[Q] Audio Quality (not recording) - HTC Amaze 4G

Hi, I'm planning on getting the HTC Amaze 4G once my contract is up next month and I like to know how the audio quality is when it comes to listening to music and watching videos.
Is the audio quality on the headset jack and speakers good?

Does it have a Stereo Mic?

Does the S2 have a stereo mic, and does anyone know how well it handles loud music when video recording.
I currently have the HD2 and have always been impressed with how the mic handles very loud music, no distortion, and good bass on playback through av amp. I have no idea if the HD2 mic is stereo though.
According the Phonearena review it does (not final hardware mind you).

There was one review (can't remember it though sorry, so I can not link you to it) that clearly said the Mic sensitivity on the SGSII was much improved over the SGS.
Recording at concerts or parties was greatly improved in the sound recorded.
Any update on this? Anyone with an SGS2 who can shed some light on the sound during video recording? How well does it really handle loud environments?

Video audio testing...

So iv been wanting the evo to be a beast as recoding audio at loud concerts and stuff just like the iphone. I wanted to test out how good the LTevo is so i blasted my sp2500 speakers on full blast and tested out some video. my sp2500 are pretty beefy speakers and the video audio came out kind of good. stock settings also. my speakers have VERY high bass fyi.

Loud volumes in video recording compared with htc one?

Can someone with background on the htc one post a video or just tell how the phone record audio in a concert or loud music?
Any distortion?
Can match htc one audio capture?
I can say that audio recording in videos is garbage on the g2. my droid dna sounds muuuuccchhhh better, so i assume the one sounds as good.
the g2 has issues with the noise cancelling mic which is all software related i believe, because it sounds identical to how the rezound sounded, and that was somewhat fixed with new roms.

Audio Recording Quality

Currently I have a Samsung GS3 and I've been thinking about picking up an HTC One. I go to a lot of concerts and one of the major issues I have with the GS3 is the terrible audio quality when recording loud music. I know I'm not going to get studio quality sound when recording with a phone, but I'd at least like to be able to make out the song - this is not possible with the GS3 because any time there is loud bass, it distorts so badly that the entire recording is unlistenable. So my question is this: Has anyone recorded a loud rock concert with the HTC One? If so, how was the quality? If anyone has a youtube link to a concert they recorded, I would be very grateful. TIA.
From my experience, the audio recording quality is pretty good compared to my old Galaxy Note. Here's one at a club.

I don't think there's any distort in the audio but you can listen and hear for yourself.

Yeah that sounds way better than the GS3. Thanks

Headset microphone sound quality on Evo 3D (using headset jack)

One of the things that has kept me on the Evo 3D is simply the call quality. The internal speaker is excellent and the internal microphone has excellent pickup with minimal noise. In fact, a few times I had issues with making audio recordings on my computer, I used my Evo 3D to record and the quality was great!
HOWEVER....
When using a headset with a microphone, it is a different story. I have used a number of ear buds with microphones and still the recorded audio quality is noticeably inferior to the internal microphone. What really brought this to my attention was a recent experiment that I did.
I have a set of the newer styled Apple EarPods. Yes, the sound quality from the drivers is rather average, but... when I use the microphone on an iPod and make an audio recording, the microphone records very decent audio quality. I then used the same EarPods on my HTC Evo 3D to record and... there's a lot of background noise, as if there's absolutely no noise cancellation. When I had a call with someone where I switched between my usual earbuds and the Apple EarPods, the latter sounded flatter and more distant, but in both cases using the internal microphone resulted in much better sound. FWIW, I also adjusted the position of the microphone, from lying near my chest to held right up to my mouth.
So my question is this: Is there a known microphone quality issue with the headset jacks on the HTC Evo 3D?
I have 2 Evo 3D phones and conducted the same experiment on both with practically identical results, so I don't think there's a QC issue with the phones. Either the headset jack circuitry has a design problem creating sub par performance OR... do internal microphones always best headset microphones on cellphones?
Thanks....
