Try these steps:
1. Unplug USB from the phone (leave the other end alone). You already unplug lolz. Make sure the other end is plug in to your PC
2. Remove the battery
3. Press and hold both Vol Up and Down (don't let go until you finish step 6)
4. Press and hold Power button (don't let go until you finish step 6)
5. Plug the USB into the Phone
6. Slide the Battery in
Good luck

Still the same results, tried holding up only, down only, both vol buttons and all three.

Open Odin & plug your phone into your pc & see if you get the yellow COM port box. If you do , just Odin from there.

!
I'm not too sure what happened, but just sat there and held all buttons with all cables plugged in for about 10 minutes and it worked...
Thanks for all your help!

First of all download this https://hotfile.com/dl/169829627/65a569d/flashtool-0.9.1.0-windows.exe.html
after that...install it on your pc!
then download this http://www.multiupload.nl/X9EW2A84SH
run the program(flashtool)
turn of your phone and leave that way at least 10 seconds.
drag & drop the file that you downloaded from the second link into the program`s window
clink ok at the window that appears
when asked to plug in your device keep the volume down and plug your phone into the usb.
after 10 seconds you can release the volume down button
wait for the process to finish!
reboot your device and that`s all
it should work
hope that helps you!
Thank You for all,,,

[q] xperia p root / flash - help

Hi
I'm a complete noob in this matter but I want to Root my device, I'm following the instructions in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2107775
My phone's version is 6.1.1.B.1.54
I'm at this point
A window will be opened saying to connect your device.switch off your phone for 30 secs.now connect the USB cable to PC(not on your device).now press down the vol.down button and hold it while connecting the USB to your phone.[now the flashtool will start flashing.but if you are doing for the first time sometimes the drivers are not able to detect the drivers of your phone and the phone starts charging in a normal way instead of flashing.don't worry.Disconnect the USB from phone only.wait for 10-20 secs.repeat from step v again and then connect your device while pressing vol.down button.the flashtool will detect your device and start flashing.)
You will be able to see percentage below.after it is finished it will be written there.disconnect USB cable from your phone only after watching it.
But I'm stuck at this point, theres absolutely no change at all at the process, this screen has been like that for like 20 mins

So if any of you more experienced users could tell me what to do or what to expect I would be greatly thankful

Make sure the USB Debugging is Check on Setting>General>Developer Option
if Developer Option not appear, Setting>General>About Device then Tab build number for several times
Turn Off The Note 10.1, than go to Download Mode by pressing and holding the Volume Down+Power buttons together (long press until the boot screen appear), now press Volume Up key to proceed to Download Mode.
Now connect your Galaxy Note 10.1 P601 to your computer via USB cable
In Odin3 screen, you should see a COM Port number like “0:[COMX]” at ID:COM section and “Added!” text at the message box. This means your device has been detected by Odin3.
Make sure that, only the “Auto Reboot” and “F. Reset Time” options are checked.
Now, click on the AP (PDA in older Odin) button and select the CF-Auto-Root-lt033g-lt033gxx-smp601.tar.md5 file.
Finally, click on the Start button to begin the rooting process, wait few moments
Once completed, you would see “PASS!” message in ID:COM port having green background
Your Tablet should automatically reboot after completion
You can now disconnect your Tablet from computer
Finish
All Credit for chainfire
thank you:good:
this one works in p605 too right?

I hard-bricked mine, too: No lights; no fastboot or flashmode; no hard reset, either. I tried Sony's own repair software, although it returned an error, the LEDs lit up. I've now got the tablet up and running again via minimal ADB
Run the Sony repair program again but do not repair, see if the LEDs light up. I ran the repair on a Mac computer, though, as it didn't work on Windows!

Problem

Hi
I have the KII-L21 version & I put the case on the wrong way round, so I presume it was pressing the power button without me realising. When I looked at it, it was displaying an EMUI message telling me not to unplug the USB or press any key.
Hoping to 'save it', I plugged it in a USB connected to wall charger.
But its been sitting there displaying this message - see attached - for over an hour without changing.
Any idea how to re-boot from this screen please ?

Have you tried doing a hard reset by pressing the Power button for at least 10 seconds?
