[Q] how to change A2DP bitpool? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi, i have a galaxy II and Nokia BH-214 Bluetooth handsfree. everything works great, but the quality is poor. I read that you can change bitpool but I do not know how. I read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=708265 but it did not help me because I do not know what to do

Assuming you are rooted, use Root Explorer and navigate to /system/lib/ and make a backup of the file liba2dp.so
Download file A from this post,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16220448&postcount=12
rename it to liba2dp.so and use root explorer to replace the original one in /system/lib. Reboot
Now see if you feel any difference. If things are worse, replace the original file that was backed up, reboot!

it's a little better, but still it can not compare with the quality as Nokia 5230 or Samsung Star .. thanks.

Yes, I have it on mine. I could not copy the file via TC, so I just copied it and went to the Windows directory and pasted it in. You will have to do a soft reset, but it works perfectly.
Verizon
Will this work for Verizon as well? Will it help the speakerphone too? I REALLY would like the speakerphone to be MUCH louder!
Thanks!

Here you go. Just extract the file and copy it directly to the Windows folder and do a soft resest. Do not use Total Commander to copy the file, I have had problems with it that way. Copy it from TC or any file explorer, then navigate to the \Windows directory and copy in the root of that directory.
"I am not sure who the real credit goes to for making this file, but I did obtain it at ppcgeeks.com"
WOW!
That worked GREAT! It is MUCH louder now! Thank you for you help!!!!!
You could also try SRSwowHD. It stopped working on WM6.1 on my Mogul, but it works beautifully on the Touch Pro.
If you try it, just make sure you select the headphones setting and slide the center setting to 100%
Access is Denied
First time posting.
I'm trying to copy and paste but an error message appears "Cannot copy "AudioPara3". Access is denied.
Can anyone help me, please?
Cab for audiopara3... it is the lighter version hope it helps... has done wonders for my fuze
Got it work - I think
The file is a zip file and I saved straight into a folder on the phone. I used the zip file program to place it within the windows folder and it certainly sounds louder than before.
Thanks for the help

This one worked well for me. A few other audiopara3 CSV files rendered my system speaker nearly useless...
where can I find the colored top bar for the sprint touch pro
I have tried both options with no success. Will apreciate any help. The first AudioPara 3 indicates me access denied and the lighter version just puts my speaker on a low front a just barely can hear music.
Audioparas can be funny..I had different results with 12 different audioparas..
And now when one of them has worked on my SEX1i, it stops working once I use and plug out my headphone...
Am still looking for an audiopara that will work for me..hehe

[Q] Witch "Camera mod" to choose?

Hello, this is my first post on XDA
in the "Development" section I've read about a camera mod: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1104051.
It add some good feature to the camera stock app like:
Records Audio in 192kbps/44.1Khz quality (CD Quality) rather than stock (64kbps/16khz quality)
Increased Video Bitrate in 1080 and 720p modes* (See 2nd post for info and download link for this version)
I would to try this hack, but I am confused on witch APK to download and use, the Potatoman and the hyperX-'s release are identical or not?
i believe there is only one mod as of right now. The mod you posted above is based off of the original and does nothing but improve the camera. Safe to say this is THE mod to use my friend!

Thank you!
So I can download the modded APK from here without problems? Is it THE mod?
You can dl it from here or glash one of the fantastic roms that have it included.
Now I am trying to install the camera hack on my phone, I renamed the original Camera.apk in Campera.apk.bak and copied the hacked Camera.apk in /system/app, but when I try to execute it to install, the installation starts but it ends with message "Application not installed", why?
What'is my error?
I use Root Explorer...
You don't have to install it after copying to system/app, just copy, then set permissions correct and reboot..

Thank you, now I try, but witch are the correct permissions?!?
EDIT: I set permissions to rx-r--r-- like the original app, now it seems work!
I recorded a video at 720p with the hacked Camera.apk, I controlled media info with VLC and with Windows Explorer "Property->Details" tab, the value they show are 11880 kbps for the video bitrate and 16 kHz, 60 kbps, mono for audio. I think that there are the value for a video recorded with default app, or not?
Help pleaseee!!!
hey, i am trying to hack my camera too, how do you move the camera.apk to system/app if i have it in my file/download, thanks

Mount the filesystem in R/W mode (read and write), default setting is RO (read only), use the button in the upper side of the screen.
i know this step, i mean, how do you paste the .apk to system/app from the bluetooth folder in my file? because i use bluetooth to transfer the .apk into my phone, but i have no idea how to paste it into root explorer, seems like i can only move it around to those folders in my file. i know i am such a noob, sorry for asking so many silly questions.

You must navigate throught your phone's filesystem with Root Explorer, find the folder where the file Camera.apk is (I think it is /sdcard/bluetooth) copy the file and paste it in /system/app (all operation of copy/move/paste are possible with Root Explorer).
I hope I help you, I'm Italian and I'm not a native speaker of English...
i am not native english speaker either, haha
i am from Hong Kong
i am gonna try it, but i messed it up this afternoon and i had to reset everything on my phone lol because the camera didn't work

[Tutorial] Changing your bootanimation for SGH-I777 dummies

Took me hours of reading to figure out something extremely simple. But, hopefully this will save some of the smart people here from having to expend energy belittliing retarded noobs like me.
When I flashed to SHOstock's ICS 2.2.6 I missed the droid animation he had with his GB 1.9.4. So I went searching on how to change it back.
It's pretty simple. All you have to do is.....
1. Get a file explorer with root access. I use ES File Explorer
2. Download any of the custom ROMs in GSII Development
3. Unzip the ROM, open System>media folder. Find the bootanimation zip file and copy that to a folder of your choice on your phone.
4. On your phone, open your file explorer and allow it root folder read/write access
5. Navigate to System>media folder and backup the original bootanimation zip, in case you ever want to replace it.
6. Navigate back to where you put the custom bootanimation zip and copy and replace that zip into the media folder on your phone.
You're done.
If there was audio to the bootanimation it's the same copy and paste process. The .wav file should be located in System>etc. It's named "PowerOn". Once you move that over you may have to change the file permissions to RW--R--R.
To change permissions in ES File Explorer you long press the icon. It'll pull up an "Operations" drop down. Scroll to "Properties". Click "Change". Then make sure User: read/write is checked. Group: read. Other: read Then click ok.
If the sound doesn't work you may have to rename the PowerOn.wav to "PowerOn.ogg"
I'll try and answer any questions you may have but keep in mind i've only had this phone for less than two weeks. I've been lurking and studying on XDA for even less. But i'll do my best.
Remember, before asking questions, searching/reading the forums is your best option. I'm still a total novice but because of this wonderful place i've managed to root my phone, installed several different kernels and themes and flashed two different ROMS
You can also put the bootanimation.zip file in data/local. This way you will preserve your stock bootanimation file.
Sent from my SGH-I777
Hey I'm not sure if this is recommended but I didn't see any instructions specifically for disabling the bootsound. I did find the location of it in this post so I just removed it and my phone stopped making noises when it boot up. I'll report back if any weird issues start happening.

Should be ok. Because if the animation didn't have sound to begin with the .wav file wouldn't be there.
Props to chetan_mohanty for the bootanimations.
Most of the links to the ba's are down but the MassEffect one is still active.

[Q] Galaxy Avant Volume Hack

im not gonna pretend i know how to navigate this forum at all but i wanted to share this file for the galaxy avant users. for those of us who actually want a smaller phone. im sure an admin will put this in its place. this will probally also be my last upload.
last night i followed a tutorial on how to hack the volume of the galaxy s4 and i found that this also works on the galaxy avant, but instead of changing speaker rx7, its speaker rx4. i also realize that, so far, i could not find the mixer path file already uploaded for the avant in case someone screws up like i did last night while rooting my new phone. from the old phone this is my mixer path file that was already hacked and working great. you can adjust volumes lower to restore your broken file back to stock, or just download this file and replace the old one with the high volume ready to go.

Thank you for the volume hack. Works great on stock avant rom. Just heads up it would be best to tell people where to put the mixer file.
First people download file and extract then copy and paste and rewrite permission to rw-r-r. File will be located under /system the /etc folder.
Just a heads up for those that didn't know.
Ty again Def boost volume like crazy Ty

you need to root your phone
You only need custom recovery to do this. Having your device rooted is not necessary. I used Orange Fox to replace the files and permissions were already set properly (though you can change that as well if needed). Just go there first to make your vendor partition RW-able and then follow this guide using Orange Fox or TWRP file explorer. I'm on stock global 12.0.8 BTW.

My phone is Poco X3 Pro. And this file is not in the root directory. I wonder which file corresponds to this file? Will it be valid if I change the name and overwrite it? Or is it possible for you to prepare a suitable file for my system? Thank you.
