after testing many of the existing keyboards and themed keyboards I decided to make something after my own style. took a long time and a lot of help but I have gotten it nearly complete and I'm ready to release my modded HTC_IME for those who like it.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
You must be rooted to use this app.
It is confirmed to work with 2.3.4 based Sense 3.0 deodexed roms.
1. Download here - not flashable.
2. Extract .zip file.
3. Go to /system/app/ and delete the existing HTC_IME.apk (and if applicable, HTC_IME.odex).
4. Copy/paste this apk to /system/app/
5. Change permissions to RW-R-R
6. Reboot
You need to re-select the keyboard now..
7. Open any text application, press and hold where you would type, and click Input Method.
8. Select Touch Input.
9. Enjoy.

I don't understand what you mean. It was my understanding that this was the qHD version since it is based on our phone's stock htc_ime?

Well, I was using HTC ime MOD on my Desire which is a modded version of the original HTC IME. It's much better because you can customize everything (especially the delay for long-press numbers, etc...)
I'll PM you my custom version (I used the HTC ime mod kitchen) which only supports WVGA (it's hard-coded). Thanks!

Install Launcherpro.... From the market or from here: http://www.launcherpro.com/
When you're on the home screen, hit the menu button, then preferences, then appearance settings, dock background, custom dock, and then pick the dock you downloaded (shoulda been placed on ur sd card).
So, with out LP, then this theme will be using the stock dock? Is that correct?

Do you think you can possible skin the winamp widget and lock screen to match your theme(I have seen threads on this so it is possible, but not sure how). Thank you.

I have updated Lucid to v3.1. Complete Framework change. Extremely smooth and minimal now. You can port that if you want .

Hey draya, a couple of guys on the DX thread have asked for an updated port for the D2.
Can you please accommodate that since you already have a thread going . I updated Lucid to v4.0 with a ton of changes, new widgets and a new keyboard.
Get the file from my N1 thread as that is likely to be most up to date.

So, here we go.. first id like to thank Ajthescot for this is ported from his theme here made a lot of changes because i also inverted a lot. and also the clock images came from Stoney 666 thread and also JAITHEMES for the andy you will see i made into the rosie splash screen. i can not remember where i found the boot animation (it isnt mine)
I tried to keep it as neutral as i could so you all can still use the sense skins that where posted in drew's thread and still have everything match. IT ALSO ADDS A FEW MORE DROPDOWN OPTIONS
I did not do any app icons... their are many icon threads you can chose from. i did this because i dont have the time i used to for android and i hardly ever get a chance to update apps.
but i did edit a icon set to match that i found here

i think that is the base i used i ported it from the thread stated above. i had to make changes because i inverted it. and am still adding stuff. to be honest i doubt i will port this to anything other than team royal roms

Well done! Just installed on my TP, tried installing on my Kindle Fire CM9 as well but unfortunately the KF's 1024x600 res cuts off the home, back etc. icons.

Great job, took some time last night and loaded up the TWRP and im quite impressed with the ease of use and YES no more toggle of volume button!
To top it off, you offer up a skin to make it all look great!

Yeah pretty much, just change background.jpg to whatever pic you want, same with TWRP fonts, but if you use a font with a different size, most of the text will have to realigned as well....

Could you put the files for google services and only playstore, that way theres no need to flash any gapps and people install what they wont. Benefit more free space in system.

As it will be a minimalistic rom, i would like to see a black&white UI. It will look different from other roms like cm9 aokp And it will look very minimalistic
Since the main aim of the rom is the minimal size following are my suggestions:
1. Minimal gapps (Stripped down and should contain only google play)
2. Voice search, video: should be removed, as we need to anyways install mobo or similar player for viewing mp4 files of the camcorder. Also stock voice search doesn't work hence redundent
3. CM9 Launcher may be replaced with suitable low size laucher such as Holo
4. Live wallpaper and stock wallpaper may be provided as zips (not flasheble zips) so that the user can use only required files as per his choice and burden on rom of carrying these files will be removed.
5. Boot animation: No boot animation, it will save precious space on system partition, also rom will boot faster.
6. Sound, wallpaper etc: Should be based on Dragon Ballz theme, as this is Arjens project.

Have you thought about using the VRTheme system? It makes it much easier and faster to make the theme and you wouldn't need to update it for every update.
You can look in one I made for popup menus.
