[Q] Need the mobile hotspot apk - Motorola Droid RAZR

Was screwing around trying to get the wireless tether to work, and decided to backup then uninstall the mobile hotspot with titanium backup. Except for some reason TB won't restore it now. Can someone post it up for me?

It's dangerous to go alone, take this! http://www.mediafire.com/?7w6t68o0xcc24d0,ropfja21j9wvv2d P.S. That's the closest thing I could find.

Did you find a resolution for this? I did the exact same thing.

I tried ImAustin's apk, which wouldn't install (thanks for the try though). However, I found a workaround. All I did was install "Hotspot Widget" by Muller from the market. Once i put the widget on my home screen, I was good to go again.

I've had the same problem. I've tried re-installing it with TB but it never completes a restoration of the app. I also tried ImAustin's apk and no luck

Wow, didn't expect this topic to still be alive.
Yeah, I did get mine fixed. I copied the APK and whatever that secondary file that some apps have to the system folder where they're all stored, and made sure the permissions were the same as the other APK's in the folder.
The updates don't look to see if the apps are installed, they just check to see if the files are in the right location. I ended up having to fix the Slacker radio app in the same way.

VERY quick google, and I think this thread is close enough to what I did

Just found this link and installed it and seems to work fine on my nook
androidtablets.net/forum/nook-color-apps-games/13814-google-docs-app.html
Any solution here for docs except than using an old version?
@greiland: to use facebook you just need the "tethergps lite" app to spoof a gps location.

Setting Home Launcher - Solving setting Default

Thanks to others for the ADB version of how to do this, however there is a quicker method through Titanium Backup by searching for the 'Launcher' app and 'freezing' it.
Mission Accomplished in 1min!

Thanks. For this particular action however, is root needed? I know TIB has some functionality without root required.
Not sure really as mine is rooted....sorry!
Greater minds than mine might confirm one way or another!

OK thanks. I'll try later after work to see if it works or not without root and will update.
Cheers!
you can pm block stuff on firehd without root. TiBU falls back on this function, if it cannot detect root.
there's also this highly useful software that works on firehd (and just about any kitkat/4.4 device)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/debloater-remove-carrier-bloat-t2998294
it also works fine on pre-4.4 devices (e.g. fire TV) but only if they are rooted.
it's sort of like a very-stripped-down-TiBU for Windows. sometimes it's nice to be able to filter and enable/disable large scale, without having to click around an android app
pretty sure someone alreary mentioned, but make sure you have a 2nd Launcher installed before you disable spamazon launcher
I forget if there is a way to recover from that or not.

(if am remembering this correctly (too lazy to search for my old posts lol) - pre-4.4 doesn't have 'pm block' only 'pm disable' - "disable" requires root, "block" does not. titanium understands this difference, but treats both as "freezing" - so does the above windows software tool. if you freeze stuff in titanium, the windows tool will show it as blocked or disabled. if you block or disable stuff in the windows tool, titanium will show it as frozen.)

I have just resolved this issue.
If you have installed recently an app, it might be that same app causing the bug.
What you should do is simply uninstall it.
In my case it is "Light Manager : Led Settings".
Smart Manager is working fine now.
Let me know if this worked for you too.

Customize App Twin List

Hey,
on older Huawei devices you were able to add any app you want to the App Twin feature using this method: https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-clone-any-application-with-emuis-app-twin-feature-no-root/
It doesn't seem to work anymore for the M20P. Does anybody know if something changed? Did I miss something?
Thanks
Hello,
Just now I was searching about this method, but I didn't try till now. I will try it and will update if still working or not.
---------- Post added at 07:58 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:16 AM ----------
Also here, not working.
I cannot use the command "setting put"
Any help?
not working for me either
I also tried this to clone YouTube and although the command succeeds and show its its fine, I ran to see list after and it showed as being "twined" it never actual;y does it on the phone
I wonder if any EMUI 9 updates killed this ability

ADB on LG V60 (SOLVED)

Trying to run the adb commands for system ui tuner and I get this message when trying to allow usb debugging on my pc. Because an app is obscuring a permission request, settings can't verify your response. Anyone have an idea of what app it's referring to?
You need to disable the write over other apps permissions that you set because one of those apps is what's causing it. I don't know which one, I just know that that was the consensus and it fixed it for me.

I thought this was interesting....
https://github.com/zjkhiyori/hack-root
The developer is claiming that it gives you root level access in an ADB shell without having root. Maybe somebody here can use it to solve our bootloader issue....

Chronus Pro, been using it for years.
Figured it out took it out of the double case and it worked fine, must have been something to do with the magnet.

Turn off accessibility altogether. If that doesn't work, no idea.

I hear all the time magnets have no effect on modern phones. If you ever use a magnetic accessory you stop saying that.

It uses a magnetic charger when in the dual screen case, took it out and plugged into usb and it worked. Back in the dual screen case with magnetic charger I can run the commands just needed it out of case to get permissions from my PC i guess.

It's simply because of an app displaying over other apps on your phone.
Simply take away all the permissions of the apps displaying in the overlay and you're good to go.
Probs the dual screen overlay app.

And then when you took the charger out it reset it.
