[Q] Voice guidance option missing - HTC Titan

Hi, I have a Titan that I bought through Expansys and am using in Canada. The OS version is 7.10.7720.68. I have the "Browser and search language" set to "English (United States)", and the US-only features like scout show up on the maps app. I can search for directions, by when I tap on them, there's no voice guidance. If I go to Settings under Maps, my first setting is "Change map orientation for driving directions". I understand I'm missing an option called "Read directions aloud when tapping"? Is anyone else missing this or have an idea for getting that option to show up?

I don't have it too. All settings set to English US. I got my phone from Russia.
Weird thing is that voice command has a British accent, and speech settings are missing several options as compared to my previous LG Optimus 7.

[Q] Google Voice Search Personalized Recognition

I have been having issues with Google Voice Search recognizing some of my commands. The main problem is having the app recognize the names of some of my contacts. If the contact has a "normal" name with a "normal" spelling there isn't any problems, but any unique names or spellings do not work. I figured with time the personalized recognition option would remedy this but it has not. After some searching and taking suggestions from XDA and other forums, I decided to post my own topic to see if there is any help to be had.
I have made sure that all of my contacts are synced to the Google servers. The other popular answer is to clear your speech data from the Google dashboard. But I cannot find that option anywhere. The threads I've read say go to the Google Dashboard, scroll down to the Speech section, and click anonymize data.
My Google dashboard does not have a Speech section. I know the personalize speech recognition is on in the voice search app. Does anyone know where this data is in the dashboard or of a reason why it would not being getting saved? The only thing I can think of is that I have my Web Search History turned off, but those two things seem not to be related. Any help would be appreciated.

[Q] Change what does Google Maps Navigator says

Hi there,
I know that it's possible to change te Google Maps Navigator default voice, but I wonder if there's a way to chage what it says. I mean, I guess a lot of things come from the net (destination names etc.) but when it says basic directions "turn left" - "turn right" etc... is there a way to change it? Thanks

Google Text-to-Speech - "Speak" Option Missing

Using a Samsung S7 Edge for T-Mobile on Nougat 7.0 with Google Text-to-Speech version 3.11 is installed. Previously on the Samsung S5 there was an option to have Google TTS speak out loud any highlighted text via the "Speak" option - kindly note, I'm NOT referring to the highlight to speak option using Google Talkback but rather after highlighting text in say a browser, there usually are the following options: Copy, Share, Select All, Web Search, Translate, and Speak. Unfortunately, on the S7 Edge the "Speak" options isn't available after highlighting text.
I've tried the following to no avail:
1. Uninstalling and reinstalling the latest Google Text-to-Speech
2. Under Accessibility --> Text-to-Speech --> selected Google Text-to-Speech Engine with Language set as English and Default language shows that English is fully supported
3. In Settings under General Management --> Language and Input --> Speech --> Text-to-Speech (repeated the same process as above)
4. Restarting Phone
5. Clearing Phone Cache
6. Installing Google Talkback and turning on Highlight-to-Speak option - that's how I know it wasn't the same. Please note Talkback has since been uninstalled
If anyone has any suggestions on how to turn on or make the Speak option show up after selecting text it would be greatly appreciated!
Same problem here: ZTE Axon 7. Extremely difficult to find any information about this issue - it seems, not many people use it...

Disabling spoken result from a Google voice search

This is driving me crazy.
If I do a new voice activated search in chrome the result is spoken/read out aloud on the phone.
I have tried the settings option in the Google app, gone to “ voice” and changed to hands free only (the only other option is “on”).
But if I open a new chrome window or tab. Then use my voice to search Google the result is still read out as a summary.
I just want to be able to use my voice to activate the search but have the results returned as normal as text.
Help!

Did Google change something with its Assistant? It's ignoring region settings now

So for the longest time I've had my phone (and both Google home devices and my Chromecast) set up with language and region as English(UK). The assistant speaks in a really nice, natural British accent and it's a good, personal way to get information about my day.
But all of a sudden Google seems to be ignoring region settings, and the voice is this shrill, nasally American thing that's just irritating to listen to. I've gone through all my Google settings in both Chrome, the Google Home app and my phone and everything is set to English(UK). If I reset the Google Home, before it connects to the internet it's got the right voice. But once Google talks to the devices, back comes the nasally voice.
The weird thing is that some settings still have the British accent, such as when it's reading something off the web.
Anyone know what Google did that breaks my Assistant?
I thought about it being an App update, and I don't think so- I uninstalled updates to the Google App to see if that would change anything (to roll it back) and it didn't.
