[Q] Change Layout - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I use the CyanogenMod on my Samsung Galaxy S2.
I want to edit the System Settings Layout/View.
When I open Settings I can see a Category named "CyanogenMod".
How can I create my own Category or delete some categorys?
Which Files I have to edit?
Is it even possible to edit a System View/Layout?
regards

[Q] Where are home screen shortcuts stored?

Hi. I'm running rooted KitKat on Sam Galaxy Note GT-N7000. Can anybody tell me where the home screen shortcuts are stored?
Reason I'm asking is that whenever I update ES File Explorer, my file shortcuts get renamed to "ES Note Editor" etc., and I have to manually recreate them in order to get the filenames back. I reckon I could probably write a little script to do that if I knew where they were stored.
An answer at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=543882 says they are in /data/data/com.android.launcher/databases , but /data/data/com.android.launcher does not exist on my machine.
Thanks a lot.

[Q] A ROM has the "system" folder as a file with no extension, how do I edit it?

[Q] A ROM has the "system" folder as a file with no extension, how do I edit it?
What the title says.
I got a new Chinese phone and I want to modify some guys custom ROM, removing some apps and adding some other things. But the System and Recovery folders are typed as "File" with no extensions.
Information on how to just access them or edit them would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Removing locked bookmarks in Samsung browser

Anyone know how to remove these? I have a couple pointing to African websites that I'd like to get rid of. I found a thread on how to delete them on a Note3, but the file to edit doesn't exist on the S6. I am rooted, but can't find a thing.
I finally figured out how to remove them. You must be rooted. The file you need to edit is "customer.xml". On my phone (G925F), it is located in: System > CSC > customer.xml. The file can be edited with a text editor. In the file, locate the bookmark name(s) and URL(s) you want to unlock. Here is one example on my phone:
<Editable>no</Editable>
<Index>1</Index>
<BookmarkName>Samsung Apps</BookmarkName>
<URL>http://m.za.samsungapps.com</URL>
All you have to do is change the <Editable>no</Editable> to <Editable>yes</Editable>. When finished, save the file.
To reload the newly edited file, you must clear data and force stop in the Internet app. You'll find it in Settings > Applications > Application Manager > All > Internet.
When you restart the browser, you will now be able to edit and delete the previously locked bookmarks. Hope this helps someone....
thank you very much!!

Cloning and modifying System Apps [Decompile -> Edit -> Rename -> Compile]

Hey guys,
currently trying to mod the default Vivo X70 Pro Plus Camera app and I am wondering if this is possible at all.
I pulled the apk from the phone, used apktool to decompile it, modified it and then compiled and signed it again.
The Problem is: I do not have root and cant overwrite system applications.
Now I'm thinking: Is it possible to rename the app and package to install it as a new app instead of overwriting the existing camera app?
