Is there any unsecured kernal support this rom to root ?
Without using CWM ?
If I rooted with SuperOneClick with compatible insecured kernel, Yellow triangle and Reset counter actions possible with Flashing back stock kernel and download mode jig ?

I used XXK14 insecure and rooted with S2 Root. Afterwards I flashed back stock kernel with Odin

Root with CF-Root kernel for KI8 then flash back to the stock kernel. You'll maintain root but lose the CWM Recovery menu. You'll have stock recovery, stock kernel and no yellow triangle.

thank you, I will try and post the result

i have the same version as the one you mentioned in your post

PDA: I9100JPKJ2
PHONE: I9100XXKI4

and i searched for insecured kernel but i didnt know which one to use
and then i tried this script (DooMLoRD_v1_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su.zip)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1312859
i replaced zergRush file with the latest versions before running the batch
https://github.com/downloads/revolutionary/zergRush/zergRush.zip
and it rooted the device in less than 3 minutes with no problem at all (running titanium, rom manager or any app that require root)
but i faced one problem when using ROM Manager (ClockWorkMod 4.0.1.5) to do a Backup current ROM (from Rom Manager or by booting into Recovery)
I get the following message:
-- Installing package...
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted.
don't know if doing soft-root is the problem and i have to do hard-root to make CWM work
any way just wanted to share my experience with you
regards

Thanks man it worked like a charm
btw where is that +1 button? I can't seem to find it

another way to root is using SuperOneClick v2.2 since now it have the zergRush exploit
so it will work also
Just extract SuperOneClick 2.2, run it and click Root
(I test it on same device after unrooting it and it worked perfectly)

Yes you can, but for this you need Root.
In rooted phone, just delete the unwanted applications (caution advised) by using root explorer and deleting the apks in /system/apps

pick the correct cf root kernel from my signature link if u are looking for method to root your phone
in a single flashing you will get Rooting and CWM
for JPKJ2 use this kernel, flash it from PDA section of the ODIN after unzipping to TAR file
read Gides for flashing files from ODIN...
http://download.chainfire.eu/48/CF-Root/SGS2/CF-Root-SGS2_XW_XEF_KJ2-v4.4-CWM4.zip?retrieve_file=1

Jpkj2 can also be rooted using super one click using zergrush.
Counter will not bee added and you will not get yellow triangle

1 Cfroot
2 Root without insecure kernel.
I use Odin, but had a lot of difficulties reseting the yellow triangle after, so I bought the triangle away app. (You don't have to b/c it is free at XDA). Now if you find Oneclick method easier, then go for it.

I have the same xwlp7 and rooted and install cm9.
Google xwlp7 u will easily find insecure kernel for it.
U can watch some movies on YouTube to learn it first and get comfortable. Video from galaxys2root.com is good.
If u want to put custom rom then buying rom manager app is the safest and easiest way.

if you have GB then u can use doomlord root toolkit, then you can find the cf root kernel needed to match your kernel, extract till just a zImage, download InitialCFRootFlasher.zip and installed zImage manually that will give you root and cwm, then install mobile odin and away you go with out increasing binary counter. if you are on ICS then there is a thread somewhere on here for rooting ics other than cf root.
InitialCFRootFlasher.zip you unzip it then put you zImage in the insert zImage here folder then click the rooted option
But with this method read read READ, and dont use wrong CF zImage or you will be flashing firmware via odin tofix it

I didnt say anything about flashing new kernel, i told you a way of minipulating kernel you have without using insecure kernel and without yellow triangle, only talked about mobile odin for your plans after, but if you trying not to void warrenty and keeping binary count as it is you will need mobile odin to flash original kernel if you ever want to remove cwm, once it is in its hard to remove without replacing kernel. I see someone already gave u link for ics rooting. i read between the lines of OP there is normally only one reason people worry about binary count.
Ps also triangle away app is suppose to reset binary count anyway but never bothered with it myself. every thing i told you about can also be undone without increasing binary count to

ICS 4.0.3 Official karenl after root make me lose the root privilege ?

Hi
Jus updated to ICS 4.0.3 from GB 2.3.5
Like I used to do , root device then install the official karenl to get rid of the yellow triangel, while still having the root .
In ICS I did the same , I can access to root system files and folders , using Titanum backup no problem , but when accessing the CWM it tells me that I don't have proper root , tried to use another app reauire root , it tells me that my device does not have root privilege , when I installed the rooted karenel , they work fine .
This move used to work fine under Ginger bread , accessing to CWM after using official karenel over root.
Official updated karenl : I9100 XXLPF
Root karenel : I9100 XWLPF
Reinstalled offical karnel : I9100 XWLPF
Any idea ?
Thanks.
Use cf-root LPF. Should work fine.

I didn't ask about which kerenl I should use , I already used LPF , the idea from installing the offical kernel back is to
get rid of yellow triangle.
Guess , I'm on my own...
if u wanna get rid of the yellow triangle u can do this by 2 ways:
1) flash stock kernel then download the custom kernel .zip u want and extrazt the zImage from that .zip file and install zImage file via cwm app in your app drawer
2) or simply if you're on ICS then use trinagle away v 1.70 by chainfire link :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494114
( normal apk , of course needs root , normal install and it will reset ur flash counter and remove the annoying yellow triangle and keep u rooted )
Oh great ! The first methode worked perfectly , now I have my stock kernel with root privilege
hmmm...I have to exract the image to flash it, I feel kinda stupid xD
Thanks alot

Enquiry about ROOT for Galaxy SIII

Dears,
I would like to ask how to root my Samsung SIII with stock rom. Just wish to that the mobile device is smoother, battery efficient and power saving. I read some thread and slightly understand the step, first download ODIN and install it into pc. Second, put CF-ROOT into the TAR column. Meanwhile, I also found FRANCO for kernel. So, what should I do??
The other things will be, the same stuff above can be use in Samsung galaxy SII as well?
Thanks and pending the response.

Flash it with pda button in odin
Then press volume up and power button to go recovery mode
Then install superSU with install zip from sdcard option
Done.
You can set root privilages in supersu program
*search more carefully and do it with your responsibility

Using CF root you will still be able to get official updates through Kies no problem, u just need to run cf root again after an official update. OTA updates I dont use anyway but just to be safe dont try and install OTA updates as the usually seem to fail. If the phone notifies u of a ota update just hook up kies and get it.
If you plan to install other root kernels I cant advice as I only use cf root.
CF-Root is a stock-kernel with Root enabled, so if you want to increase "smoothness" and battery saving, then you're on the wrong kernel since it behaves exactly like stock.
I can recommend Siyah kernel. You don't even need to use CF-Root to root your device before, since it already comes with a Odin-flashable version and auto-installs root.

As long as the ROM & CSC are correct you can update a rooted phone through Kies, as far as I am not wrong, whereas you will loose root and have to re-root. What is not working is the OTA update if you are rooted.
Hence the easiest solution is to download the ROM via sammobile or XDA and flash it via Odin or better Mobile Odin (to keep root).

As I mentioned, Mobile Odin is the easiest way as you just select the rom and it flashes incl. root injection. For Odin, simply download the rom you would like to flash (e.g. stock rom from sammobile or prerooted from XDA's general section), and follow the usual steps (e.g. there are easy videos to follow on YouTube & there are many guides in the general section). If you chose to flash a rom that is not yet rooted you will need to flash CF-Auto-Root of CF-Root again.

there are two ways:
(1) Odin (desktop version): if you flash a stock rom (normal version, not rooted), it will be not rooted, hence you have to root again
(2) Mobile Odin (Adroid Play Store): if you flash a stock rom (normal version, not rooted), you have an option to inject root and directly root it in the process of flashing the rom

[Q] How to re-root once MK6 4.3 installed

OK, think I must be being a little bit blind around the forum, but cannot seem to locate how and links to perform a root once I update to 4.3
I'm running 4.1.2 and am currently rooted (I used CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4 since forever and always seems to work), which seemed to work fine on 4.1.2. However, reading all over the place about rooting being different on 4.3, but as I said, just cannot seem to find links and info on how to do it on the latest
I know I can easily install the 4.3 update using ODIN to replace 4.1.2, but would then like to re-root once this has been done
Any help and links much appreciated
Cheers

Do you have Knox in 4.3? Does rooting trip the Knox flag?

Hi, i installed Imperium v23.2 today and when i tried to use Titanium backup it failed to load because there is no SU binary?
so i rooted my device again using CF Root V6.4 and the same problem presented, i uninstalled SuperSU updated it and no luck.
Any advice?
My Device is SG3 GT i9300 international version.
Sort it out
I found the answer and worked in this thread:
