You've been here longer than most of us LOL, you should know that answer is "NEVER"!
If ur on a custom ROM it'll likely fail out as it checks a bunch of app files to see if they have been messed with. Follow the thread in the dev section I created as virus and joey r n there discussing it some.

That eng bootloader with s-off is old. We can't replace our current bootloaders with it until there's a way to get s-off and flash the eng bootloader(in which we wouldn't need that eng bootloader anyway). Congrats to the lucky person with a dev device but unless he writes his own recovery, he can't do anything with it.

We have had few phones with s-off already. This is the first one with 1.40 though. As nice as this is for the person who has it, i doubt it will do anything for us. We already have s-off (not public released) and we already have eng-bootloaders from s-off devices. Thanks anyway.

Im not holding my breath for this, however, I was hoping either A) He has the Smartcard in the device still or B) The private key is on the sdcard or somewhere on the phone.
you debbie downers need to chill. He could very well have some files on the SD card that could help. you never know.

That shows sprint and Motorola see the potential in the photon and want to continue making it better. Get us the DROID 3 blur and i'll be a happy camper.
I like the os that came with this phone. It doesn't really feel that bloated. Honestly it feels a lot like the vanilla gb rom I ram on my shift, just without the full customization

I have an EVO 3d with hboot 1.50 and I canonot flash kernels with and. Any ideas ? If anybody else has questions about the 3d, you should ask here. Maybe we can all help each other. Extract the boot.img from the kernel zip and flash it in fastboot mode "fastboot flash boot boot.img".

I got that a second ago, on another thread. I think there must be a system glitch.
Go to the 3D section, then q&a and in the app hit the stickies at the top and it will be listed there.

My htc evo 4g lte is S ON but unlocked with the htc unlocker, can anyone suggest a rom I could flash with this setup Ive tried jellybam but it didnt work?

For s-on Mikey has been the go to dev. He gives a lot of support to users that are s-on
You can use any ROM while S-On. I know, because I tried them. You can use fastboot with a computer for using the Flash Image GUI app (my preference) and flash the kernel by loading the rom's zip file. Use the search feature on xda and YouTube for better instructions.
Long story short, you're not restricted to Sense Roms as you might want to assume.

I'd say viper 4g, my 1st custom ROM and I was s on, lots if customizing. Tried mean bean after being in cm10, only to do pro update, and didn't like it like viper 4g. Although I hate sense period lol
