need help for micro simcard - Motorola Droid RAZR

Hi all,
Could you tell me how to remove micro simcard from Razr?
And also how to activate micro simcard on Razr. I used normal (large) simcard for my Milestone.

In the lower left side of the phone, there is an opening where the sim card and micro sd are.

Thanks for you reply. I need to check with my service provider. I think my service provider does not activate my new micro simcard.

question about phone's antenna.

hi guys, i've been having a problem about my network. sometimes my data isn't working at all but it doesn't really says that it's disconnected to fix it i have to reboot. I tried different roms but my data still drops sometimes like 4 times a day.
so is there any chance that i broked the phone's data antenna even my calls still work? i have the phone for 6 months and this is the first time this has happened. i really don't want to exchange my phone to tmobile but if that's the only way to try then that's what i'll do.

I would suggest getting a new SIM card. In most cases a new sim card will fix that problem. I work for T-Mo and that's usually a good fix. If that doesnt work then try a factory reset. If that doesn't work then warranty. Good luck!!

yeah i have done a factory reset. So i'll ask t mobile for a new sim card?

Just go to a store and ask for a sim replacement. Since its a damaged sim they should just replace it for free.

I don't need to call them? i'll just directly go to a tmobile?

Yes sir. They will activate your number on to it and put it in the phone. Off you go. That simple.

When you bought your Vibrant, check in the box, there should be 2 sim cards.
i just called t mobile today and they said that my sim card is old which is weird. my sim card came with the phone 6 months ago. is there really a new sim card?
So they said i do need to change my sim card, will my number be changed?

If he upgraded to the vibrant and the rep happened to leave the sim in there then there would be another one. There is typically only one sim per box.Usually if you are an existing customer and you upgrade the rep will take the sim out of the box and keep it.

Nope. Number will stay the same. They just activate the new card with your number and deactivate the old. Yes, they came out with a new version of the sim card a while ago.

oh ok thanks. i really forgot to ask why did they put this sim if it's not compatible with the phone. I didn't know that they have a newer sim card.
thanks!

Well the one that you have should work fine. But like anything else they occasionally go bad. They updated the sims when they started upgrading the network. Just gives a better connection on 3g/4g.

Question on Verizon Razr maxx with prepaid sim card in Turkey

Hi all,
I'm going to travel to Turkey and would like to know what I have to do with my verizon razr maxx so that I can use a prepaid sim card in Turkey?
Thanks in advance.
From what I've read on here the RAZR maxx will work with worldwide microsim if ur on ICS... so if u are all you'd need is a microsim from turkey or a regular sum that you would manually cut down to microsim size

Thanks a lot!

I have two SIM cards.

So I bought this DNA at best buy and the guy gave me two SIM cards, the one currently installed and another one. Can I remove the SIM card and put in the new one and it will go back to pre OTA? Or does the SIM card have nothing to do with it?

Nothing at all. Sim card just connects you to the network.

It also stores phone contacts
It can store contacts. That's more of a hold over feature from the pre-smart phone days. Honestly if you have an android phone and you're not syncing your contacts with google than you're doing something wrong. (I suppose there may be tin-foil hat wearing people out there that don't want to give google that information, but considering what you're giving them just by using an android phone those people should probably avoid the platform entirely). Even if you were planning to switch from an android to an iPhone it would make more sense to just import your google contacts in iOS than use the SIM to transfer them.

Activating 4G SIM for Note 2

Hey guys,
I picked up a LTE Micro SIM card for my Note 2 from my local Verizon store and was looking to activate it. I already own a HTC Rezound but that has the larger regular SIM in it. Is it as simple as activating the new SIM using the directions outlined below? And then popping it in.

Just want to make sure I keep my unlimited.
Thanks,
Chris

Awesome thanks! I didn't trust the verizon store to not try to switch me on to one of the share your wallet plans so I made them give me a Micro sim and then promptly left.

You could have also bought a sim card cutter off eBay. But now that you have a smaller sim, pick up an adapter in case you want to use the Rezound again (can't image why). I'm using a nano sim in my Note in an adapter so I can confirm that any sim can be adapted any way.

Which adapter did you buy? The one I bought isn't working. Shows the box with the x. It's not making full contact I'm guessing.

Or replace the SIM reader. Happened to me on another phone. I ordered the part on eBay and took it to a shop to replace the SIM and sd card part. Get yourself a better adapter or it will happen again.
Take it back and say it was like that lol. That your SIM quit working out the blue. Provided your in the return window.
