[UPDATED 23.11.2011][APP][Android Market 3.3.12] - Legend Themes and Apps

v3.3.12 update:
- Added free music of the week;
- Specially designed for Google Music App;
- Brand new setting: Auto update application;
- Brand new setting: Update Using WiFi only;
- Brand new setting: Automatic add shortcut;
- Microphone (voice command) switch in search menu;
- Small font;
- New application drawer icon;
- Star rating (review) chart on application page;
- Some Other Minor UI tweak.
New version Android Market, rolling out with new settings, and new icon.
There’s a brand-new settings menu, as well as click-to-read explanations of app permissions (not developer customizable, unfortunately). There’s also a brand-new Market icon to spruce things up.
You can now use a custom PIN for purchases on your phone, instead of leaving your Google Checkout wide open for anyone that picks up your device. If you have kids, or your phone is stolen, this is one awesome feature to have – and really, it makes a lot of sense.
Root access is not required, but you’ll need Unknown Sources enabled in the Settings -> Applications menu to install it.

Instead of making another 'useless' tread, you could asked me to update my tread (like everyone does)
You don't see a new tread for every new ROM version do you? That's because they get updated (sometimes with the help of others)
Just saying that you hungry thanks meter wolf

1. Thanks for the info.. PS: it's called thread(check your english dictionary).
2. I have 5 thanks(1 from this thread).. do you see me begging for thanks?
3. If you have a brain and can process information, you'd have understood that, as everybody from this forum, i only want to bring people up-to-date with what's new, whether it's about an app, update or ROM.

And btw i had to use ADB to install this market

Hi, I've been using this updated market for a few days, it does work much better then the older one, say 3.15 I think was the last one that was pushed onto my legend, less lag and loads much quicker for me.
I still don't like the layout as much as the even older versions, say 2.36, I find it hard the simply browse the available apps like the old version :-(
To install, all i had to do was download direct to my phone then open up ES filemanager and tap the file, installed over the top of the old one no issues for me.

Glad it went easy for you. Adb push via recovery is also an option.

Unfortunately they didn't solve the bug regarding custom screen DPI setting. I've explained HERE. Till Google will solve this, I must stick to the old market unfortunately.

For me.. this market is quite fast..
Faster than 3.2.0 i'm using previously..
but thats only happening on 3G..
If i'm on Edge.. I'll get either FC or Conn Time Out..

Could someone give me the link to DL the old Vending.apk (2.x market available for 7.0RC) ?
I got enough of this PHAT app.
Thanks.

Thanks, it doesn't crash as often as the previous version on stock.

seems faster than 3.3.11 which repeatedly had "no connection" when it wasn't already started
now it's even fast using 3G!

A new S2P version!! Tnx a lot!
great news....
Oh!! was waiting for it.
Excellent work as always A_C! (I've closed the old thread BTW).
A8C I want to thank you for all your work.
I went many times on your web site to see S2's progress.
Awesome Dude !
Can't wait to try it out!! Strong work A_C (as always)!!!
Weird.... I installed it (on my i780), used it, and after a reboot, my touchscreen isn't working anymore.
Must be another app causing that...... at least I think so.
[EDIT] Never mind. Still don't know why it stopped working, but it's not caused by S2P for sure.
Tanx for great work A_c
But i have run in to a problem.
When i press "more" the screen gets lite darker and whats it. i can't get the swichse to go to my mp3's
I'm running Energy 6.5 rom on a X1
Thank you for updating S2P!!! It is a great concept with a couple of major drawbacks.... but I think you have fixed most of them with this update! I am a big fan of your software!
UPDATE: it works great on my Touch Pro 2. However, pressing "more" next to artists/songs/etc cause my phone to freeze up.
Also a major reccomendation for a future feature would be to alphabetize the list when the music is being selected. I can never find any of my songs: and I wish I could because I would like to use S2P as my music player.
thay is good news !!!! thanks for the update dude
I'm gonna try it right now

For the "more" bug, please redownload it.
For the sorting, most of the sorting is already there, but either by the filename or folder name or both.

Just gave it a hard reset, installed nothing than S2P, rebooted... no problems.
I never had this issue before with my i780 so I immediately thought S2P could be causing it. Sorry for that.
Thanx A_C
Now it's work like a dream
Just redownloaded it and it works fine... Thanks for your hard work, A_C!
I cannot exit it normally, when I press quit, the application seems to do so but I'm forced to go to the taskmanger to kill the process
No need to appoligize to us lol thanks for your awesome work thats been ongoing. I've been looking forward to this update so thanks for that
Works perfectly here, can't wait to get the playlist function to work !!!
Thanks for your work.

Swype - Colored Themes [PLEASE MOVE TO Themes & Apps]

SORRY, PLEASE MOVE TO THEMES AND APPS (not Q&A)...
I used 1.56 because 1.60 is like 10MB bigger and I'm having trouble with 2.4 (it says limited use - lets you type, but not swype). These are apk files, so you MUST UNINSTALL your current version of Swype. Then you may install one of these as you would any other app. Enjoy, hope you like em!

You might like my new one - it's not quite a matte theme, but It's grey and white.
Its looking good, I'm going to wait to see what else you come up with!
Noob question, how would you apply this theme? Recovery? Metamorph? App installer?

This is the full app. You have to install it via an app installer. If you're already running Swype, you must uninstall your current version first. For me, I open Astro File Manager and select the new Swype I want to install. It allows me to uninstall my current version from there, then I reselect it after the previous version is uninstalled to install the new one.
Those are all really nice looking, the green is fav. Good Work!

I got an email from Swype Beta late last night.
THe Swype betas you're using (the email says) will expire in a couple of days.
I hope that this isn't true. But the newer version I downloaded (2.4) seems to require online 'Registration' to activate the application.
This will make it a LOT harder to make copies of/distribute.
They NEED to offer a paid solution, or stop trying to 'crack down' on people using their software for free.

The official Beta versions have required registration for awhile now. Inevitably, someone will hack around it, as has happened with previous versions.
The newest version is really sweet tho!
I have paid for many apps that I want, or that look cool enough to own. I love knowing that I am giving back to those that work to make my phone what it is. Now I hate having some one let me use something then take it away, not giving me a fair price on buying it.
I too got the notification of a new beta.
They have made it MUCH harder to get .. even tho I'm 'on the list' it took so much fooling around that I almost gave up.
Did manage to get it installed and I will say so far it is quite a bit better. I really didn't use the previous version much because it just wasn't that much better .. the new one looks good.
Cheers

I was gonna pm you this logcat but I don't see an option to attach a file. Let me know if this does you any good and if not, what do I need to do exactly? Hope it helps.
we're way beyond that... already have made mods to the apk...will update you when i have more
I was just about to sit on ddms and watch while I install it to try to figure it out.
I tried moving my com.swype.android.inputmethod folder from my working installation in /data/data
then backing up the app with Androzip.
Uninstalling (removing data and all)
Installing it from Androzip backup
Moving com.swype.android.inputmethod back to /data/data/
No go.
What in the world does 'registration' do? Tricky, tricky.
THANK YOU!
I have been waiting a long time for someone to do this!!!
I like all that you have done. My preference, is to add one with the black color scheme as that of the stock keyboard. I really like that look/color but I don't use it because it's not Swype.
Keep up the great work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Glad you guys like these. I planned on making a ton of different ones but I'm going to put them on hold until I know for sure if the 1.56 is going to expire soon. Also, once they get the 2.4 all fixed up I'll get on that one instead so sit tight
Edit - Ok well maybe I'll add a few more. I could probably just slide these pngs over to the newer version anyway once it's fixed up.
I added 3 more this morning. I'm currently using the glow in the dark one, I think it's pretty sweet!
Sent from my Eris using XDA App
My 1.56 Swype expired this morning. It looks like the new version is limited on the Eris. No Swype functianlity, kinda only a preview.
If you guys are beta subscribers and use the beta preview 2.4 and having problems with accuracy just delete your Delvik Cache.
zwade01, I sent you a PM have you received it ? It does not show up in my sent folder.

Kyoraapp v1.2

Hey guys, I'm sure you already know Hillbeast's Kyorarom. Well, in that case you must have heard of Kyoraapp too. But just in case you haven't p), Kyoraapp is an app I specially designed to manage Kyorarom's specific features, like Kyoralock and Kyoratweaks.
Main Menu:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
You have two buttons: Kyoralock and Kyoratweaks. But, if you press menu button, you can access Preferences menu from there, in which you'll see:
If you select "Use service?", a service for Kyoralock will be started in background that will execute applock for each app on the list every XX minutes (depending on what's in "time between executions").
Note: Each time you open Kyoralock, applock will be executed only once if the service is disabled.
Kyoralock:
This is a script designed by Hillbeast that "locks" an app into memory, so that the app will be more responsive.
In the TextBox, you can write an apps package name, and press "Add App" to add that package to the applock list, or just push "Execute", that will execute applock on that app only once without adding it to the list.
Or if you want "the easy way", you can press the "List" button right next to the textbox. That will launch a new activity that will recollect all the apps installed on the phone, and put them in a list. There, you select whichever apps you want, and then press "Done". That will automatically add the selected apps to the list.
Kyoratweaks:
In Kyorarom v0.5, a new feature was implemented: Kyoratweaks. This allows the user to enabled or disable some tweaks included in Kyorarom.
If you have any doubts, suggestions, or whatever you want to say, just leave a comment!

i don't understand Kyoratweaks. If this make phone faster why someone wants to have disabled this options? These tweaks should be enebled by default.
Moikop, I have some code somewhere on my pc which translates the com.android.launcher or something like that, to the actual app name.
Also, I take it's a listview you're using? I also have some code lying around where you can change the looks of it (custom listview adapter), this way you could make it like:
icon | name
Contact me if you're interested in the code (;

I'm interested in the code to "translate" the package name into the app's name. I know a way how to do it, but.. let's just say that, that way the app would be slow as hell. So if the code is good, please send it to me by pm
About the listview.. yes, I know about custom adapters. But I decided not to use them because I want to keep the UI as simple, fast and intuitive as possible
Thanks Dympy.

TV Boot (Reboot and Shutdown App)

One of the things that I found lacking with my Nexus Player was the ability to reboot straight from within Android. As such, I decided to write a small app which allows me to do just this. I have also added some other small features, such as Reboot to recovery, Reboot to bootloader and Shutdown. I hope that you find my app useful and I look forward to any feedback.

Yes, sadly that is the only way I found to reboot.
It'll be nice to add icons on buttons.

Didn't know that as I am yet to flash 5.1. However the added features such as reboot to recovery as well as the fact that it's faster than going through the settings should set it apart.

No doubt this is a more elegant solution. I installed the app and will be using it, thank you! It was rather fyi.
It would nice if there was kinda "Sleep" button (not sure if it's actually possible, but I think it should be).
And, also, how about "kill all background tasks"?
+1 for the sleep part. I don't think mine ever goes to sleep

I'll look into it however I doubt that I will add an option to kill background tasks as I believe that Android does a good job by itself and closing the apps manually does more harm than good.
task kill is not necessary since Android 4.0, but I will echo the request for Sleep. It would be nice to make it Sleep just like any other Android phone.

This mod is supposed to prevent selected background apps from being killed by the OS in case of low RAM, right? Well, for me, it doesn't. I just installed the mod, activated and started it, selected my music player, set it to "locked", rebooted, started some music, opened a very resource demanding website and the music player was closed just like without the mod.
Also it doesn't show all apps. for example GBoard is missing, just like the majority of system apps.

I tested with FreeRamMemory, locked music player and viper, and started a full ram fill, which produced a low ram condition, but viper and poweramp stayed in ram even till the foreground app got killed! Very good modul i recommend it!
Not compatible with KitKat ? Thats too bad...
Hello... Thanks for the mod... Can you plz explain Red n Black lock means? And why I getting notifications for lock added to new/updated apps?
s
In simple terms black lock can manually stop red can't stop it

Very interesting module!
@784920843, would you mind telling why the module needs phone and storage permissions?
Sorry for being paranoid, but Xposed modules are essentially omnipotent. Or are you interested in making the module open source?
Edit: The module wants internet as well?
Is it possible for us to select a little higher oom_adj value? I want an app can be locked from lmk but can still be killed automatically by greenify
THIS IS GREAT! My phone has 6 gigs of RAM and Android still would never use more than about 1.3. I would have to wait SECONDS for the stupid messaging app to reload and by then I forgot what I was going to say. ITS frigging 2018! My freaking Palm Pilot was faster.
Now with this mod i locked my important apps in memory and they START INSTANTLY like they god damn well should have in the FIRST PLACE. And I still have 3 gigs of free memory. Why the hell doesn't Android work like this in the first place? Of course it would be reasonable if I had a sissy loser phone with 2 gigs RAM, but it knows damn well I have 6. What the hell is it saving all that extra RAM for? Of all the stupid things.
So my phone's still running great but I keep getting this annoying toast saying "device memory low" even though I still have almost 3 gigs free... Any ideas how to stop it. It's super annoying.
Update: it appears to have been some random app in the background creating that toast. Why? Who knows.
Thanks for this awesome module!!
Only problem (for me), It keeps spamming xposed logs.
Holy s*** it's working on LineageOS 15.1 Thanks so much man!!
Hope this isn't abandoned as it s a really useful mod, even nowadays.
Please add the possibility to choose the ooj level.

I wouldn't mind this as well. But it appears the OP has stopped working on it. If they don't reply soon, I'll mod it and post the apk and if the OP doesn't like it i'll remove it then.
Thanks, you should really post it when it's ready!
There are already so many abandoned xposed modules... Seems like everyone moved to Magisk mods, though it can't obviously do everything Xposed Framework can.
