Does the Rezound have a notification light? - HTC Rezound

If so, is it more usable/brighter than the Thunderbolts?

It seems to me like the one on the Thunderbolt is larger and more visible, even though on the Rezound it's not hidden behind the earpiece.

The ReZound's is smaller but in a better location and more visible I think..

it's pretty much idenitcal to the one on the increidble

completely agree here...

Yeah, I think I like the placement on the Rezound as opposed to the Incredibles. I went from an Incredible 2 and I really like the fact that on the Rezound, it isn't buried up in the speaker.

like the rest have said here,
its like the incredible's
my wife still has her incredible, and when you put the phones side by side, you can tell that the rezound is essentially the incredible's big brother. I dont know what the dinc2 was going for, but it failed. the rezound should be the dinc2.
and damn do i love it

This thing is TINY

so, compared to the 4G, this thing is tiny!
i didnt think the thinner screen would make this much of a difference but to me it's really quite noticeable.
im unsure if i like it better. it's definitely easier to hold but i really do miss the extra screen width of the 4G.
the high resolution is nice though...although it adds to the feeling of it being smaller.
i think this size can bring the potential customers that were unsure if they could handle a phone the size of the evo 4g.
what do you guys think?

Evo is 15:9, Evo3D is 16:9, bezel is nearly identical.
i'm talking about the perceived size.
DDiaz, i know yours got delivered today, are u saying you dont think the 3D feels and looks smaller? or have you not got to play around with the phone yet?
The Evo 4G is wider by about 1/4" to 3/8"
For me its about the same size as my Hero. But the screen will cover most of that space.
For those coming from an Evo 4G it is a noticeable difference. Didn't people already know this.

Aside from the bootloader this has been my only concern...and after holding (the mockup) in my hand I must say that I am even more concerned now...and that suuuuuucks.
I really, really really really really hated it....but, we'll see once I get to play with it....but...i can imagine web browsing sucking a lot, though the resolution will still ensure I get MORE information on the page....but I was looking forward to simply having smoother fonts of the same size, but that would render my webpages completely effed up in portrait, and completely irritating in landscape...
...very very close to a deal breaker, but, I'll keep an open mind for a few weeks....but I'm getting heartbroken...I love my monster.
I preferred the screen size of my Thunderbolt vs my Droid X, kind of a bummer they changed it but you get use to it.

I'm a tall guy with big hands...the Evo4G was a perfect fit, one handed scrolling and swyping....a smaller phone would be....I dunno...very awkward...but...we'll see. Perhaps I'm making a bigger deal out of this than it is, but, sadly I don't think so.

It's going to make web pages suck in portrait and really suck in landscape...sure, the gigantic jump in resolution will surely make that a lot easier to deal with than first glance of a mockup would suggest...but I just hate the way the shape looks.
I just wish the screen was less narrow...I hate that so much.

Be patient. It's not easy to out-smart HTC. We can get temp root. That's easy! But the thing keeps rooting itself when we reboot. It's not permaroot but it's a start. Just coming from a Vibrant, I'm glad that I made the switch to HTC! Even without root this phone is much better to use in my opinion.
It took over two months to get S-Off for the Sensation.

As others have said, be patient.
Recently, HTC has made their devices hard nuts to crack, but every one of them has been cracked.
I had a Vibrant and seriously considered getting the SGS2, even after I swore I would never buy another Samsung phone, because of the GPS and update debacles. I went into the T-Mobile store to play with both, first I grabbed the SGS2 and played with it for a while. The first thing that I thought was, "Ok, this is a bigger, faster Vibrant. I don't really want another Vibrant".
Then I picked up the Amaze, and the first thing I thought was, "Holy crap! This thing is beautiful!". After going back and forth between the 2 for about 10 minutes, it was clear to me, that the Amaze was just a higher quality device. It is going on a week of me having it and I have absolutely no regrets.
Sure I'm disappointed that wifi calling isn't supported yet, and that they are starting to play games with wireless tether, but those things are software, which means they can be changed/fixed. What cannot be changed is hardware. The aluminum case of the Amaze feels and looks wonderful. I know there are a lot people gripping about aspects of the screen, but I think it is excellent. Anyone that is surprised that the AMOLED display is a little better than the SLCD, hasn't been paying attention over the last year or so. Just because it's a little better, doesn't mean the SLCD is bad. Because it is bigger than the Amaze screen but has the same resolution, the pros and cons of it pretty much cancel each other out, in my opinion.
Root and S-OFF will come.

What worries me is the development section looks quite scarce compared to the Evo 3D or even the sgs2. It's hard to have faith in the developers when there are so very few that have come out and said they have an Amaze.

My real Rezound modifications

You all know that douche Dallasskater. He is NOT my friend and never will be. I created an account to prove everything. He was telling everyone that I modified my rez extremely. Which I did but not that drastic. Then he started making it sounding like it was fake and made a poorly Photoshopped benchmark which looked bad.
All I did was make it slcd to slcd 2, upgraded to S4 1.7gh. No I did not upgrade the battery. I just saw a slim battery on amazon which was 1950mh and was for Rez so I bought it. No I did not install imagesense chip which I think he said I did. Mainly SLCD2 and S4 Chip. Also upgraded 2 Gig ram.
REAL Benchmark screenshot
I dont know what else to show you to prove. I can show whatever you want to prove I did except open up the phone. I had a hard time unscrewing the device the time I did because the grooves on the screws are bad and don't want to ruin them anymore.

fine I kind of figured no one would believe me. So I guess I wont be showing you how I did it then will I. Oh yea I forgot to tell you I work for HTC and I'm really not suppose to show you this or tell you about this. I suggested about a Rezound HD and showed it to rest of HTC but they decided not to and went to the One X+ because the original One X got more sales. I got to keep the prototype since I modded it.
I have a PhenomII X6, 26GB of RAM, the new LG Nexus motherboard and screen INSIDE my Rezound, and it transforms into the new 2013 Porsche Cayman. Also, because Android still sucks even the newest Jelly Bean, I installed iOS6.5 (The new developer beta version of iOS7, unreleased. I actually got this straight from an inside source inside of Apple
I am willing to prove it too, just tell me what you want to see, except for actual pictures. Agree 100%.
To help stay a little on topic, I don't feel the Inc2 was more refined. It had and still has it's own issues. HTC, or Verizon as I'm not sure who made all of the decisions here, did remove some things that I liked but it was done after many complaints of Sense being to heavy. So, it is just a different phone.

Software wise and performance wise, Dinc4G is better and more refined than Dinc2. The toggles will come with root and all, and dinc2 too never had them stock. I believe even stock Android doesn't have those features. It is the by products of dev mods... But then, I feel the Dinc4G cheaped out on build quality, whereas the Dinc2 had a metal body, this is plastic all over...

Native ICS is great. On the Incredible 2 checkerboard rendering made some websites unusable. I can see it on the Incredible 4G but just barely.
I think reception is slightly better on the Incredible 4G. It will be interesting to use 4G when it gets here.

well those arent phone specific comparisons, so much as the versions of sense they use
sense4.xx and quick settings is hit or miss: sometimes htc includes them in the system and enables them; sometimes they include them and disable them, sometimes they remove them completely
and the 3 dot thing is ics specific, custom roms remove them...and *most* htc sense4.1 updates (not ours for some reason) includes an option in settings to disable it and change button mappings

Key Lime Pie for the DNA a possibility?

First of all i would like to say a huge THANK YOU to the developers that have put their time and energy into the DNA.
Secondly i just wanted to inquire if there would be any possibility of the DNA getting Key Lime Pie (when it releases of course) with the assistance of the talented developer repertoire?
There's a possibility i'll win the lottery tomorrow.
So I would say yes, there is a possibility.
With HTC's track record and this being a Verizon only device, I would bet on no. Not to mention that they have already shifted their focus to the M7 which seems to be headed for a multi-carrier release. I'm sure they will go (almost) all-in with the M7 since it might make or break them in a lot of ways.
Just my opnion, but like was said above, anything is a possibility.

and to the OP, we most likely won't see KLP officially on our phone, but considering the M7 is mostly the same hardware as the DNA, It SHOULD be easily ported. I had a rezound that had ICS and Sense 4 long before ICS was officially supported on the phone and that phone NEVER officially got Sense4.
not to mention someone already has Sense 5 on their DNA (sense 5 being released with the M7)
Has Key Lime Pie actually been talked about anywhere besides rumors though?? just curious.

Which would be a shame. I was thinking about picking up this phone outright. The M7 doesn't impress me at all.

What doesn't impress you about the M7?
The only "con" I can see is .3" smaller of a screen than the DNA. Other than that, it is mostly an improvement over the DNA.

Not enough of a difference to make me say I regret getting the DNA.

If you already have the DNA, you shouldn't regret it. I doubt the M7 will be a night and day difference in performance. It all depends on Sense 5 for noticeable performance gains imo.

Fingers crossed

i dont regret getting my DNA. its an excellent phone. Key Lime Pie is slated for a release sometime in May, so i was just wondering if the DNA would get it in one way or the other. I mean, my OG Incredible got a Jellybean port lol

Your son most likely has it on full brightness and playing games all day because if you're comparing the battery life with the tb...oh man... But battery isn't bad at all

Yea, it doesn't have any of the red accenting (or anything similar to that) that gives the DNA it's premium feel.
Also, I believe that the DNA will get KLP since its so popular and such a super phone.

Yeah I am very interested to see how sense 5 is. I like 4+ but I hope that the scrolling from screen to screen isn't so heavy. That's the only reason I use nova prime on this phone.
