{closed} mod please delete (sold) - HTC Amaze 4G

I have a brand new, unopened, unused, mytouch 4g slide I am trying to sell. I also have the Amaze witch I bought today. I f anyone is interested in trading an undamaged or unused, scratched Amaze for a brand new MT4GS plus $50, please PM me or email me at [email protected]. If i can get someone to trade me i am going to take back my phone and keep their amaze so I can get the rediculous amount of money back I spent on the phone. I have a post on the MT4GS general section if you are wondering about the back story.

[Q] Trying to sell phone for my mom

I just bought the HTC Sensation. My mother has the HTC myTouch 3g Slide and I had the Samsung Vibrant. My mom would like to buy a myTouch 4g but isn't eligible for an upgrade. We are thinking of selling my Vibrant and her 3g slide and purchasing a new phone outright with no contract. Is this possible? and what is the best way to sell? and how much can we get. both phones are in great shape!
Thanks in advance everyone.
You could always trade them in, Target has a decent program http://target.nextworth.com/
So far one of the better non-private party deals i have seen so far, plus target sells phones so you can use the gift cards towards a new phone
Do not trade your phone in!
Do not trade them in. They'll give you less than half of what they're worth. The best thing I could tell you is to go to ebay and check the prices of the phones to see how much they're selling for. Then do what I do, and just sell it on ebay. I'm going to be posting my mytouch 3g on ebay, as well as a samsung behold to pay for my sensation. Then next year when the new hotness is out, I will sell my vibrant to pay for that phone, just how my g1 paid for my vibrant.

Check the price of the completed listings for the mytouch slide and you will see that you can easily get $200 for a used mytouch slide, and nearly $400 for a vibrant. So yeah, like I said those trade in deals suck.
I've used Swappa.com before and loved it. Got a good price selling my phone. Only do Android phones.

You had to have purchased your evo from bestbuy and you must show a reciept. Bestbuy called me saturday to let me know that they were getting 25 evos friday and that me and my girlfriend were 5 and 6 on the list. I asked if they were buyin back evos and he said $100 tp $150 depending on condition and you must have geeksquad reciept. I sold mine and my girls on ebay for over $200 but if you bought your evo from bestbuy and are getting your 3d from them this mite be helpful info

Better of privately selling anyway. There are a lot of people out there looking for EVO's. I sold mine yesterday for $220. I placed an ad on Craigslist Friday night and had 3 people the next morning wanting to buy it that day.
Why anyone would want to trade it in and get robbed by BB, RS, or Sprint is beyond me. I can understand if the EVO was a hard device to sell, but there are so many people who are not eligible for upgrades and are willing to pay $200 or more for a used EVO.
So I am using my HTC Touch (Vogue) for a week. Damn I need my Android back! And yes I had Android running on this device but after owning the EVO it was unusable so I loaded back WM 6.5 which definitely runs faster on the Vogue .

Your right. You can get way more selling it on craigslist. I just hope I can find my old blackberry somewhere in the trash so I can connect it until Friday.

Whats everyone doing with their old phone?

Just like the title says. I am curious to see what everyone else is doing... I am trying to decide myself.
I was going to keep my Hero as a backup so I can cancel insurance. Well not anymore, trading it at RS for $40 and decided to keep paying insurance. I can't go back to the Hero after having dual core, too painful.
im actually going through radio shack and doing a trade in for 100$ credit applied to my 3d
Wait about 30 days or until I realize I'm keeping the Evo 3D then selling my Evo on Ebay for 200+
EVO 4g x 2 trade in at Best Buy @ $138.00 each!!!
have my EVO sold for $250...
person knows i won't sell til friday night though
Samsung moment: Turning it into a dedicated remote and keyboard for my HTPC.
Where's the poll option for "Smash it with a big hammer"?? I've been looking forward to getting rid of my Touch Pro since I first used Android 18 months ago.
selling my hero and keeping my evo.

Haha true. Didn't think about that. Hope you are not just throwing away the parts afterwards
I'll be keeping my Hero. Might flash it to metro pcs for my son or sell it on eBay or Craigslist. The $30 they would trade it in for is not worth it.
BTW: I'm refraining from getting on XDA on Friday until I get my EVO 3D.
My Evo is going to my wife, her Optimus S will be a back up phone. Insuring, both evo's.
I'm switching back to Sprint from T-Horrible and giving my Vibrant to my sister
Taking my wifes Hero and making it a WiFi Skype line for the house and giving my OG Evo to her....
I'm giving my Samsung Epic4g to my Mother, who has a Samsung Intercept, and taking her Intercept and selling it to the lowest bidder.
I will trade in my old Touch Pro 2 for $43.31 and a radar detector for $35.33 for a total of $78.64.
I will keep my evo 4g and get the evo3d for $120 after trade-ins. When the next phone better than the evo 3d comes out....I will trade in my evo 4g and evo3d for that phone.

Sold my Evo on Craigs list this weekend for $220. Had 3 people interested the day I posted the ad. I recommend anyone who has a backup phone to go to until the 24th try to sell it first before trading it in.
Back to my Vogue for a week. And to think I used to love this thing.

New battery and Sprint case w/holster

Im looking to get rid of the accessories that I bought for my photon. Both are new I am just past my 30 day return at sprint so I figured I could sell them to someone on here. Pm me for info

EVO LTE, to sell or not to sell. Resell value discussion

i upgraded to the htc one.
i really love my evo lte, even as just a stand alone tablet or camera device, backup phone. its in mint condition.
so im wondering, what can i do with it, or should i just go ahead and sell it? if so, at what price?
is anyone else keeping their LTE just for collectors sake?
I plan on getting the One (T-Mo) and I'm thinking of keeping my EVO. T-Mo trade in value was only $41. My daughter has a SGE4T and that was worth $50. I still like the EVO, but sprint's coverage in my area is terrible.

I would suggest selling it I've got a couple old phones lying around thinking I would use them for something but in the end don't. For instance I was gonna keep my lg marquee for my car but realized the battery on my htc lasts all day even if i use it iin my car

Keep it and use it for something else. I still have 4 (yes 4) original EVO 4g. 3 are going to my kids as media players and one I'm keeping to stream espn3, xfinity, etc to my tv.
You can probably get about 150-200 for it on ebay. I'll be selling mine in the near future.

Remember a couple things about ebay which I had to learn the hard way. First is they take 10% off the total cost plus what ever fees they charge to post the ad. Second is they make you verify your account *. Third always go with the paypal verified account**.
You'll probably sell your item if mint with good esn black 150 white 200 or more. But you may get some asshole trying to keep the cost of these up high to bid on your item for 200 dollars but then won't pay you. Happened to me and my girlfriend several times (remember it doesn't require a bank account to bid).
* When I sold one of my evo 4g ltes in a bid it got to 225 in a couple days this was when they were going for 250 minimum. Well I' not really checking on it because it's already reached a good selling price. So I go to check it a couple days later and that and another evo I got up there have been frozen. I'm like what the f#ck. I look at my email or inbox (can't remember ) I have a message to call them so I do and it turns out that sometime during the process they stopped it until I called them and entered a code. This was a week after the first evo went up.
** I had a ebay buyer change his address to something different from what was on his paypal account and then changed the ebay address back to the original and said he never received the package. Paypal sided with him. I still owe them 85 dollars.
No sure how well this copy paste is but here is the swappa pricing:
http://swappa.com/search?q=HTC+EVO+4G+LTE+(Sprint) Just to get a benchmark.
I'd say keep it as a backup phone but the value of the LTE is higher than past EVOs, it'd be smarter to sell it while the resale value is high.
