I think you can flash it like OS, you can use TGdownloader and sdll+.exe . Ask someone that have J-tag box to test it...

I try flash my device using sd but i dont have this option in my bootloader..
You should be able to upgrade your device using the HimaUpgradeUt program. See my post here for information on what to look out for, etc.
I think thats is not good way because i cant connect my device to pc using activesync.. i have only bootloader mode on my xda..
That doesn't matter, the upgrade doesn't need Activesync. It looks after its own connections.
I just connect my xda in bootloader mode to usb. The activesync not saw may device but i run HimaUpgradeUt.exe and my device start upgrade! I have Germany ROM now i upgrade this To same English ROM.. Before i do this that way program show mi error 102.. now its look like everthing be good.. we will see for 5 minutes.

That's OK. As long as the PC said 'Congratulations' its all done. Take your device out the cradle, hard reset it and it will run the standard setup.

to dcs: I'm now upgading my o22'Rom from v2.06 to 2.20 (translated frm chinese --> english). after I completed fixing country ID, I have a new erro (erro102: CE image file checksum erro. the Rom image file to be used for the update is corrupt). I try to download again and update but I fail, the erro is 102. please show me hoe to pass this erro.

I have a problem with my Prophet and he needs to go to the factory..i need to install wm5 ,i have a wm6 rom and when i downgrade to wm5, the pda goes to bootloader and appears the following window:

if u are in Bootloader mode the one in three color mode.. U can downgrade surely with PDA viet temp.
In Boot loader mode just reconnect your device to pc through USB . and launch the PDA VIET program..
It should be work.

try flashing NVID wm5 when in bootloader. if you were successfull flash HardSPL and after that you original ROM!
First, disable any firewall
Put the prophet in bootloader (3-clored screen) by pushing CAM button and punching the reset hole at the bottom. When you realease the stylus, the colors should appear.
Then, before connecting your prophet to the PC, first DISable the "Allow USB connection" option in the connectionsettings box of ActiveSync.
After that connect the bootloadermoded Prophet to your PC, it conects as an ordinairy USB device. Then run the RUU of your choice.
probably the better idea is to send a snapshot of your display in fault mode.
do that with a camera. it could be useful to identify the state of your error.
i'm not skilled but here you can find a pool of powerfull developers.

When you put your hermes to bootloader, and you plug in usb cable, if the text changes to usb then you should be able to be able to flash any ROM. If you try flashing with SD card, it will work if you can get it to boot loader.
you not read all my post why i ask this because:
I WANT TO UnBrick the Bricked Hermes with "SPL 2.03 - IPL 1.04 - NO GSM - KITL Disabled"
There are many people have this kind of brick but still no solution for it.
I want to ask the mods to make this thread sticky so if anyone find a sulotion for this type of brick would post it Here.

CID: NO SUPER CID LEVEL=FFF
NO GSM
KITL Disabled
I have tested all the possible sulotions available in the wiki but none of the could help me unbrick my hermes.

Hello...I have problems with my 6815(with german winmob5) i can´t change the bootloader from this.
i want try to flash a new rom ( this one 3.02.02 from NHOCBANME) with computer and sd-card, now i see that i have the wrong booltloader to flash the ppc, i load the original file from HP, but the procedure brokken (windows 7 on machine (disconnect from ppc))now I don´t know what can I make.
please help me

i found out that several people encountered problem with changing bootloader.
i also found out that there is suggestion that this problem is connected to NAND memory bad blocks. So, as i understand it, phone can work well on wm6 or wm6.5 without problem ,but in process of upgrading bootloader may come to light bad sectors and in extreme situation upgrading to such a corupted NAND, can cause dead phone.
But is it for sure problem with bad blocks in NAND memory ?
Isn't it a too common problem ? Maybe the method which we use in some cases will cause a problem ?
In my case i used Mirolg guide and i didn't try another method(Nokser guide is no longer available due to missing files).
With Mirolg guide, when i'm trying upgrade bootloader to wp7bootloader with tg downloader, i get checksum error on 99% while verifying FOTA .
From this moment i can upload wp7 rom ,but after that phone won't start.
And i can go back to wm6.5 bootloader and then upload wm6.5 ROM without problem.
And phone works fine with wm 6.5
So, i have few questions.
Someone, have files which are needed to proceed Nokser method 1 and 2 ?
Anyone know is there a way to check NAND memory for bad sectors ?(for example with mtty) - i just want to confirm that my upgrading problem is caused by bad blocks
NAND chip has bad blocks.This can't erase use riff jtag box!
Depending if these blocks contain no data, or it holds something important, phone may work or no.
If these blocks contain no data or not important,it may work!
If these blocks contain important data,it may not work!

you can Search my Posts ,
If you upload wp7 rom successfu ,but won't start,you may flash all file,all mbn and bin.(NPRG8650.hex /partition.mbn /dbl.mbn /dsp1.mbn /fsbl.mbn /osbl.mbn /amss.mbn /apps.mbn(0) /appsboot.mbn /flash.bin .etc)
You can use ZTEiT Common downloader or other tool (qpst / acer euu etc..)

Now to my problem, after flashing the boot loader checksum error occurs.
I have an almost new TG01 by orang Switzerland, I do not think it's broken.
Winmobil 6.5 is no problem to flash.

by mentioning two ways of upgrading ,are you talking about this:
"1. wm6 to wp7 bootloader
Short pin 1,3 or 0321rom Camera+Power ,on Download mode,use TG-Downloader

In other words one method is to short pins
and second method is 0321rom Camera+Power
Or i overlooked this another method of upgrading bootloader in your posts?
Is there a way to format or test NAND without JTAG ?
