Q: Wasn't superclean jt and adryn's rom?
A: Of course. I'm just lazy and couldn't think of anything else to call it, since its not a TSM Rom, and I consider myself to be on good terms with those guys, so I don't think they care.
Q: Will you support this or is this a one time release? (sc):
A: I will support this until everything I aimed to do for it is done. At that point it will just be a nice (i hope) stock + rom, not to be confused with resurrection.
Q: Is EH03 a leak or an ota?:
A: It was previously leaked, but on 12/1/11 it did ota
Q: Can I make suggestions/requests for features to be put in?
A: Of course, but remember its a stockish rom, so I won't go overboard.
Q: My google maps always freezes/locks up, what can I do?
A: This is a major issue for many users across all tw gb roms. Some suggestions are changing memory or kernel settings, or uninstalling google maps and reinstalling from the market.
Q: What kernels work with eh03?
A: The usual suspects.
Q: Ok, but which one do you recommend?
A: Depends on what you want. Stock performance on eh03 is greatly improved and for the first time its *almost* possible imo to run stock and be somewhat happy. I personally use comradesven's kgb kernel series, and enjoy them. It has all the bells and whistles, improves awful tw gb mem management, and doesnt have any serious issues. If you want something a little closer to stock than djp's geewhiz kernels in his rom thread are very reliable and perform well. I know many run imoseyen's lean kernel, but the latest breaks video playback and he splits his time amongst at least 3 phones, and aosp and oem skin kernels and just doesnt have the time to put his all into i500 kernels imo. But again this is just my .02 and not gospel, obviously.
Q: Is there a mez/showcase version?
A: Yes, on rootzwiki.
Q: Can you put adblocking into the rom?
A: Generally speaking I do that in my roms, but since this is meant to be an enhancement to the stock rom, no. Ad block does interfere with a limited # of apps/games, and many people want it undone immediately. Download adfree from the android market and run that to remove apps.
Q: With the 0.5 update, voice to text and navigation is screwed up and fcing help?
A: Wipe data in voice search and/or maps in settings -> manage applications or with tibu
Q: How do I add apps/icons to the dock on touchwiz 3 and 4?
A: open app drawer -> click on soft menu key -> view type -> customizable grid -> soft menu key again -> edit -> drag icon into dock -> soft menu key -> save
Q: I am having issues with the stock gallery locking up/force closing, help?
A: Download quickpic from the market...for whatever reason both eh09 and eh03 (dont know about ei20) have had issues with this even stock.
Q: Umm, I'm having issues and wanted to logcat them, but logcat isnt working?!?!?
A: If you are using eh09 or ei20 kernels with eh03, there are some driver issues that prevent it from working. It seems to be the only drawback from using those kernels afaik.
A2: as of late December, comradesven as a fix for logcat when using ei20/eh09 based kernels with eh03...check his kgb rom thread here
Q: What is the recommended radio?
A: Thats subjective to each phone/location. I have found the EH03 radio works a tad better than ec09 for me, others are the opposite. Some still prefer eb01. When going to a new radio however, I recommend doing a *228 to update your prl...seems to help :shrugs:
Q: How is performance relative to MTD/other touchwiz?
A: Let's face it, MTD is faster...I don't think anyone would debate that. If you are using touchwiz instead of MTD, I would assume you have a reason other than performance though. But compared to eh09 and ei20 I think there is a noticable bump in real world performance, benchmarks aside...and the semi-annoying random screen on moments from ei20 aren't present.
Q: I flashed the aosp lockscreen patch but I'm still getting the puzzle answer screen when I get a call, heh?
A: In settings - > display change from puzzle to glass for unlock screen.
Q: When will this reach *final* status?
A: Probably soon. I've knocked off most of my to-do list and since (again) this is a stock + rom there is not much left to do. I'd imagine that 0.6 or 0.7 will be final unless something comes up or we get a magical new leak.
A2: as of 1/5/12 eh03 has gone to *milestone* status with a final eh03 release. similar to 0.5, but with some differences. if/when vzw or another carrier has another leak/release superclean may make its way to that, assuming its a quality release/leak.
Q: Can you give me a more specific rundown of eh09/ei20/eh03?
A: alright
Eh09: 2.3.4, officially for the uscc mesmerize, cs showcase, and some of the other regional variants, kernel source is out, benchmarks (ugh) 950-1100 quadrant on stock rfs kernel, native google search/apps, power control extra toggle is sound/vibrate not mobile data
ei20: 2.3.5, officially out for uscc mes now (i think) and acg and a few other carriers, kernel source is out, benchmarks about same as eh09, native google search/apps, random screen on moments happen occasionally, power control extra toggle is sound/vibrate not mobile data
eh03: 2.3.5, official verizon rom that was leaked before eventually being an ota, kernel source is now out and being integrated into custom kernel, but eh09/ei20 kernels are compatible, save for the fact they break adb logcat (there is a fix now though), reported benchmarks stock are anywhere from 1450-1700 stock rfs on quadrant, native bing search/apps but not as instrusive as in eclair/froyo, better real world performance than the other 2 imo, power control extra toggle is mobile data, not sound/vibrate
Q: Are you going to make any themes for this?
A: Aside from the mild tw4 icons and and images I put in this rom to clean it up a bit, no. I do still enjoy theming (you may recall I used to put out dozens of themes before getting into roms) but to maintain a rom AND themes for that rom is tough. I tried it on the inc2 but got to be too much, so aside from the theme in the rom, I will not do independent themes.
Q: It seems like no one makes any themes anymore, are there any?
A: Well times have changed. Back in the heyday of this phone, there was 10 or so active themers, plus another 10 people who did 1 off or two themes...and there was basically only one or two roms: superclean and maybe something else...and eventually comrom became the big thing. Now there is a much smaller community and many use aosp, and most themers have either stopped theming, or gotten new phones. That being said, notta has some wonderful themes out for several roms, including this rom, see the thread here.
Q: Is the ota eh03 from 12/1 any different than the leak this was based off of?
A: Essentially they are the exact same thing. A slightly newer vzw navigator is about all (which I dont include in this rom anyway). So there is no need to take the ota to get some magically different rom package.
Q: What is a milestone version of the rom?
A: Just means its essentially final for whatever release version sc is based on. GAPPS removed to keep rom more up to date.

Instructions
1. Make a nandroid backup
2. Download zip file for the package of your choice from OP to your SD card
3. Download these files to your PC:

- Complete stock EH03 package: http://www.multiupload.com/4LC6JFCSFD

4. Boot phone in download mode by powering phone off, hold down vol button on phone, connect cable to PC (there is no need to remove battery)
5. Open Odin, place complete EHO3 ROM file in PDA slot, atlas_v2.2.pit in PIT, and check "Re-Partition," and click Start
6. Phone should now reboot into UNROOTED EH03 - once it does, power back off, go back into Download Mode
7. Flash Clockwork Recovery in Odin (clear "Re-Partition" and "Auto-Reboot" check boxes)
8. Power off phone, then boot into Clockwork Recovery by holding both vol buttons and power button
9. Flash the zip file you downloaded in Step 2 in Clockwork Recovery
10. Profit

i refuse to use benchmarks....but i think someone said in a thread on the stock kernel they were getting 1300 or so in quadrant...which seemed high for rfs

you could also odin the full eh03 file, and then push cwr afterwards as well
or if you use heimdall just dont flash recovery
I'm very surprised at the radio speed test results. Eh 03 was 25% higher on upload speed but way slower on download speed than ec 09. All tests conducted on the same spot in my house within 15min and after 228 option.
Noticed no difference here.

2.5.1.2 (or something like that) is what seems to work best w/ tw gb roms

Yea my download speeds are around 400kbps and upload speeds around 700kbps. a lot slower than I was getting on ed05 or ec09. I will try and be patient though.

IF HAVING PROBLEMS, TOTAL WIPE MIGHT BE NEEDED WITH ROM MANAGER
Get ROM Manager from market and open program and install, "Flash ClockworkMOD Recovery". Then reboot into recovery and do these wipes:
Go to: mounts and storage
*format boot
*format system
*format data
*format cache
*format sd-ext
Go back and go to: advanced
*Wipe Dalvik-Cache
This should do a total complete wipe of your ROM if your encountering errors. Its the only way to make sure any remnants of prior ROM's are flushed out.

I also get stuck from time to time. This is the way I do mine
1. Backup via Titanium Backup.
2. Backup the Sd to your computer. Very Important.
3. Make EXT 3 partition if needed. Various methods. I also use this program to check if I made EXT3 -Partition Wizard Home Edition 5.2.
4. When you make the partition, it wipes all data, that is why you copy your SD card to your computer, after you partition, you then have to copy the data back.
5. I use Rom Manager to install the ROM from my SD card.
There are more steps, hopefully this may help you.

1) Put "autostart.sh" file in SD Card.
2) Get "Root Explorer" from market and copy file from SD Card and past it in data/opt folder, copying over previous "autostart.sh" file.
3) Then press on "autostart.sh" and execute it. Menu light should work.

If this doesn't work for you then that you need to redo the HBOOT on your Nexus One. I did this and it worked for me. Its fairly complicated so use caution when doing this:
1)Download FRF30 and save as PASSIMG.zip in SD Card.

2)Download ADB.zip and extract flash_image and mtd0.img to your ADB tools folder.

Also you are not sure if you can flash another kernel? That would be my ONLY draw back because I run a WM kernel from 8/27 due to my crazy work schedule its the only kernel that will last all day.

I can't boot the rom. It stays on "htc quietly brilliant" with the green droid all the time and then show me "limited service" but it doesn't give me chance to enter pin code.
Then, it goes to the htc quietly brilliant logo again and again...
pd: I did all wipes, sdcard with no partitions and no files on it.

FM radio works. Wifi and USB mount works. Only Wifi Hotspot might not work. Still testing Hotspot.

Strong work! You themed it exactly to my taste. It took me hours to get CM nightly looking like that with NXsense, supercircle C battery, and DTa2ext. One step closer to perfection! Good to see a second Desire ROM that's worth something!
ditto. No problems here on any rom yet as far as capacitive lights or flashing a rom. hboot.33 Just as a test maybe somebody with the problems as far as lights go could try to revert to hboot .33 just as a test to see if it fixes the lights and other possible problems. Might still be h/w related but it's worth a shot.
General Overview
ED01 based and removed all Samsung apps and bloatware, removed touchwiz components and apps, added in AOSP apps, themed frameworks and some apps. If you are coming from a stock ED01 non rooted build follow these instructions:
Download Evil Fascination and place it on your SD card

Remove battery from the phone
Connect the phone up through USB and hold volume down during the connection
Your phone will be in download mode
Open up Odin and click on the pda button and select the recovery file
Click Start on Odin - phone will reset when flashed
Hold volume up and down and insert battery back into the phone and boot it up. Hold volume up and down while it boots up and it will boot into CWM recovery. If it has boot up to the startup animation you will need to start over and reflash recovery through odin
When you are in CWM recovery continue with the instructions below.
If you are already rooted with CMW 2.5.x.x or 3.0.x.x. installed follow these instructions:
Boot into CWM recovery
Select Wipe data/factory reset
Select Install zip from sdcard and select where you stored the rom
Screen will flash during install
Reboot phone after installation
If you are not voodoo you will be converted to voodoo during the bootup (do not be alarmed by the womans voice during installation)
Install complete!

When setting up status bar there will be a big black spot where the clock should be. This is due to the clock font being black by default. Change this in the TSM settings. Just change the font color to white and reboot. I have a screenshot to how I have the status bar icons setup. There is a slight lag when changing status bar icons. The charging icon sometimes will not go away if you are plugged in while hiding it in the settings. Try to toggle it on and off in the settings when not plugged in.

Probably answering my own question here, but do we need to use the same procedure as is listed for Adry's release? Going back to EB01 and flashing this over it? If I remember correctly, the first EC01 build was not a "complete" ROM, and needed to be loaded on top of another.

Muji you read my mind. I am still on EC10 and didnt know when reading if i would have to follow directions for EC01 thru odin or just flash this thru cwm
I had already followed the procedures from Adry to get to EC01. Today I flashed this just the CWM just like any other ROM.
So in my experience, if you are on EC01 just flash like a rom.
If you are not on EC01, convert to EC01 first then flash this rom in CWM.

This is Adryns rom just debloated. You will be flashing the same thing twice if you flash adryns first.

***Welcome to ComRom 2.0! This is an extension of the previous thread here...which I think we can all agree become an unmanageable crapfest real quick ***
*The op consists of several posts, in my attempt to better manage the rom going forward.
***6.20.11: (probable) last release for froyo...version 2.1 is up...see posts below for changelog and download...its a patch to flash on top of 2.0...no need to wipe, just flash over...then on to gb!
-2.0 is by no means the "final" version of com rom...we already have several things in the works for 2.1+ (sbrissen is a "smali beast" as someone once said)
*So what is Com Rom/UKB then? Basically it was the next stage in adrynalyne's superclean roms which have been going since dl09 (and since dio1 through jt1134). Its a stripped down version of touchwiz (in this case ED01 froyo) with enhancements/mods/themes...basically more functionality.

*3 versions (2 with voodoo kernels, 1 with no kernel)
*includes TSM Parts (multiple lockscreen options, status bar tweaks, spare parts)
*first froyo rom on sgs phone (i think) to have sgs2 lockscreen

Q: Who/What is TSM/TeamSbrissenMod
A: Short version: a few of from xda/irc who work on projects together and generally just hang out in irc a lot
A: Longer version: we started it as a joke (see the early @teamsbrissenmod tweets for an idea), but then bendbowden started making vanilla aosp mods and releasing under the TSM banner. In the lull between ec10 for the mez and EC01/ED01 Adrynalyne asked if a few of us wanted to team up for the next version of whatever rom he did post-superclean and TSM went from there. Its named after sbrissen, because hes ridiculously smart and talented...and deserves all the kudos you can give him.
Q: I'm on RCxx from testing...should I bother upgrading to 2.0 final? I don't want to wipe again!
A: Umm, I guess that depends on what version you are on. If you are on RC1...then I would say absolutetly! The fc bug from sgs2 lockscreen is present and I'd imagine you want to fix that. RC2 fixes that. RC3 fixes the empty space on the status bar where the clock should be after a data wipe. Final version fixes music in the car cradle.
Q: Which version of the rom do you recommend?
A: Again..it depends on what you want. If you are someone who has no interest in overclocking but likes to run some undervolt without having to tinker around, try the pbj variants (try -50 first, then -100...many can't run the latter). If you like overclocking or enjoy setting the steps/voltage then go with the OTB version. Or if you have other kernel preferences just flash the no kernel version and use one of jt1134's kernels, or times_infinity's comavolt!
Q: I don't like how you themed (insert app) or why did you use (insert app) instead of (insert app)!!!!!! WHY DID YOU DO THIS?!?!?!
A: Frankly you can't please everyone. Many of the theming decisions or using aosp apps instead of samsung or vice versa just came down to what we (or in theme case me) felt worked best with the rom. I doubt more than a handful of people would run the EXACT same setup (down to each individual apk) if they were given the choice. We try and accomodate people through patches as best we can.
Q: Swype expired, whats going on????
A: Sorry, someone took care of swype for us...so we werent tracking it...there are patches out there, I will link to one of them tomorrow when I have time to sift through.
Q: I hate ec09!!! Please tell me you will continue to be working on froyo versions!
A: Umm...well sorry ...at this time we are only planning on TW Gingerbread releases going forward...yes eco9 is buggy, but at least imo still good enough to be on (sdcard and usb debugging issues are a pita, i admit)
Q: How can I fix the fc on calendar notifications?
A: Go into calendar--settings--select default ringtone...and pick something other than the default one

*deskcradle will not work with rom
*when you first select MIUI lockscreen if you are plugged in, it will say "connect charger" just disconnect and reconnect and its fine
*MIUI lockscreen when plugged in will tend to run your processor at or near maximum mhz. (seems to do this on most phones)..you may choose not to use it when plugged in
*LP users, will have an initial issue with contacts..see chopper's fix here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14474899&postcount=5
*build.prop is incorrect for version 2.1...it still says UKB 2.0 (my bad) *6.24
*swype version used in rom has expired, will post patch soon *6.24

Instructions
Installing Com Rom
1. download rom version of your choice
2. move to your sdcard
3. boot into cwr (3.0 preferred..should work with 2.5 but edify scripts can be nasty with it sometimes..testers say it worked though)
4. wipe data/cache/davlik cache (if you dont, expect issues...and also dont bother bug reporting..we wont help you!)
5. select install from sdcard
6. select rom .zip
7. reboot
8. wait 5+ minutes for phone to boot up (it takes awhile)
9. profit (or not if it bootloops)

(I would go further to say dont flash **** from people who tell you to wipe data 3X Times...but im a jerk)

For Reporting Issues:
(If you Do Not follow these instruction exactly, we will ignore your pleas for help!)
1) post your exact setup (version of com rom, kernel, voltage settings, any other mods you did flash)
2) did you wipe data/cache/davlik cache before flashing the rom
3) what rom/setup did you flash com rom over
4) what is your *specific* problem...not "omgz ma ****z be borked yo"...that helps no one and frankly is annoying to see...
5) ive said this 500 times already, but hey whats once more? POST AN ADB LOGCAT OF YOUR YOUR BOOTLOOP/FORCE CLOSE PROBLEMS/ETC...it aint hard

just curious.. my Epic was RFS and when we converted it and used EXT4 it was screaming fast.. so I'm curious what moto put in the photon.

I was able to put the Alien theme on here. Did ADW Launcher EX come already installed? I had it. And my phone reboots as it's installing an app from the Market. This is after flashing the market zip.

A few people have PM'ed me asking about donating. Well, I dont/wont ever ask for donations and honestly I prefer to NOT get donations. Issues: When it first boots it prompts you to sign in to your google account right away. Just back out of it and it will start the HTC set up wizard
When in the HTC setup wizard and you get to the time zone section setup will FC if you try changing it. Dont try changing it, just hit "finish" and then manually change it in settings
Version 1.5:
Even more bloat removed. Version 1.3 was 438MB, Version 1.4 was 391MB and now Version 1.5 382 MB

this is the rom im dreaming of! no sprint mobile bull crap i use my view for wifi only. and was hoping something like this comes along. is the bluetooth working in airplane mode? im always on airplane coz i dont want the mobile radio sucking some of my view's juice. hope there is away to disable the 4g/3gwimax hardware of the view

Bluetooth doesnt work in AP mode. But it wasnt working for me on the stock Hc rom in AP mode either even though someone said with HC it would. After I upgraded to Hc I tried and when it's in AP mode it doesnt allow you to select BT. Once I get all the little kinks out of the way I will work on that.
So far even though this rom is Alpha is running really well (for me on wifi, not sure how it will run on someone with 3g/4g though) I havent found really any issues big enough that would stop this from being a daily driver. Everything seems to work (havent tested mobile connections obviously since I only use it on wifi) I'm uploading the next version now that has an updated gmail (the tablet version), some more HTC apks removed and I now have the stock HC bootanimation working

Couldn't you use the calculator trick to disable the radio?
Go into landscape in the calculator app, and enter:
!+!+4636+!+! and hit =
Select tablet info. Scroll down and hit turn off radio.

If I'm reading this correctly, does that mean Settings is still "Sensed"? If so, any ETA on this - the non-HC settings screen drives me nuts.

It's going to be the next thing I tackle once I get all the little things out of the way. It might be tough to get a fully stock settings though because I think some of it depends on the HTC framework(the pen settings for example). Plus I have to hunt down all the resources for it because it doesnt look like they are all confined in the apk(I'm not really sure though because I havent really dove in a taken a good hard look at it, I just gave it a once over quick) If worst comes to worst and we cant get the stock one working I will just theme the **** out of it and try my hardest to get it to look as close to stock as possible. But yeah I HATE the sense settings so I want it gone just as much as you
I got the stock browser working now That will be in the next release, I cant get stock contacts to work but stock mms works(I think because I cant send texts lol)

Hey, would you be interested in working with a friend and I to get this to a full stock looking honeycomb rom? I work on roms and my friend is a themer so we can actually have honeycomb icons instead of the ugly off-grey colored ones.
Any suggestions on the best way for me to get from clevernamehere's gb rom to this? A few pointers would be great.

ok... so I started messing with settings.apk.. I got most of the icons on the left hand side stock. All of them except for 3. Pen, Location and Power. This is because in stock HC Location and Security are together, there is no power and there is no pen. These will have to be custom made images and I'm not really a graphic design person. for the time being I will work on getting the background color something different besides white
