[Beta] Call Master CDMA testing thread - Droid 2 Themes and Apps

Hi everyone! Thank you for your help in getting CM up to a flawless standard! We are now almost ready to deploy CM 1.5 - it will include MMS blocking, Class0 auto replies and many other new and very cool features.
We need your help now to iron out any remaining bugs before we embark on a daemon rebuild. Please download the app from the market and get testing! Here are the issues we want to address specifically:
- If you have problems regaining 3G after the telephony restart. This should have been fixed. If not, please try "Slow radio restart" in Debugging and report your results!
- Issues moving list priorities on Light or Dark theme. Again, if you have issues, please switch to the other theme, try again and then report back.
- Notification color schemes. We are interested if the new notifications comply with the majority of frameworks.
Thank you in advance for all your great work, this ultra-awesome app is as much a child of yours as it is of ours
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Call Master is the most advanced call and text message firewall available for Android. With unique, powerful features and the proven reliability

This is a fully functional application. However, after a 24 hour demo period it will start nagging you to buy the Key, which will remove all nag
screens and timeouts from the interface. The nag screens are pretty light though, so users who dont want to spend can live with them.
Screens - VIEW GALLERY

OK guys, please sens some SMS to any number and then click "Write to us" in settings. We need to check how the SMS system functions currently.
Thanks.

I sent the logs, hope it helps

Updated to r17,
- Tweaked password protection and hidden mode
- Added LED notifications
- Added private conversations

R19
- Many UI bugs fixed
- Help fixed
- Added data connectivity on CDMA/LTE workaround (beta)
We have released R19 - this fixes much of the help and (hopefully) data connectivity on CDMA phones and LTE enabled phones.
Data connectivity needs to be tested. This is very important. It may not work, but even if it doesnt you should send logs so we can finally fix this annoying issue on some of the lte phones and a few others.
So as usual, test connectivity by keeping your screen on at first boot, and then sending logs with a description!
Thanks!

Im on R20, everything is working perfectly!

market only? really?? :|
no-gapps.

Yes really. Why would you not want to install the market? It just seems like such a silly, pointless thing to do...

Any issues to report?

How is the latest release coming along?

Any issues with 1.2.0?

Any issues to report with 1.2?

By the way, for those that dont know we released an app called SwitchMe that will, among other things, give you EVEN MORE PRIVACY:

testers: JT-, couga6442, happytweak and many others I might have forgot in the furry of three days I built the initial app from scratch.!
Thanks to SDX
Background:
flash_image (bmlwrite) is an extremely useful utility for flashing custom kernels, boot logos and recoveries. This binary has made it possible to easily flash all these items and is used almost everywhere behind the scenes (i.e. in custom recoveries, packaged into kernel /sbin, etc).
Description:
This android application, FlashImageGUI, is basically a GUI interface for the linux binary, flash_image provided by google in AOSP for loading custom kernels and recovery images onto the phone.
This app allows the flashing of kernels and custom recovery images in normal android mode!
No support yet for custom kernel flashing as there aren't any to test at the moment!
Current Device Support:
Full Kernel, Logo and Recovery flashing: Samsung Moment, Transform, Intercept and Acclaim - the s3c6410 series of devices
Full Kernel (Anykernel and boot.img) Flashing and Recovery (zip file or image) flashing: HTC EVO 3D CDMA and GSM, HTC EVO, HTC EVO Shift, Nexus S/Nexus S 4G & LG Optimus
Full Kernel (zImage) Flashing: Samsung Epic
Check application version for updates
HTC Unlock - Newer Hboot:
If you have a newer Hboot version on either a CDMA or GSM device which has successfully completed the HTC unlock method, this application will work to flash kernels!
Specific EVO 3D Support:
Custom Kernels - CDMA
[Kernel] [AOSP & Sense] Tiamat 1.1.0 | 2.6.35.14
[KERNEL] Infected-AnthraX
[KERNEL] mildAnthraX
[KERNEL] Silverneedle 1.0
[KERNEL] mKernel
Custom Recovery
Use my app to easily load the Teamwin Recovery - TWRP.
Download either PG86IMG.zip or recovery .img to your sdcard, select from the app and flash!
CWM 5.0.2.0 - EVO 3D CDMA - - http://download.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-shooter.img
CWM 5.0.2.0 - EVO 3D GSM - http://download.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-shooteru.img
Future Support:
Will continue to test kernels as they are released to ensure compatibility!
Install Directions:
Install process is the same as any other .apk. Download to computer and adb push or mount sdcard on computer and copy over or download directly to the phone. Use any file manager, adb, connectbot/terminal emulator to install.
My preferred method, maybe a bit technical: ./adb install c:\downloads\FlashImageGUI.apk
Market Location:

Clear Voice Mail Icon!!
Jetdr said:
Thanks to a suggestion made by a follow XDA Member (Can't remember his name sorry!!)
Actually you can fix the Voice Mail Icon issue!!! The one that shows up in the top left corner, NOT the text mail issue.
Takes an OLD sprint phone and some time.
First, put your EVO back to a STOCK ROOTED ROM.
Get your old phone out of the junk drawer (HAS TO BE A NON ANDROID PHONE) and call Sprint. Have the OLD phone switched back onto your account (thus removing your EVO from your account).
Once the OLD phone is activated follow all the steps to activate your voice mail account.
Call your phone from a land line phone and leave yourself a message, then call your voice mail on your old phone and delete it. MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO OTHER MESSAGES IN YOUR YOUR VOICE MAIL ACCOUNT.
Now you can call Sprint back and reset up your EVO. Once your EVO is all set up your EVO will reprovision your VM account. Follow all the instructions to get your VM account setup again. This would be a good time to update all the radios, PRI and PRL and make sure you update your profile.
No go back into recovery and wipe all and either NAN Droid back to your old ROM or start fresh. If you Nandroid back to a ROM with the VM Icon on it, don't worry it will clear off.
Use Google Voice if you can from this point forward. I have flashed many AOSP ROMs since going through all these steps and I no longer have to STARE at the stupid VM Icon.

There is no 4G, nor is it likely that there ever will be due to the current lack of support for 4G by the Chinese developers.

Yes weve though about it, its a good idea however it would eat battery.
Is it possible to create a custom zone where touch actions are disabled? Could be useful in a hand writing app as Palm block.
Obviously it is possible...

FAQ:
Q: The AOSP lock screen vibration toggle isn't working? How can I have the AOSP lock screen vibration and NO soft key hepatic feedback?
A: To have the AOSP lock screen vibration toggle function properly a couple of things need to be set correctly in settings. 1) make sure if you have the "power Saving" toggle on that you UN-check the "Turn off haptic feedback" toggle. Then go into settings sound and make sure that the "Haptic feedback" toggle is checked, then scroll up and click "vibration intensity" and the "notification" value is the one that controls it.
As for having the AOSP lock screen vibration and NO haptic feedback. This one, you need to make sure that the "Haptic feedback" is checked like above and the "vibration intensity" and the "notification" value is set correctly again like mentioned above. You need to turn on Power Savings for this to work. Just UN-check everything you don't want, just make sure that the "Turn off haptic feedback" is Checed. This will cancel out the setting in Sound to activate the soft key haptic feedback and still allow the AOSP lock screen vibration working as well.
Q: Does this ROM update my baseband? If not, how do I update to the newest?
A: No. This ROM does NOT touch the baseband. If you want to upgrade I provided links above for flashable.zips for MDK and ME7 so you can decide which suits you better.
Q: I have an issue, when should I post about it?
A: Please ONLY post issues if
you have done a complete FULL wipe.
you are not running anything outside the stock ROM, meaning kernels, themes, MODs, etc.
after you have completed steps 1 & 2 please kindly post your issue(s) and I will do my best to alleviate them.
Q: How can I donate?
A: My paypal donation link is set up to the left under my name click the "Donate to me" button, or my PayPal address is [email protected]
Q: What do I choose? MOD only or Full Install?
A: The ONLY time you want to choose "MOD only" is when you want to go back and add something, so say you are on v1.1.3 or any other version, and want to add the S Translate, you choose "MOD only"
that would be the only time
when you are installing a new ROM, such as v1.1.3 over v1.1.2 or even doing a full wipe install, always choose full wipe (Aroma does not wipe for you, though) so even after choosing the full wipe OPTION, you would still need to wipe the phone in recovery prior, or after the install.
I'll try this bad boy out!!

Looks awesome. Native tether enabled/hacked? I travel a bit so this ends up as my number one feature in a Rom. I've not had good luck with the tether apps.

Please don't theme base. Maybe an add on theme is good but I personally dislike most peoples theme taste. Whatever happened to the old days of devs...and themers. Seems like now it's themers building Roms and baking their theme into it. Blacked out is overplayed also. There's no aesthetic appeal to making something plain colors with no aliasing and dropshadow to enhance the dimensional appearance.
Anyways...that's assuming your 1.1 plans are going to be extensive. Minimally themed is best imo

I just tested and it seems to be acting really weird, let me dig into that, thank you.
Although, this is with stock, a 3rd party app may work.

base is 100% non-themed..
this ROM will always be stock themed, with theme add-ons.. this is why I have a "theme" section in the second OP
my plans for v1.1 are already listed as well.
I also don't claim to be anything I am not.
I don't claim to be any type of amazing developer because I simply am not.
I am an attentive DEV, that enjoys helping the community and the challenge that I get from this.
I brought blocking mode and call/message block back to us Verizon customers, that's the only true DEV accomplishment I take credit for.
Thanks Andy bones gonna download now AWESOME

So 1.1 will bake in the ME7 updates, did I read that right?

Yes you did. I got this phone on the 23rd of this month and had already stared on MDK so wanted to start with this base as I find it very solid, then move on to fully making v1.1 based off of the ME7 base that is now rooted, just want to be sure that there isn't any issues first.
Thanks for this Andy! As I told you recently in a G+ group that shall remain unnamed, you and scrosler are my devs of choice when I do run TW. And then there was only one!
Anyway, just got my S4 today, so it was perfect timing to see a BoneStock pop up here tonight! Thanks so much for your continued work and support, downloading now, and looking forward to the ME7 rebase!:thumbup:
Great to see you here andybones! Will give this a whirl and looking forward to see whatever you have in store.
Well look what we have here. Nice work pal. Keep it up, and good thing I did what I did...

Thank you everyone, hope you find 1.0 to be nice, working on v1.1 soon.
added screen shots to 3rd OP
Looks awesome going to give It a try
This ROM does have fully working Blocking Mode, and Call/Message Block (look at the screen shots), give those features a try, VZW worked hard at taking them away from us but I worked even harder to bring them back.

Settings, My Device, Rom Control, very bottom - Home Wake Button. You have to enable it then disable it again to get the Power button wake back.
My apologies, you already found it.
Just want to say - excellent v1 release andybones! I miss a few of the convenient addons, etc from Beans but a very solid start and, as always, I await the future. No problems whatsoever at this point - well, other than I finally found out my Samsung 64GB SD card is trash which is a different subject altogether.

ADD YOUR OWN CUSTOM IMAGE WITH THE OZOP CUSTOM BACKGROUND TEMPLATE
1) Download the Custom_BG_Template_OZOP_MM_07.08.2016.zip ATTACHED BELOW and extract the files to your phone or PC.
2) Choose your image and which BG you want to change (image can be a png or jpg, IMPORTANT only that the name matches my template for exact replacement
Now using the extracted zip template move your image that has been renamed to following locations and names
a) Main System BG - stangs_bg.png and stangs_bg_light.png(1080x1920, not as important as the others, it will be resized automatically)
Code:
(template location = vrtheme/system/framework/framework-res.apk/res/drawable-sw360dp-xxxhdpi-v13)
c) Pulldown Notification - pulldown1.jpg, pulldown2.jpg, pulldown3.jpg and so on up to pulldown15.jpg (1080x1920) add up to 15 option that you can instantly toggle with OZOP Control
Code:
(template location = vrtheme/system/priv-app/SystemUI/SystemUI.apk/res/drawable-xxxhdpi)
3) Name your image to match the image you want to change (if it's a png, just name it jpg). The image size may need to be played with to your liking, there are plenty of app in playstore for this
4) place your renamed image in the location I've described above (remove any image from the template you don't want to use)
5) Zip up the files and flash
6) Enjoy and show off your work to the rest of us!!!
NOTE FOR DIALER BG's
Dialers = are all stored in the "ozop" folder in your phones extra storage. Replace any of the images with png or jpg renamed to match EXACTLY. Then use OZOP Control to switch
Attachments below are:
#1,2,3,4) Main Dialer BG(scaled for condensed display) Download and apply via OZOP Control
#5) modded stock launcher with 5 app dock, plus the app drawer icon.(grid layouts coming soon)

The ROM has been tested by F and I users. It's built from 925T Edge stock tar and my device is the 920T flat.
Unless you are using a T/W8 device you will need to flash the call audio fix in the OP.

Thanks you guys, I've been around for awhile in the TMO threads, but figured I could share some of the goodness elsewhere. You've probably seen my work around in various Aroma zip of Mods.
Anyways, for me to post screenshots is very difficult, not because it's hard, but because there are so many options to change every view instantly, like background colors/Styles, text colors or hide certain dialogs or boxes.
Here's just a couple of the colorpicker text On-the-fly Mods with a quick shot of the Dialers and settings Mods that can all be changed and tweaked instantly using my OZOP Control app.
Once you try it you'll understand what I'm talking about being difficult to get shots. Lol
Again, this is far from my first ROM and won't be my last, but this is my first ROM being shared in the international forum.
So I am willing to continue updating and bring stuff here just need your guys help if bugs pop up so I can fix them right away.
For my there are no bugs, we'll just the lockscreen security bug, but with the apktool update that should be resolved by the next update.
Hope you all enjoy
ALSO THE SCREENSHOT SECTION IN THE OP SHOWS SOME VIDEOS OF THE ON-THE-FLY MODS
No feedback?
Just curious why I have haven't gotten any feedback?
Like I said, I have a LOT more work including my full OZOP Aroma ROM builder zip I would love to share here, but I can't work in the dark!
For me and my T mobile and Canadian users everything works perfectly!
I've received only a couple of "I" and "F" users confirming things working great after the call audio fix is flashed.
Would really like to hear from more users so I can continue my work on this project.
If you want to read about the success of this project check here
Honestly, I'm not sure if you will find a more customizable user controlled ROM anywhere!
Just give it a run a.d find out.
Let me say this, by giving it a run, that means at least a few days!
You simply can't explore the controls and appreciate this rom in less time than that!
After that, you'll be hooked and this will be your daily driver.

Really? The shutdown ok, but the boot?
The ROM has both custom bootanimation.zip or qmg support.
There are tons of threads around xda with unlimited options.
If you do choose to use a qmg animation, simply delete the bootanimation.zip from the system/media folder and reboot. I can't remember what qmg animation I have in there, but you could try that now and get the stock animation back.
Also here is a link to my Aroma boot/shutdown/splash screen thread.
The Aroma includes 40 bootanimation, 26 shutdowns and 45 splash screens to pick from.
Good luck and enjoy
I have a question for you. Like I said, I'm trying to ensure a quality project is available here and want to know the compatibility so far.
May I ask what device and model you are using?
Thank you

Galaxy s6 edge 925I, everything working great so far
Hello I installed this rom in my 925i and work perfect :good: ,this is amazing , come on guys you should install this rom!!
will not regret :highfive:
HI and THX for this ROM
Good job and it would be nice to see you develop this ROM further.
I have 920F (flat). Europe - Finland
I did Factory wipe before flashing the ROM
Few things.
Gallery - I cannot delete any photos from gallery. I cannot add new wallpaper from gallery. (These are minor "bugs")
Touchdown app - I use Touchdown for my corporate e-mail. Normally to sync e-mails I use "Back" button (long press) and I can sync. With this ROM it only Kills the app. So no syncing.
And the biggest issue - In-call and Out-call: I cannot hear anything when i make a call. No dial-tone, nothing (if other phone is busy or connecting). I cannot hear if other party is answering and the other part cannot hear me. This is for both out-call in in-call. Nothing.
Before I flashed that fix which you provided it was like calling to Fax or answering to a Fax call (I hope you understand what I mean by that).
I am sorry I have no logcats because I use this phone as daily driver and I really needed to get working ROM back. I can flash this again and try to gather a logcat if you need. But you have to wait few days. I need a working phone now.
Thank You
I cannot hear anything even after flashing the call fix..I'm on the 925F edge.love the work but this the only issue I have and is .I hope there is a fix for this..
Good.
Sent from my SM-G920F using XDA-Developers mobile app

I am sorry I have no logcats because I use this phone as daily driver and I really needed to get working ROM back. I can flash this again and try to gather a logcat if you need. But you have to wait few days. I need a working phone now.
Thank You

1) never had any issues with gallery so don't really know how to troubleshoot the issue?
2) touchdown app - I only use Gmail, but I do understand the need for people to use corporate emails. As far as "Holding back to Kill",
Yes, "Back to kill" is set by default, but not set permanently! I have modded ALL hardware buttons to remap and reassign to various options.
The "Back" button "Long Press" mods can choose from various functions including the "Stock" TW function or you can choose to launch any app.
3) The call audio Issue is something that others have overcome, including 920F and 925F users.
I am hoping to get a reply from a user a couple post below this to clarify exactly the steps they took to get everything up and running as it should?
Did you flash a compatible kernel for your device afterwards?
Thank you for the feedback and helping this project!
I'm sure I'll have the proper instructions for all users very soon!

It seems that things are going fine for most devices, but some F users are having the call audio issue and aren't able to correct the problem?
I am hoping that you could share SPECIFIC Steps you took to get things working properly?
1) Wipe method
2) Install Rom?
3) ??? Kernel
4) ??? Call audio
5) Anything else?
Thank you for the feedback and hope to hear back from you so we can help other users!
I am glad to hear all the positive feedback and hope the everyone know that this project is only going to get better from here on out!!
You may have notice the "Text coloring" options is in various sections?
The "SystemWide" text options are making their initial introduction and it was a little unorganized and not what I wanted.
I've relabeled the options for better descriptions of the text options, as well as added some new On-the-Fly instant color changing options!!
The system by default is inverted and included a mod to pick your own "Custom System Background" via a zip template I will post shortly in the OP with instructions! The zip template also include mods for the Pulldown Background and the Main Dialer.
Speaking of Dialer BG mods, you may have noticed a folder in device storage named "ozop", inside the folder are various images including
images that can be replaced with any image you want by renaming the image you want to
"dialercustom1.png, dialercustom2.png up to dialercustom5.png for the main dialer
and
"incallbg1.png, incallbg2.png up to incallbg10.png
That should keep you busy until v3 Full Aroma comes out with "The Missing Link" theme builder section for changing OVER 30 different sections of the phones theme with some sections having more than 50 choices!!
Basically you could pick a new totally Original theme everyday for as long as you want!
Stay tuned for more....

Hi everyone!
After years of reading, flashing, and gaining a lot of Android-knowledge on XDA-Developers, I felt it was time to create my own Xposed Module.
So hereby I proudly present to you my first app:
AppContext
Better application context for Tasker with Xposed!
Now available on Google Play, XDA Labs and the Xposed Module Repository.
With AppContext, you can have Tasker react on running applications, without the downsides of the default implementation.
The default application context of Tasker has several downsides:
• it is inaccurate (in Android versions after KitKat)
• it needs an accessibility service (which disables screen lock for enhanced data encryption, but this can be re-enabled)
• it checks frequently which app is running
Especially the last point is inconvenient, as frequent checks may drain battery and infrequent checks means Tasker is slow to react.
AppContext solves these problems by utilizing the power of Xposed! It hooks directly into the Activity-class, letting Tasker react immediately when an app starts. This means no more periodic checking which app is running, so no more battery drain and no more slow reactions. It's also perfectly accurate and doesn't need an accessibility service, so your device's screen lock can be used for enhanced data protection again.
(Experimental support for reacting on Services is also present.)
AppContext may also work with other apps using the Locale API, such as Locale, Llama, Automate, Automagic and others. However, this is not tested extensively.
To support development, AppContext contains non-intrusive ads. These can be removed with a small in-app purchase. (Note that if you donate through PayPal on XDA, ads are not removed. Nevertheless, it is still highly appreciated)
Please understand that AppContext is still considered to be in beta. There may be bugs. Please report them in this thread, or by using the in-app Feedback button or sending an email to [email protected].
Constructive criticism is highly appreciated!

A typo in the Tasker blurb.
Oneplus one, running CM13 (sultan's) with my own custom kernel.
Seems to be working fine!
Oneplus3t with magisk and systemless xposed, The App does not detect xposed is installed and module has been activated!

FYI you can still use disk encryption password with accessibility services. when you enable the service it disables the 'require passcode on boot' but you can just re-enable from the security settings and it works
great module by the way! thanks

That's interesting! Very unclear communication from Android though. I'll add your info to the first post, thanks for letting me know!
(And glad you like the module. )
Don't know if i posted this right but the message shown in "not running" state is the same as the running one in tasker. Shouldnt it say when "this app is not running" or something like that?
A great module and very reliable

Yes you're right! Thanks for the info and the screenshot. It's supposed to say "is in the foreground" or "is not in the foreground", but I see that "is" and "is not" have disappeared. Will be fixed in the next update.
Good to hear the module is reliable!
Interesting Module. I always thought Tasker's app detection was a bit unreliable. Never thought it could be improved though. Thanks!
Wonder if Tasker Dev (Pent) will/can implement this as a "fix"
Hi everyone,
The first update (0.3.1) is live! It is now available on Google Play, XDA Labs and the Xposed Module Repository.
It is just a quick bugfix update. It should fix the typo in the Tasker blurb, the crash when pressing 'back' in the 'Pick apps' screen and also enable Magisk systemless Xposed compatibility.
For those of you with Magisk: AppContext will probably complain it can't find the Xposed Framework, but if you enable the module and reboot, it should work (and AppContext stops complaining). I would be glad if someone could report back.
I will probably make a more elegant solution in a 0.4 update.
Please report any bugs in this thread, or by using the in-app Feedback button or sending an email to [email protected]. Thanks!
Enjoy!

I'm glad you like it!
I don't think Tasker can implement this though, as AppContext hooks directly into Android-classes, which is only possible with Xposed.
Very nice! You should post it in http://www.reddit.com/r/Tasker too.
If I set an app context using your plugin, then navigate to the app and toggle the screen off and on, the profile deactivates and activates again. Is this deliberate? I'm actually not sure what the in-built app context's behaviour is. I found it confusing since in that case I haven't switched app, per se.

Good point. It is sort-of intended behavior, as AppContext simply checks whether the app's (or Activity's, actually) 'onStop' method is called. This method gets called when you turn the screen off. I might change this behavior in the future, or make it configurable. Until then, you could use the following workaround:
Profile: Event --> Plugin --> AppContext --> Start --> pick the apps you want to act on
Variables --> Variable Set
Name: %appsRunning
To: 1
Either: Clone the previous Profile, then go into Configuration --> Menu (3-dots) --> Configure context --> Stop
Or: Profile: Event --> Plugin --> AppContext --> Stop --> pick the same apps
Task --> Wait
MS: 500 (You can play with this number: smaller for a quicker response, bigger for more reliability detecting screen state.)
Task --> If
Condition: %SCREEN equals on
Variables --> Variable Set
Name: %appsRunning
To: 0
Task --> End If
Profile: State --> Variables --> Variable Value --> %appsRunning equals 1
Perform your Actions here.
I hope this works for you (and others)!
And thanks a lot for the heads-up on the subReddit, that's actually a very good suggestion!
Nice! Checking this out. Thx!
Suggestion: currently on lollipop+(I think), location toggle is unable to be used, even with root. The workaround is to use another plugin app with root/adb privs, but I was wondering whether this could be changed using xposed (changing the location hook?), as it should be visible to tasker that's been granted root).

More like editing tasker so that the location toggles work when it's granted root, instead of actually requiring you to download another app/plugin and granting that root.
Any location/GPS usage gets the message "For Android 2.3+ Google have made changes such that it is no longer possible for a normal app to change GPS without user-interaction. If you wish to continue.. blah blah blah.. consider rooting and installing the secure settings plugin".
Considering that Tasker is able to have root privileges granted, clearly it should be possible for it to toggle location.

Got it! It's a good point you make. However it would require either an Xposed module, or an actual adjustment/update to the Tasker app (by Pent). In case of the Xposed module, it would be interesting to see if and how this can be done.
