[Q] Clockwork Mod recovery on Venu - Dell Venue

Has anyone installed Clockwork Mod Recovery on Dell Venue? if so, please share your install steps. I tried using rom manager app from Market and it did not list a recovery option for Venue, so I used Streak one but it did not work.
Is there a generic version available?

There is no cwm for the venue, noone has ported it.
I'm going to eventually attempt to if i can port it for the streak, without a device or a tester I'll be blindly working

Guys just got this information from my indian customer care that ginger bread will be officially released already for india in next 7 to 10 days and there are strong chances that will be worldwide.
It should have been released a lot way back but goggle being on strike the update was stopped for all.
For those on froyo please keep on checking and let to us who are on gingerbread.

The ZTE Recovery worked on mine, but you have to do fast oem unlock in fastboot mode first then flash it, then boot into recovery. Call Dell support and they will give you the unlock code for your device.

I don't think that it was gingerbread update, because the source code used to build the kernel was froyo.
And ill be very happy if I was wrong...

that source is clearly the gb kernel source, dell didn't bother updating the readme well.
official gb is out anyway, check the general subforum

theres an upgrade/downgrade thread in development if you have a look.
Yes actually I have checked it but it was for a att streak (assuming locked version) with diffrent builds than the streak I am using.... And if I am not mistaken I believe that did not have the appropriate recovery\stock 2.2 files needed.

Everything you wanted to know about the Streak, but were too busy bricking it.
Next time, use the site's search engine. The preceding link is general information about flashing a ROM. Specific information regarding StreakDroid can be found in the Streak Development forum.

Any update for Milagrow TabTop MGPT02-8GB

Is there anyone use Milagrow TabTop

No need to update OS
Hi, I am using the milagrow 8GB tabtop. It is running Android 2.3.1 which is good. Gingerbread is still most reliable/ stable OS ever made. My advice would be - run as it is, apps run very well - many came from before. Its safe buy..... I too their demo in the office.
Thank you. But my question is whether they provide android 4.0 update. Will you pls post the official website of it

Best streak rom

Hey guys I'm just wondering which rom for the streak 5 you all consider to be "best" ,smoothest, fastest. I'm using longhorn 2.9.3 and I like it but its also my first so I'm feeling antsy to try a different one.

DSC. It's the only Gingerbread ROM, other than stock Olleh, that has a working camera zoom. It's also the only Streak ROM still being maintained.
Yes I was actually just browsing the DSC thread. Can it be easily flashed over longhorn 2.9.3?
Sent from my Dell Streak using xda app-developers app
While this information can be found in the first post of the DSC thread, you have to do two factory resets for a successful install of DSC. One of them is Option 1 in the stock Dell menu you see when you access the recovery. The other is the factory reset option in Streakmod.
Okay, and I have to flash the 1.0 before I can update to the 2.3.3? And do I have yo use pdroid (I've not used it) with DSC.
Sent from my Dell Streak using xda app-developers app
Just flash the v2.0 and then the v2.3 over it.
You don't have to use PDroid, but as there is no con to it and the pro is too damn high, why not use it by choice?
If you choose to, then flash v2.0 first, then the PDroid-patch, then v2.3 for PDroid (not the normal one).
Thanks for that reply ill need to look into pdroid before I use it I don't even know what it is. Ill most likely he flashing tonight. Any tips for DSC?

Edit: After searching the forums i cant find any information on pdroid for streak. could someone link a thread (if there is one) please

scratch the edit i found the app on the playstore..i thought it was something that needed to be flashed...
so i do the "Flash me first" then the 2.0 and the 2.3.3 with pdroid and wipe caches and im done?
putting my ds5 on the charger now will flash shortly
i know i keep spamming my own thread but i dont want to make another thread.
do i need to flash the 2.0 PDroid and the 2.3 PDroid provided in the DSC [intl] thread
The PDroid app can only be used if you have flashed the PDroid Patch.
1. Flash the normal DSC v2.0
2. Flash the PDroid patch for v2.0
3. Flash the DSC v.2.3 for Pdroid users (not the normal one)
4. Install the PDroid app you found in the Play Store
All the Zip-files I just mentioned can be found in the original DSC thread
I don't know when wiping cache is necessary, but wiping before every step you flash something shouldn't be too wrong
Mods can delete this thread.
Thanks for the help guys!

Please don't!
Or transfer here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2255894
I am happy with the recommendations regarding which ROM to flash, so it should stay if you don't mind...
