Toshiba Thrive Games and Asus Super Note App APKs...these work on the Jetstream - HTC Jetstream

I installed the games and the Super Note apps and they work well!!! The other things require root, though...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16375235

Good find.

Thanks abunch

Are you sure? I installed the games and they wouldn't start because jetstream doesn't have the Nvidia processor.

Yep, worked for me....even before I rooted my Jetstream.

ChainFire 3D

Has anyone tried running that on their flyer? It might help gameloft games and other games "optimized" for nVidia Tegra like Shadowgun, which I admit looks pretty awesome.
Yes, for sure it works perfectly on Flyer. But you must buy Chainfire3D pro and install the plugin required.

Gameloft support? Currently all GL games 99 cents

One of the main reason I bought the device is for gaming. It seems a lot of the gameloft games ive purchased previously is not compatible with this device. When do you think we're cooking to see gameloft supports this device? I really wanna try modern combat 3 on this thing specially

Approximately in 2012....or never. They didn't support the original TF so they may very well continue the trend.

Wow I didn't know they didn't support the original TF. I hope this isn't the case for the prime. I don't wanna have to return it.

I'd hold off as development for the tegra 3 is still sorta new...tegra 2 really has just come into its own recently.
If you look at the Tegra zone games...there are a few coming out soon that look pretty decent...and a few out now that are nice if your willing to pay.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately though I don't want to buy the games again. At least not from gameloft site like I used to. I've been buying them from the market so I can download them to any of my device. Just sad to see prime not being compatible.
Honestly, and I'll probably be burned for this, if gaming was your focus behind purchasing a tablet, you should have gone with an Ipad 2. They have an unmatched collection of games, a lot of which are pretty damn top notch.
MC3 works fine with my prime...
Before ordering my prime, I had a Tegra 2 (a500) tablet, and I had purchased a couple of Gameloft titles that worked fine. I hope these can cary over to the prime! (If Tegra 2 Gameloft titles work, then Tegra 3 should too?) just a thought!

Don't tease and please share how you did it. I can't root so changing build prop is not an option for me.

Why couldn't you just take the apk from your old device and transfer it over to the prime? It should install fine.
thats the first thing i did. Its not that it wont install but it'll say not compatible with my device. And these are games that were made for Acer a500 that works on my Acer a100. I changed my build prop to make market think I have an a500. Both Tegra 2 devices.
gameloft would be smart to make games work with the prime and tegra 3, stupid company move if they dont in my opinion
I heard a while back that Gameloft somehow ties the install to the device, and that the same APK cannot be installed more than once ? Maybe it does some sort of authentication against their server? Try getting them to give you a clean download of the title you payed for and see if that works on the prime.

I just tried the same thing with Asphault6 HD. it doesn't show up in marketplace on the prime. I have it on my Atrix4g. I emailed myself the apk to the prime. it installed and everything but once I launched the game, it said it wasn't compatible with my device and to request a refund..SMH
its only a matter of time. they supported tegra2, my atrix, so they should eventually update to support tegra3 or Prime. hopefully as I find gameloft games usually the best. aside from epic and EA. is Rage HD out for Android? love that game on my Ipad.

Maybe. However this are games I bought from the market ie. MC3, asphalt6, backstab. And some free ones like Brothers in Arms, Lets golf 3. So trying to get a new download from market wont work since they dont show up in the first place in my Prime.

I agree but they still dont 100% support tegra 2 devices. For example the original Transformer prime only has certain games available. And they are old ones like spiderman, OG dungeon hunter, NOVA 1st one. And I think 1 more.
Then on my acer a100 its also limited thats why I had to change the build.prop to make market think I have an a500. Again these are both tegra 2 devices and most tablets currently run tegra2 only. So I dont see them supporting tegra 3. Just device specific.

Gaming on the Transformer Prime (my take)

So, I received my TF Prime on christmas evening I have personally never owned a tablet but have had several Android Devices and was able to play your typical puzzle and tower defense games on them without any problems besides slight performance issues. I mainly wanted the Prime for the gaming and I can honestly say this thing can handle anything I have thrown at it.
I first downloaded a bunch of classics, like Cut the Rope, Angry Birds, PvZ, and as expected they ran smooth as silk and looked better than ever on the Super IPS display. Next I loaded up some emulators, Mame, NES, Genesis, Super Nintendo they all ran excellent.
Then it was time to really see what the Tegra 3 could do, so I tried the Glowball Demo and RipTide Demo and was pretty impressed both game ran smooth and looked and sounded great, super easy controls. I needed to see more. I purchased ShadowGun from the Nvidia Tegra Zone app and was completely floored Visually and performance wise I couldn't believe I was playing this on a tablet, Console quality graphics smooth performance and most importantly fun! If this is any indication of the type of games and performance I can expect from the TF Prime and the Tegra 3 I am 100% satisfied with this tablet Anyone who is on the fence about getting the TF Prime and want to use it for gaming don't be, just get it. You will be happy you did I am content with my TF now and with ICS coming down the road things will only get better.

I'm pretty sure they don't cause gameloft hate Asus.
(why else their game aren't made available for the original Transformer ?
I'm sure Gameloft games will become available to use on prime. there will always be wrkarounds. plus we still great games like teg3 version of Dead Space and more to be released. check out my thread in themes and apps section of prime. its called Prime/Tegra3 Gamers thread. we list what's known to be working so far and more. there's alot of great games out for Android already. coming from using my Ipad, I was surprised at how much Android had. initially I was worried cuz I have all the best games on my Ipad and feared Android would severely be lacking. not the case at all. Android is catching up in the games department and have some really good ones out there. Tegra3 version of Shadowgun owns my Ipad version, which looks great also.
I played Shadow Gun THD at gamestop (my ATP comes tomorrow) and it was crazy how detailed and smooth the game was! If they can get more support for optimized games who knows how many incredible games we'll see!
While shadowgun is amazing and stunning my favorite is riptide
I too purchased the prime for gaming mostly and was very pleased when playing the available games. But I'm disappointed that gameloft games are not available for the prime. It is Gamelofts fault but end result is still can't play it. I think Dead Space is the same since I couldnt find it in the Market either.
Once root is available you can probably change build.prop to make market think you have a different device but that will prevent you from seeing tegra 3 optimized games so youd have to switch back and forth between two build.prop. But still this isnt guaranteed games will still work correctly.

Dead Space is offically coming to Android. The tegra3 version. not released yet, I believe. A couple people said they had it already but its not tegra3 version n more than likely a hacked version.
How ease it to hook up the PS3/360 controller via blue tooth with TP. No way I'm playing games like Dead Space with a touch screen.
ps3 controller is compatible natively through BT on the prime, the xbox controller needs to be plugged in via usb (which means you need the dock) to work, but it also natively supported that way.
the games also have to have gamepad support enabled, which shadowgun (iirc) does.

I think by prime having better battery life, a fifth core, best.display, and a beefier gpu from.Nvidia, it just might be. Of course the vita will be strictly game focused plus backing of Sony. so prime would probably produce better looking games since more powerful. the vita is no slouch also but you have to remember two different platforms. vital will have strictly games for it, mostly. prime will have some of everything and as time passes there will be alot of great games optimized for tegra3. the vita does look cool though. I had the original PSP when it first came out. I loved it. I have a good feeling the vita will be a hit considering how powerful it is and the great visuals, compared to other handhelds, it can produce.

NVIDIA Shield Tablet-- Should I buy it?

I was looking and I got to know about the NVIDIA Shield Tab.. It has the latest Nvidia processor: NVIDIA K1. And all specs are good. I wanted to know that is it worth it? I am a gamer and My Acer Iconia Tab A700 doesn't run some heavy games smoothly. For example, FiFA 14, Need For Speed Most Wanted and many more. Plus its RAM is always about 80% occupied...
Thanks in advance...

From the information I've seen on the device it's shaping up to be an excellent device, with top of the line performance at a very reasonable price. It will run all your games smoothly, plus it has support for all of Nvidia's extra features such as game streaming, and the stylus is supposed to be one of the best out there. Considering the A700 is over 2 years old if your looking to upgrade the Shield Tablet is shaping up to be a great choice. For future reference all device advice, and what should I buy discussion should be asked in this thread .

If your looking to upgrade from your old A700, I would say it is definitely worth it. It is not only a very very good tablet, but is also a good gaming tablet with many features. It's mostly stock android, and it runs smooth as hell. I just got mine yesterday and I have yet to see it lag or stutter with any thing that I do with it. If your worried about it being only 16GB, don't be. So far everything that I have installed on it, I have been allowed to move to my SD card. That's the good thing about his tablet, it's not like most devices with KitKat 4.4 , where moving apps to the SD card is very limited. Nvidia has done a good job at making it a necessity to move things to the SD card considering its core focus is gaming. Be aware though in order to stream PC games, your desktop or laptop has to have a minimum of a GTX 650 video card. I have the shield portable as well, so I was already good to go in that department. For the price IMO you cannot go wrong. It is both a good tablet and a good portable gaming rig. You really can't go wrong.
What he ^ said. This tablet is hella bangin for the price.
Yes you should, just like I should...
Hope this clarifies everything

It's a nice piece of technology
Love the Tablet
So i have had the Shield Tablet for 2 weeks. The thing is a beast. Not only does it play games well on the tablet itself, its ability to put the tablet screen up on my HD tv via HDMI is a nice perk. It allows me to play titan fall in my house on any TV. The thing is just a beast it powers through anything i have thrown at it so far.

Is there any root app similar to chainfire 3d for android N?

Found out that my phone is 300 points better than shield tablet in 3dmark on ice storm extreme unlimited, and now i'm sorta tempted to root my note 8 to make it run tegra only games.
But the problem is that chainfire 3d which actually works only works on way older androids. Is there any other root apps that can allow me to run tegra games? Got borderlands 2 installed just for fun, but crashes at launch instantly for obvious reasons.
