@ayan- can you upload your android2.2 rom so that we guys using Micromax A60 can try it with our device and if it worked then i'm sure many custom roms are coming.... which may also work with your device

Should have to ask whether Micromax is going to release official JB update, if not then there is no other way than to build the ROM from source.

Just follow the instructions on the first page of the CM-thread.
There isn't a stable version (yet), so so don't expect a full working rom without any (minor) bugs if you install CM10.2.
Blazing kernel is for i9100G. If you don't have an i9100G steer well clear of blazing kernel.

Then don't go for Cyanogenmod, because it's still under development. Why don't you flash a Samsung based custom rom? Maybe it's wiser to start with, and if you get a little familiar with all this, you can go for roms like CM.
Edit: make sure you flash the right ones, so for the I9100G!

I'm not really familiar with the I9100G and the available roms, but I assume you can see for yourself (if you read the threads) what people like and don't like about a rom. The choice is up to you, because everybody got his/her own preferences

4.1 to 4.2 upgrade involves risk of touch panel not working for some CHD phones. If you want 100% then go to service centre , they will upgrade free of cost ( in case something goes wron with touch panel responsibility lies with service centre).
There is no risk of tp upgrade error if you dont touch the phone for 20 minutes. I have used this method for 6 phones. Everyone in my family has a canvas hd

1. can I install custom recovery without rooting using sptools? because I want to keep backup of my original rom so that I can go back anytime I want.
2. can I flash any rom I want directly? like, I am now on 4.1 & if I flash 4.2.2 based rom will it work? or I have to upgrade into latest os first then flash any custom rom I want?

You can't install a custom recovery without root access. Once you rooted you can flash any compatible rom . It does not matter if you using 4.1 or 4.2 because a whole new rom will be flashed on your phone.

Custom recovery can be installed via sp tool without rooting and without any data loss. In sp tool uncheck everything and in recovery select custm recovery path. You are done.
Yes you can flash any ROM then directly via recovery.
Made a mistake. Got confused between rooting procedure and cwm procedure

To get ota u need to be on stock rom rooted and unrooted dont make a diffrence. You need the ota updater app to get ota. Hope this will solve all your doubt's :fingers-crossed:
