[Q] Controlling touch screen with another device - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know of an app that can control th screen of another android device, I want to use an android device linked via hdmi to screen for tv & games, and use either another android phone or controller to link to the other phone to control from couch etc.
I have tried Droidmote, but it is no good for games as the touch screen client does not work when the game loads. But general stuff like loading browser does ?????
Are there any devices or apps that can control the touch screen element in games especially 3d shooters as it seems like the holy grail but I cant find it.
Thanks.

[Q] Is it possible to create a real anti-theft software?

We have tons of Anti-Theft apps in Android market, all of them do more or less the same thing - track and report your lost / stolen phone's location, disable features or lock the phone remotely. All of them are apps running on Android and will not function if the someone manages to flash a new ROM onto the phone.
Is there a possibility to have a real anti-theft software running in our phones? By this it means the software should not be running as an Android app, but may be on a higher level, and it should stay and run all the time irrespective of whatever a stolen phone will possibly undergo. I guess it is nearly impossible to create a software like this, unless and until there is some level of hardware support which can't be easily replaced or tampered with.
Curious to hear from the experts in this section.
I searched the forum for such a question but in vain - Mods, please move/delete this if it has been discussed in some other thread already.

[Q] Child lock all apps but whats on homescreen(s) ?

Didn't find anything like what i need at this moment.
My galaxy Tab gets abused by my daughter messing with non-game apps and settings, very recently to the point of factory reset...
So my question: how do i lock out everything except for whats on desktop/homescreen... preferably without changing launcher/theme.
(Block use of 16-square icon/button, which takes you to app list/folder)
Currently my Tab is on Overcome Kratos 3.1.0.
Help ???
try an app on the marketplace called Kid Mode. I use it for my nephew and neices with my nexus s. It has some games it comes with but you can add any otherones you want to it as well. they can only run what you specify and and can't leave the app without a pin/password. Works pretty well.

I use CleverLock - Free at Google Playstore
You can create your child his/her own home screen. I use CleverLock at Google PlayStore. It is free and simple way to choose the apps that my child can only access. I can also set the number of minutes that my daughter can play before my Samsung Galaxy S2 automatically locks. This is to limit her play time in my device.
Child Proof Gadget-Child Lock
A new app is there in google play store. It is also useful if your kid is playing with your android phone. It has all required features, with this its size is very small and it is harmless for your phone. It locks phones homescreen, calls, sms, settings everything which you don't want to allow the kid. it has a facility to create separate 'kid area', where kid can access only allowed apps.

Disable Android Marked localization

Hi,
i finally recently updated from WM6.5 to Android phone, but i have found one EXTREMELY frustrating thing. When i view Top Apps in android market, they are relevant to my location (Czech Republic). There are apps for local TV, local Czech games, etc. I hate being discriminated just because i was born in this $#!thole, and having low quality Czech content among top apps in Android market.
Is there any way to make android market worlwide, so i know what apps are popular around the world, not just this deep dirty corner of the earth i live in?
Thank you in advance.

Help with video editing

Hi.
Anyone knows an Andorid app that can put small 2nd video on top of the main video, like in time 0:57 in this video ?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mO3s1ilcF1Q
anyone can help ?
I could be wrong but I don't think there's an Android app that has the functionality you're looking for. You're probably better off importing the clips you want onto your computer and using a more advanced editor that supports multiple tracks.
OK.
Can you reccomend a software that can do that ?
Are you on Windows or Mac?
For Windows, the most basic is Windows Movie Maker, but I haven't worked with that in years and I doubt it has multiple track support. (You might want to give it a shot anyways since it's a free download.) You'll probably want to check out Adobe Premiere. It might seem a bit complicated at first but it's very powerful and you can do pretty much anything you want in it.
If you're on Mac, I think iMovie would do the job just fine. If not, Premiere can also run on a Mac and of course there's Final Cut.
Hope this helps!
I use camtasia for simple projects and Sony Vegas for more advanced editing.
Very true, camtasia is a really application for desktop and simple video editing. I use it for creating tutorials.

Play Store hijacking focus after dialog - bug?

anyone know what could be done about this?
basically if the Play Store app is still running in the background - which is going to be the case for most users once they first download and install the app - after interaction with any in-app purchase-related dialog box the Play Store is brought back into focus and users must make there way back to the app to complete tasks. how can this be prevented?
reported this a s a bug: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=32878
it has been noticed that a similar app does not launch Google Play as a separate process at the point of sale, but ours does. could this be a factor and/or is Google Play being launched an undesired action, result of a coding error?
