[Q] Galaxy SII want Turn on - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
Sorry for my bad English, I have a problem with my samsung sII, by mistake I wanted to install a ROM s1 galaxy I did not see that this is the S1 and not S2 Rom
Fortunately, the ROM is not installed and the phone got stuck in the download menu, after 15 minutes I turned off my phone and he wants to turn on , I try to start it in normal mode and download mode but nothing happens
it mean that my phone is dead or it There's a solution?
Thank you in advance

From what i have heard you hard brick your phone if you try to flash i sgs1 rom on a sgs2 phone.
JTAG service should fix it.
I can really recommend this service, very helpful personel:

Can you get it into download mode with a jig?

Here we go... Another SGS1 flash on S2.
Bricked.
GG.
Send it back to sammy and tell them u plugged it to ur wall charger and it died.

As mentioned if you flash an SGS 1 ROM w/ Pit to the phone, it will brick it and require JTAG if it won't power up:
http://mobiletechvideos.mybigcommerce.com/samsung-galaxy-s-ii-jtag-brick-repair/
Thanks for the reference guys...I mean gays...

loooool, sorry guys, and tnx for your answers, i hope that JTAG will repair my phone, i miss my Samsung

Try This:
If you think your phone may be bricked and wont turn on, try a soft reset (possibly followed by a hard reset)
1. Take out the battery, then press and hold the ON button for about 10 seconds or so. Replace the battery, then press ON button to try to switch on. This is a soft reset, and wipes the temporary memory and empties all remaining power in the circuits.
2. If this does not work, do as above but after inserting the battery, press and hold the ON+HOME buttons at the same time for 10 seconds or so again. This is a hard reset, and works best if done after a soft reset, so always try the soft reset first.

But then what happened was when i rebooted my device it doesnt power on at all , please help me!!!!!!!
notes
also , i have a backup of my phone clockwork recovery on sd card.
Aaaaaah! Shouldn't have done that, didn't it seem kinda obvious?
But anyway, if you can't power on in download/any way at all, looks like you'll have to send it to samsung repair
Sent from my GT-I5500 using Tapatalk
ok so i dont have any other option at all , also what are the combinations , i have tried:
vol down +home + power , vol down + middle button + power . i have also tried using usb and holding vol down, home , power and then putting battery in.
I think that's all there is, sorry

he cant power it up in download mode...
yes it doesnt power up , but if you tell me some ways to try and boot up then i will be able to flash it back.
i didnt think flashing the wrong recovery would brick a phone?
some ideas:

Something else is wrong. If you tried installing wrong recovery it should of just said on your phone screen installation aborted. Have a go at this. I take it you still have odin installed on your pc right.
Press and hold vol down. Then press centre and power at the same time and hold down. It only takes a few seconds for a yellow triangle to appear with downloading written on the screen. You do not need to have the usb plugged in at this moment.

Man..ur can only be done right by odin....so for going to download mode...turn off the mobile pick out the battery put it again .....and press vol. Down+centre selection button(not home or android button)+power on key....and after 2 sec u will be their....and try to press the button in the order as i posted.....say if it helps...

yes i still have odin installed , but my phone isnt showing any sign of life at all , i tried this what you said and it didnt work , no lights at all.
Then srry....man...if it dosent even power on...then i cant do anything....srry u have to give it to service centre...

If you cant get it on download mode then i would say you bricked your phone,, you will probally be charged by samsung as they dont condone tampering with custom roms or recovery and there will be traces if they manage to power it on, it might be cheaper for you to just buy another phone, and leave it alone, but am still sorry to hear you cant get your phone working, good luck..
Sent from my Xoom using xda premium
So what did you do? Any updates? The exact same thing happened to me too
None of the key combinations will work, because your phone's arm11boot partition is now corrupt. That's really bad, because it's responsible for phone charging/download mode etc.
You need to get it repaired.
Please guys, *never* install ClockworkMod that's intended for another device. With other models you can get lucky and find a working build, but you have an extremely high risk of permanently bricking with Samsung models.
I did this exact same thing and ended up buying a Galaxy Ace. I'll still try and fix my Galaxy 5 though. I selected Huewai Pulse from the list. Bad move =(

Galaxy s2 died..

Hey .. I have a galaxy s2 that changed the rom to Cyanogen mod 9.0 there are already many months, since last week almost every day the phone block and had to eventually take away the battery, now the same thing happened and I had to do the same .. when I turn on said that the only way to have the phone working was doing a factory reset, I canceled to see if there was another solution, or to give back by grace and holy spirit .. from there came the blue screen with the puppet and in minutes the phone turn off .. I took the SIM to put in another phone and the phone turn on no more .. i have tryed hard reset, soft reset, nothing turn the phone on.. Anyone can help me? It's a bit urgent and sad, since it is a "toy" rather expensive ..
thank you
try whit battery out about 1-2 hour and try again.

Cwm(clockworkmod recovery)-vol up+home+power
How did you manage to flash a rom without even knowing what cwm is???
Sent from my Galaxy S2 GT i9100
Did you keep the rom zip file in your phone? or can you connect your phone to a computer?
Hold volume up+home+power to recovery mode, try to re-install the rom or try another rom.
If it's available, you may backup your stuff and wipe data and cache before install the rom.

PS: Did you install CWM through Odin? Why on earth would you do that! Also if you wiped your device on ICS using CWM you may be up sh%t creek without a paddle, because your device might be permanently hard bricked

Like said here before, if you installed CWM on an unsafe Kernel (usually Stock Kernel present on 4.0.4 and 4.1.2 Stock Firmware) and after that wiped your data/cache etc. there is a good probability that you hard-bricked your device. Not even JTAG will help, if it`s the eMMC hardbrick.
Try to get into download mode and flash a Stock 4.0.3 Firmware and if you can`t then try a USB Jig to get into download mode and if that doesn`t work you probably hardbricked your device as described above
Read this on more info about eMMC superbrick:

As said before, Try power + volume Down + home and flash a stock firmware through Odin
And is there still any life at all? What about when charging. Is there the charging animation?
Also maybe read through this? https://t-mobile.jive-mobile.com/#jive-discussion?content=/api/core/v1/discussions/27132

Why is it Samsungs fault.. You have to take the risks of flashing stuff on your device. This guy obviously did not do his research...

Exactly. Hardly Samsung's fault when 'tards don't RTFM (which seems to be happening a lot more than it used to around here).

Only one thing is to blame in this instance. And that's you.

I love comments like this. Well if you don`t read properly how and what to flash at what time to your device and just do as you think is right then you are going to end up with a hardbrick. That`s nobodies fault but yours. Why did you buy an Android phone in the first place if you can handle an IPhone better?

If you have an hardbrick and you can`t even get into download mode, what do you expect people to do? We are normal human beings here, there are no miracles here. If you have an hardbrick, you can try to repair it via Jtag or send it to a Samsung service center if you are still on warranty but if you complain about Android and how much it sucks you won`t be making many friends here, since this is an Android community.

battery?
May be a brick.
It may be a hard brick. Still you may take out the battery and weight for 1 minute, then re-insert the battery and try to get it into download mode. And yes , doo charge the device or borrow a fullu charged battery before flashing. hope its not a hard device brick
The risk is always there but i really hope you did not hard brick it

it'll be nice if you can see atleast some part of the screen
well just go into download mode and flash the original firmaware which is quite easy
and then i guess u have to wipe factory and cache to run it
this is a bit tricky but when to boot to the stock recovery press vol down 3 times den power wait for 1 min
den vol down 4 times and then power ( might be dumb but did it on my i9100g s2 )
hope this helps
