Help with incorporating these files - HTC EVO 3D

Hey can someone incorporate all these mods into one flashable zip? Since the most of the mods modify the same system apps they undo the other mods, and i have no idea how to incorporate them all together.... So help would be appreciated!

I can tell you that the first 2 are two different files so they won't conflict with anything unless you already have a "theme" you're using.
CRT animations resides in the services.jar file, which won't overwrite anything you currently have going, as it has no images and isn't related to the look of your phone.
The Zeus mods file up there is one I modified to have gingerbread icons, and is part of the system that most people modify to change signal bars, battery icons, etc (SystemUI.apk) so it will change what you currently have as those.
Not too sure about the beats.
The 7-in-1 reboot mod, I personally haven't looked at that particular file you linked, but if it is what I think it is, then that file won't change or overwrite anything either, as it is the android.policy.jar file, which like services.jar doesn't include anything that will change the theme, UI, or look of your phone.
Hope this helps.
Recap:
You can flash the first and last file without changing anything you currently have. And if you want gingerbread icons, you can flash the second one. You can easily take what you currently have (if you're using a theme or you just want to preserve the look of your SystemUI.apk) and insert it into the SystemUI.apk that's in the zeus mods file.
All you need is WinRAR or 7-zip. If that's what you're trying to accomplish, reply back and I will walk you through it.

OK so come to think of it I have all of the mods installed except the beats audio. When I installed the beats audio it canceled out the crt animations and I figured if I had to pick between crt and beats audio that I'd have crt animation. So I figured out that the crt and beats both modify the services.jar but I had no idea how to modify the services.jar file to incorporate crt and beats.

Just from reading a lot of ROM threads, you can only choose one or the other. I'm not sure if anyone has incorporated both crt+beats. You may want to check the infected eternity ROM thread and if if has them both, extract the services.jar file from that particular ROM.

[Q] UOT Kitchen & CM7

I'm trying to change the status/top bar of a CM7 theme using UOT Kitchen. The first time I ever attempted this was last night. Followed the instructions step by step; everything was good. But when I flashed it, nothing changed.
My question is, when uploading files to UOT it says for GB Rom's upload the framework and system apk. For CM7 Roms just upload the theme apk i.e. Cyanbread. Seeing how CM7 is GB thats where I'm confused. Should I upload just the theme apk or the framework and system apks? Or should I upload them all?

I read somewhere else that UOT might not be updated yet for 2.3.5 Gingerbread like the latest AOSP roms are running.

I only theme out my framework-res.apk and my SystemUI.apk. The SystemUI.apk is the stock look that you get on Gingerbread without any modifications. If you unzip if with 7zip you'll see what I mean. I've never flashed it into a live/booted rom. I modify my files pngs mostly and let the kitchen do the hard work (the files I still don't understand), then replace the SystemUI.apk and the framework-res.apk into the CMupdate.zip file. There is probably a more preferable way to do it, but I don't switch themes a lot (and the theme chooser doesn't theme everything I need anyway)
I know this way will work as I've gotten my edits into these today/yesterday

Overscroll Colors

I'm on Infected Eternity RLS 1.4.2 with my Evo 3D. And I;m kind of tired of the green overscroll color. I tried to create a mostly red edition of the ginger thyrepancy with uot kitchen but i got confused and didn't feel like breaking my rom or have a messed up theme. So basically can any one help me learn how to create the theme or just give me some zips with different over scroll colors? especially red
If you use UOT, just check the overscroll color check box and pick your color , then UOT will only theme the overscroll color. Overscroll color is in framework-res.apk, and since you have to upload your ROMs apks (framework-res.apk, com.htc.resources.apk, and SystemUI.apk), the zip thats made will have the edited framework-res.apk that your looking for, and it will be specific to your ROM so nothing will bork.
Ok. Thanks. If i edit parts like the over scrool and the battery it wont edit the rest of my rom right?

UOT allows you to pick and choose what you want to edit. Only what you check will be edited. Since your uploading you specific ROMs files, there is really no way to screw anything up. But I always make a nandroid backup just in case.
Molto bene!!!! Now i have the confidence i need to do this! Grazie amico
They can be flashed through TWRP 1.1 right?

Yep. When making the zip in UOT, under "Select flashable zip scripting" choose "Type EMMC" for update-binary.
Thanks for the patience and help man. I read about the EMMC in a different thread but thanks for the reminder.
I've made a bunch of overscroll glows that can be added via the metamorph app (free in the market). No need to flash/change battery icons/etc.
Maybe I'll make a thread

Transfer of Custom rom themes

I would like to transfer the theme from one rom to another. I will be transferring Scott's Developer edition theme from his Cleanrom Developer edition to a stock deodex'd rom. Is there any way to do this? I have little experience with themeing roms but I can follow directions pretty good.
isn't cleanrom pretty much a stock rom?

it can be as simple as pushing the specific apps into your phone but it isnt most of the time...
devs make loads of modifications and such so usually isnt as simple
but id suggest you check out tutorials about themeing and the intro to themeing thread

call me crazy but I *think* the blue theme from the dev edition is actually a skin defaulted by the ROM, called blu bugaloo or something? see if there's an apk in /system/app for that ROM, put it into the same place for the ROM you want, it should just show up in your skin options, apply it? you could also ask scott, he's a good dev and quite helpful

the skin is basically fusion.apk, to get any other themed items from a ROM, you could pull out these and use them in your new ROM:
/system/app/SystemUI.apk
/system/app/Rosie.apk
/system/framework/framework-res.apk
/system/framework/htc.resources.apk
/system/app/dialer.apk (only if the dialer is themed)
/system/app/phone.apk (same ^^^)

This has worked for everything but the GPS icon. The icon is still stock and visible even when disabled. Scott's rom has replaced the GPS icon and made it invisible when GPS was turned off. Any ideas?
you can replace the gps on icon with one that has been made transparent, but without being able to use pc at the moment cant tell you where its at. i think in either systemui or framework-res

I tried copying the systemui from Scott's rom to the stock rom and flashing it, but it doesn't make a difference. I verified that the same images from Scott's rom are in the rom I just flashed, as I can view them with root explorer. It still shows stock though.
The three custom image files for the gps icon in scotts rom are:
stat_sys_gps_acquiring
stat_sys_gps_acquiring1
stat_sys_gps_acquiring2
However, the rom is ignoring these files and instead using:
sym_gpsone_0_sprint
sym_gpsone_3_sprint
sym_gpsone_0_vzw
These three files are the stock white sense crosshair icons.
This is a view of the files from SystemUI.apk res\drawable-hdpi
The three blue icons are the ones I want to use.
That was small, here is a bigger version:

if you have 7zip you can open the apk with the images you want, copy them to your desktop, rename them to the name the new rom uses, then paste or drag them into the new apk (opened with 7zip), by the way, I think/hope you're off one png name, no way is a sprint rom using a vzw png lol
I was wrong, it is only using two files:
sym_gpsone_0_sprint
sym_gpsone_3_sprint
One is GPS active and one is GPS off.
I dont think renaming it is the issue. I have tried copying the entire systemUI.apk folder from Scott's rom over to the stock rom, and it still does the same thing. The default icons are also present in Scott's rom, just not used.
My next question is, what file (XML file?) references these files?

-trust me, pull the 3 images you want out of his sysUI using 7zip
-rename from stat_blah_acquire_0
to sym_sprint_gps_blah_0
-repeat steps for other pngs
-open up new rom sysui with 7zip
-paste in renamed pngs
-push modded apk to phone or flash it

[Q] Flashable zip for CRT animations for 2.17.651.5?

From what I know, there are many changes needing to be made to an Sense ROM in order to make this work. CPU changes, animation .xml's needing modded, and smali files. In addition to that, there are probably some changes in framework and com.htc.resources.apk, services.jar (which in order to be DeOdexed, all other apps need deodexed as well, I do believe).
I don't mean to burst your bubble, but, I have been looking at making my own (after searching a bit just like you have, I'm sure, for a flashable). It's fairly complicated, even though you wouldn't think it would be.

[MOD] 900P NE5 CRT/FADE Animation

I figured I would convert this mod to our device using code in the unified thread. (Props to original author and Rompnit).
It took a bit of tweaking to get it to work on the Sprint variant but it seems to be functioning as intended.
This is for Odexed stock(ish) roms only!
It replaces services.jar and build.prop. If you have tweaks to your build prop that you don't want set to defaults then I recommend you install the jar and odex file manually and edit your build.prop with whatever tool you see fit
A lot of mods affect the services.jar as well, noteably the unlock hotspot mod. That's why it's included FREE with this mod.
What a deal!
The changes I made to the build.prop are simply these additions. The rest is stock
#CRT Mod
persist.sys.screen_on=fade
persist.sys.screen_off=crt
These can be changed to set your on/off animation type. Options are CRT/FADE/NONE
Standard Use at Your Own Risk stuff Blah Blah
Enjoy
It's usually better to provide a deodexed copy as odexed relies on the same exact framework that it was odexed with to be present for the files to function at all
On the other hand, deodexed will function on any rom including odexed roms (when yup delete/move the odex files affected)

I provide Odexed mods mainly because nobody else is doing it. And because odexed versions are usually the first thing people ask for, and because deodexing seems to break too many functions I use like private mode and S-Health issues.
I'll post the edited smali if anyone wants to use it for anything.

What would it take to port the crt mod to moar 7 rom.i had it on stock rom with xposed. I want to get it back without xposed.
