XDA Free mobile app
after a couple of hours worked me everything without problem.
the only thing is that I slowly throughout the system, I think it is normal for being the first version, I hope to go slowly resolving this as and when updates or exit the official version
PD: Bluetooth work ok! GearManager
Nice work!! Seems to be stable. For now I noticed only some double tap to wake issues as you mention

Anyone tried this via MultiROM as a 2nd ROM?

Life walker is not on XDA as far as I know but can be found on google+ https://plus.google.com/+LifeWalker/posts
Looks like Lifewalker posted a newer 12.1 build aswell.
Will definitely give OP's build a go as sounds to be pretty stable
Great job.
This ROM work fine. The problem for me is I like me with more settings. Thank you by your good job.
Hi. Is there any chance to fix manual network search?
Looks like some Samsung devices had fix http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/85732/

[ROM][5.1.1][SM-G360H/HU] CyanogenMod 12.1 for Samsung Galaxy Core Prime

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5.1.1 (LP), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*
*/
BEFORE INSTALLING THIS ROM, MAKE SURE YOUR DEVICE MODEL IS THE SAME AS TITLE
IF YOU ASK ANY QUESTIONS LIKE "IS THIS FOR MODEL BLABLABLA" THEY WILL BE ALL IGNORGED
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
We'll not support users and answer questions from users which:
are running a custom kernel
have flashed mods
modified system files
didn't follow our intructions word by word
are unfriendly
And most important: DON'T READ THE OP
What's working:
Wifi (connection, tethering, etc)
Bluetooth (need quick patches in download link)
Camera, video codecs
RIL (Calls, SMS, mobile data)
Storage (both internal and external)
MTP storage (both internal and external)
Offline charging
zRAM (compressed-RAM swap)
GAPPS
Tethering (USB, Wifi, Bluetooth)
GPS
Sound recording
Torch (flashlight)
BUGS/Not working:
Laggy recorded videos. In this case, use MX Player, choose SW codecs when you play these videos, they will become normal
Switching to other fonts will get bootloops after restart. In this case, if you use TWRP recovery, go to File Manager >> delete "themes" from /data/system would help you escape this without factory reset
First time installing CyanogenMod 12.1 to your Galaxy Core Prime, or coming from another ROM:
Install TWRP Recovery
Reboot into Recovery using 3-button-combo (Vol-up+Home+Power)
Do a Nandroid backup! (Optional and only if you weren't running TouchWiz before)
WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition + format /system partition)*
Install the ROM from sdcard using TWRP Recovery
Optionally install the Google Apps ( get it here: https://opengapps.org ) (pico GAPPS recommended)

Just saw them! This is gonna be daily driver on my phone. BTW, is there any possibility for that font-related bug to be fixed? I see it's there in GV CM12.1 since ages.
