Please help. I have a Korean Optimus One, model number LG-SU370. I tried to install custom recovery. I followed all the instructions here without any errors (except for step 5). When I rebooted into recovery mode I am stuck at the LG screen. It was only after pulling the battery out I saw it was not a P500 (it said optimus one at the boot screen). I have tried to do the factory reset but it doesn't work (tried every 2 and 3 button combo). Please help! What can I do?

Donot worry your phone is not bricked
and lg optimus one = lg p500 as far as i know.
try reflashing recovery
if you can boot into your phone then download rom manager install it, open it then click on something like "flash clockwork"(your phone must be rooted)
if you cannot boot or phone not rooted follow

as I can see u r stuck at lg mono....so this means u can boot into recovery...if it is so then...
download your optimus one official firmware (google it) or the ROM u want to flash (make sure you choose the ROM compatible with your baseband) n place the zip in sd card....boot into recovery wipe data and cache and then install zip from sd card...

Thanks for the help, but I have got it sorted. I was unable to boot into recovery mode or use the USB + emergency mode. I took back to the store I got it from and the guy there was also unable to do anything with it.... so he just gave me a brand new handset. I love Korean after service
I don't think the Korean and international Optimus Ones are the same. The Korean one has a few features that I don't think are on international models (e.g. Digital TV/Radio decoder and dedicated hardware for phone/online banking). The Korean version also seems to have two proximity sensor 'holes' just to the left of the front speaker. See this pic:

To any users of the Korean Optimus One out there: rooting with gingerbraek works fine.. but I wouldn't mess about flashing ROMs/Kernels unless you are confident!!

Recently i bought a LG Optimus Chat C550 and tried to root it using this method which worked great!
After that i installed a few apps including Rom Manager and tried to install ClockWorkMod Recovery though Rom Manager. It ask me which model my phone was but since it didn't had my model there i chose 1 that said "And others", the phone rebooted after awhile and now its stuck on LG screen.
I've been trying everything but with no luck, my PC doesn't recognize the phone nor ADB.
I'm not a expert just usually follow guides/tutorials. I can't find anything about how to fix it here on the forum or on google :/
Does anyone know how i can get it fixed?!

Hi I have done exactly the same thing to mine Got a second hand C550 and rooted it then downloaded rom manager then selected phone Optimus V and now just stuck on the LG screen and lights on the qwerty keypad flashing on and off - tried doing a full factory reset by holding end/send/down volume at the same time and that didnt work, if you get any news or fix will you let me know please and I will do the same if I find out something. Cheers.
okay i did something stupid i tried to install cm7 onto my lg optimus and now it work start up please help he all it will do is when i power it on is show the lg logo then the sprint logo after that the screen blink and show the lg logo for a quick second please help me fix this and it wont boot into recovery i tried up rocker home button and then power it wont work its just show a black screen when i tried it please help me out ASAP I need a way to reset everything by pc because the up volume home and lock combination wont work it just show lg screen for a second and then a blank black screen
The last solution is to flash a stock firmware with kdz uploader. Anyway, keep trying, I assume that you already know how to enter recovery.

You said you phone is LG optimus, should be GT540? Please confirm whether your phone is LG Optimus one.

do you have fastboot installed? your recovery probably is corrupted you need to reflash your recovery.img no need for KDZ shiz and LGDMP stuff

okay im sorry for my poor grammer above but my phone wont show nothing but the lg logo and the sprint logo after that nothing else i cant go to usb storage or mass storage or anything cause the phone wont boot the link above require me to access the setting menu but i cant cause i was stupid and inexperience and brick my phone i need something to fix this also again i cant use the phone period therefore going into recovery mode and try to restore my back up rom or anything is not possible sry for me complicating thing
when i use rom manager which cause all this mayhem i select all 3 boxes one contain backup rom and there was two wipe option i check all three and i have the feeling my phone wont boot up cause there nothing on the internal memory this may or maynot be true this is just my hypothesis

There is no forum/section for the optimus s here on xda. Your best bet is to look for other websites, such as android central.

nothing similar seems to have happened to anyone on the specific phone.. i had miui custom rom and CWM RECOVERY installed on my phone but it was so buggy that i wanted to go back to cm9 (which i had before installing miui).. to avoid any bricks i decided to wipe data,cache,dalvic cache and i accidentally also wiped /system... when i realized what i did i rebooted my phone without installing another rom and it just showed up the lg logo which shows when it starts. it wont boot anyway :crying:. i cant boot into cwm (volume down and power) which i could do before the wipe. my phone was rooted. before going to cm9 i had installed custom rom firmwares through kdz updater. now when i plug my phone IT RECOGNISES my phone both on emergency mode and with the lg logo on the screen but when i install the kdz it stucks for a while and says phone was not found something like that. i downloaded odin but dont know how to use it. i also have a 2 gb external sd. i would really appreciate it if you could guys help me. if my phone is dead forever my parents will kill me though im having some hopes. sorry for being so talky i wanted to explain everything... ty
Don't be afraid brother It happened on my mobile thousand of times so I solve it by flashing rom using ADT (android download tool)
Just download any ADT custom rom for ur device search it on Google u will surly find it
The u can go back on ur recovery method for flashing roms .....
Works 110% on every device

after trying to install beats audio my lg p710 has bricked, I performed an hard reset (vol down, power, home) but still it won't go to the setup wizard. I can only turn it off by removing the battery.
I have very little knowledge of android but for what I've understand I need to put the phone in download mode and flash the entire stock firmware.
Can you guys help me? I haven't found guides about this phone since it's quite new.
English is not my first language but I hope it's understandable.

Have you read or search int other section of this forum?? maybe you may try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2284822 but DO WITH YOUR OWN RISK.
I think the method more or less similiar,the different just about the STOCK FIRMWARE,choose for your model here http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=21.
Don't forget for driver here http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/client/app/B2CAppSetup.exe.
You can read more in the bottom section from the thread i've said above in the "UNROOTING OR FLASHING STOCK FIRMWARE", don't forget to use firmware for your phone model.
emergency mode=(When phone is off) hold the volume "down" and insert the USB cable (Will Have Yellow Screen)

Done! Thanks, problem solved. I flashed the stock firmware and everything now is working again. Good thing that emergency mode still worked.

my lg l7 p715 stay in bootanimation cuz i was a fool, i deleted a file system so now it just stay in boot animation... i know i have to flash it with kdz but i couldnt install the drivers cuz the phone does not start... i tried with the yellow screen... what can i do??? i was looking for something but i just found this post... i am not sure what to do... whats better for doing this, xp or win7?? thx for everything :good:

Hello. I recently put a custom ROM on my D605 that didn't work very well so I returned to the stock. Unfortunately, after an update, the phone bricked and can't get past the CWM menu. I'm stuck in recovery. I tried wiping all the cache and data and installing another ROM but that didn't fix it. Any ideas what might help?

I needed D60520b_00.kdz, but i downloaded HUN(Europe/HU/Hungary) version D60520h_00.kdz and it seemed to work for my phone. Now it is alive after 5 mouths!
Try to kdz-flash this phone, my old one l7II was in the same condition after battery popped out while updating in recovery
(i was searching for something under my desk and i accidentaly pulled power cord connected to phone, so it fell off my desk). After flash phone was not turning on at all, but i connected charger and charged it to 100%, then everything was fine.
I have also bricked device and i cant find anywhere kdz file to download.phone restart in Emergency mode and recovery.
Please don't lie that there is no ROM in kdz file for your smartphone... Here You have the best website (in my opinion) to search for LG firmware:

Put your phone in Emergency Mode, then try to recovery with LG MOBILE SUPPORT TOOLS.
It´s less complicated, only need to installa the drivers and have a internet conexion.
