Please, Share your experience with "CyanogenMod 7.1-cooper-KANG-RC1 Android 2.3.7"
I'm an average Android user and I have always heard of "CyanogenMod". Now in the development section "CyanogenMod 7.1-cooper-KANG-RC1 Android 2.3.7" is available. From your experience, what are the pros and cons? Is everything working? What are the languages supported (to write and view). What are the advantages over the official Samsung ROM? Thanks in advance!

If you get back into Recovery wipe all and re-flash the Rom, if not, try to flash a stock Rom with Odin.
And for all others : Flash Jusada's ICS

hiiiiiiiiiiiii i m usingCyanogenMod 7.1-cooper-KANG-RC1 Android 2.3.7 its great it has app2sd pre installed all the tweaks and hacks are
pre-applied on the rom.this rom is fully customisable and it works like charm.
now the bad things-
it is good for first 3-4 moths after that it starts giving problem.it is sooooo unstable.
here are the problems i faced ----
1.camera stops working fix-backup alll apps using titanium backup and fix permissions in cwm
2.adw launcher is old and not that good fix-download go launcher
3 freezes and starts rebooting fix-i really dont know

4.dose not starts up stuck at boot logo fix- in clockowrkmod wipe\delete factory rests ,delete card partition and delete delvik cache and flash the rom again with odin or clockworkmod.on first boot it takes some time.
overall this rom is awsomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

dis rom doesnt hv a2sd pre installed, u hv 2 manually install it. Behrad's cyanoace hs a2sd pre installed.

Ext4 is used to install your apps so less internal space is needed

Just got the O1 last week, my first Android phone! Tried out various roms and loved CM7 beta 6.2. Thanks Mik! Now I am currently on void because of the minor bugs in CM7, especially USB tethering . It seems to me at the rate that mik is going it is only a matter of few months before all the bugs are squashed. In that case, will it become an official release? Does anyone know how it is decided which ports become official?

Why are you being so sure "without any doubt" about O1 will entering the league of phone which are officially supported by CyanogenMod? Care to explain more?

check out LOL rom. out of the 2.2 roms I found that one the best (had alot of SD card issues with 2.2.1 roms) . I run miks 6.2 and its awesome. Having a great time tweeking it and look forward to official support!

Mik's CM7 is awesome, but because of the headset button being (apparently) an unsolvable issue, I'm sticking to Void for now.
I have no doubts. because most of the work for porting CM7 to O1 is currently done by mik's great work... and all phones that originally support Gingerbread are supporting by CM7 either...
Thanks to Mik, I can use gingerbread on my P500 without waiting for the official 2.3 release from LG. I am very happy with this rom!

You have a lot to learn before you should start installing ROMs. Start by reading http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=900905. Then go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=839 and read up on some of the ROMs that are out there. When someone makes a comment about something you don't understand, look it up. After that, you're probably ready to pick a ROM (what in particular do you want your phone to do that it doesn't do now?) and install it.
The best advice ever given here is: make backups before you do anything!

install custom recovery 1.2(dont go for 1.2.1) or u can install clockwork recovery|make a backup of rom|and procede installing mik rom .
boot into custom recovery
flash the zip file in mik rom for bootloop as most of the time updating from froyo system is not formatted properly.
Wipe data/factory reset.
3. Wipe Cache.
4. Wipe sd-ext.
5. Format /system.
6. install CM7 zip from sd card.
7. Reboot.
8. Done.

First thing after rooting you have to install custom recovery. Search the forum read alot from above posts and install custom recovery. Once u install recovery come back here we will help u.

Wired headset buttons don't work.
I believe that if you update the kernel this may happen.

I install custom rom in my p500 i.e Mik's OS 2.3.4 now my questions are
1. How do i install my edictionary and Ndrive which has come with this phone???? I have a copy of all file in my PC which was on 2gb SD card.
2. How i overclock CPU it is currently on 600MHz
3. I made a backup file of my phone using Titanium Back up but when i use it??

Performances ,
Cpu settings ,
Then Set Min (249) & Max Frequency but not More than 729Hz (its stable)

if you are using clockworkmod, it automatically partitions to ext4.
you only see those options in amonra

I have done that lets how it improve performance of the phone
installed hd games on my p350 but problem is ny screen resolution
i am currently using lg optimus p350 i hav rooted my phone successfully i also installed brother in arms 2 game and other hd games like real football 2011 few others..and i am amazed to see that they r wrking awesome without lagging but the problem is with my screen resolution ...my phone has 2.8 inch screen ..
so when i play the game i cant able to see it properly just like some of the game controls and all so tats the problem ..anyways i would like to know can i change my screen resolution or may be the game‘s so i can run it properly or chainfire 3d can do this for me .....????

upgrade to miks 6.6.1 and flash franco.kernel 2.6.35.14. the performance is a lot better
I installed darktremor a2sd.
I type a2sd check it says my partition is not mounted. Partition ext4. Mik_os cm7 6.5.7

If you didn't tryed it..then how do you know what is better.
I don't remember correctly, but in arc or neo forum is somewhere tutorial for app2sd scripting.

a2sd is buggy and made my neo reboot everytime i installed anything from the market !
use link2sd far better and saves more internal memory !
Don't use Apps2SD....just the built in move to SD card function.
I mean i tried link2sd and a2sd on my old acer liquid metal.
But a2sd giving me more free space.
Thats why i m forcing for that.
I want to use my ext partition, so cant use defauld 'move to sd function'
.
So, plz just tell me or give me link for any tutorial.

Working fine
I've tried darktremor's a2sd script on my neo. Use a2sdgui from market, after u flash the script. It is the 'graphical user interface', easier to use. But got bootloop whenever i tried to move or recreate dalvik cache to 2nd partition. That why i prefer link2sd more.

S2E app and script working only Cm7 based roms. And miui.us roms is based cm7.

AFAIK you can use "link2sd", you just need your phone rooted, a partition [ext(2/3/4)], and of course a FAT partitition too. There're guides over there, so, yes, it's possible in stock and rooted!

Wait for CyanogenMod 9 RC0-KANG-beta7 will have a beta with Camera,
choose CyanogenMod7.2-RC1-MIRACLE Edition V2 or upgrade to CyanogenMod 7.2-KANG-RC1?

beta stands for "in test" so if you want a stable one i'd go for the CYNM7.2

CyanogenMod 7.2-KANG-RC1
I had problems with CyanogenMod7.2-RC1-MIRACLE Edition V2 when I tried to restore my data and apps with Titanium Backup. I couldn't load Wifi and Google Play Store.
Then when I tried to make a wipe to fix it, the phone didn't load, only it appeared the boot screen once and again.
With CyanogenMod 7.2-KANG-RC1 I hadn't any problem. I recommend it. Also it's easy to install.
For me it's always better to use raw roms, becausr the dev still working on it.
I advice the RC1 by v0-1.
The be.st for me because it's fast and have quite good battery life.
But of course this is only an opinion and I encoirage you to try both of them and choose the one you prefer!

I had this problem and the solution isn't flash de patch, only flash de ROM.
My benchmark is 2012 .
Finaly, a very smooth and fast rom and now wait for a final CYANOGENMOD 9.

Dear devs, I dwonloaded Honeycomb Rom posted in galaxy ace android development section.I extracted rar file.Put it in clockworkmod/backup.Rebooted.Wiped data,cache,dalvik cache.But when I tried to restore it,it gives error not found.
Please devs, requesting ypur help.

I think that you dont need extract de file, put de rar or zip directly in the SD and then, into the clockworkmod use option "install from zip"...
