[APP] - Themed BlurDialer.apk and BlurPhone.apk - Motorola Photon 4G

First, I want to thank MedicStuder who posted the first themed dialer for us today. So props to you because this themed dialer that I've made was possible. I also wanted to thank Nottach from the Atrix forums for pointing me in the right direction.

BlurDialer.apk
BlurPhone.apk
Changelog:
2011_11_24-2 - Figured out the tab above the dialer and changed it to black
2011_11_24 - Figured out the background image...took a while to line up the pressed image with the lines..LOL and moved the delete arrow a bit to the left to not overlap with the text box
2011_11_23 - Changed the delete arrow coloring to blue and black when pressed..Can't figure out this damn contact picture right next to *18 in picture..where the hell is that!?
2011_11_20 - Changed in-call contact pic to blue Android - attempted to change arrow in text field to theme black and blue...didn't work..wondering if that's a sys or framework thing...
To install - MAKE A NANDROID BACK UP FIRST JUST IN CASE
- Download both apks to your sdcard
- Move them to the /system/media/ folder
- Change permissions to: rw-r-r for both
- Move both apks to the /system/app/ folder
- Reboot and enjoy!!
Things to do:
1) [DONE] Theme the BlurPhone.apk
2) [DONE] I would like to remove the lines under the Add to contact and Microphone buttons.
3) [DONE] I want the top section (dialer, recent, contacts, favorites) with a black background
4) Make the text section where it shows your most recent call in black as well
5) Make contact image (next to *18) the Android from the ic_pane Android
Any help would be totally appreciated!! Thanks to the devs and again give thanks to MedicStuder!

Nice start.....

[APP] - Themed BlurPhone.apk
I updated the original post with the BlurPhone.apk - It's not much of a theme, but I hope this helps people out there!

I like it. So does the contact photo ever show or just the blue android guy?

The contact will show if you have a picture for that contact in place. If you don't have a picture, then the Android will show. If you have an unknown, the Android will show.

Updated BlurDialer.apk

Take a look at this it might help you with removing the lines in the dialer. Maybe you can open the apk and have a look.

Actually, as it turns out it looks like each number has the line built in, so the background can be completely blank. This was really helpful. I'll try to get to work on this tomorrow!

Hey bear,
Got this dialer to work out now. It's actually the background image that needed changing up! Thanks for the post though! NEW DIALER IS UP ON OP!
EDIT: Changed the dialer file there because I've finally found the background for the tabs!

So just the dialer.apk file has been updated, not the phone.apk? I just want to make sure I don't reload the file if I don't need to.
Maybe have separate changelog for each file would help?

Yes, just the dialer has been updated. Will do regarding the Change log.

Hi!
Thanks for checking it out...I'm not sure if you have to be running a de-odexed ROM to have these APKs...but you do need to be rooted to push these to the phone.
If you run Joker's ROM for the electrify, you might be able to flash my Underground Sea theme over it which includes the dialer and phone.apks..
Sorry, I wish i could help you out more, but I don't have an electrify...

I appreciate the mention man and thanks again for morphing this for us and thanks to the guy who made this slick theme as well!
Hopefully he will skin the 3g/e, mail and the other stock icons not yet skinned in the next update.
@talltexan no, best bet is to make a nandroid backup.
No there is not a stock... Im not gonna take the time to make a revert for every morph I make... just do a nandroid,
Or download NinjaMorph from the market
Pick new Projects for

system/framework/framework-res.apk
system/framework/twframework-res.apk
each of these get saved in a workspace folderand is an extracted form of the apk... to revert to stock just finish existing project and choose the desired apk to untheme....

I think I can help with that. When I first started tweaking Samsung mms, I came upon a thread from MikeyMike01 of the Captivate threads who made that nice Gingerbread version I have on Tweaker. In the thread were instruction on changing the text color. I'll try to provide you with a link later on or shoot a pm to MikeyMike01.

I'm not sure if it will make any difference, but the write box under "Group" should be unchecked too. At least that's how everything is in System/app.

Yes, theyre all the same. But when I start theming new files I make a new uninstaller because the previous one doesn't have the new files. I'm changing all my links to mediafire which will make it easier to keep organized and allow folder browsing.

Very nice/elegant brother, great work!

Though not all the themes have suited my personal taste, I just want to quickly say how utterly impressive it is that you can turn out this many themes for this phone, and that all of them just seem rock solid. The ATRIX community should consider themselves very lucky!
Speaking of my taste, if there is any way you could whip up something like the following, I would be VERY grateful:
I would love to see a theme not too different from the Motorola one in your 1% battery thread, but maybe just with a nice circular battery, black task bar (maybe a little transparent or highlighted. Whatever looks good), and a black-to-Grey transparent notification drop down, similar to the blue one in the stock ROM. To whatever degree possible, I would also like to see black menus (like the menu that pops up when menu button is pressed while on the home screen). I think that would be more in keeping with Gingerbread than the Froyo-like white ones in the stock ROM.
Anyway, I realize you are very busy, and like I said, I appreciate your work, so I'll understand if you can't get to something like this. Just a request
Thanks again!!!

Okay, I figured out how to change the little 3g/4g/H+ icons however I am having a hard time finding matching 4G icons, if someone can find the 4g ones that match the 3g ones I can do it. The sliders are easy too.
Just have to find the matching framework/systemui apk's that contain the images.
Edit: I found icons that match however they are too small. :-( The ones I have are 25x25 (MDPI) and they need to be 38x38 (HDPI)
Finally figured it out!
Found the right images and got rid of the 3g/4g/h icons included in the systemui.apk
To install copy the new systemui.apk to /system/app and overwrite the old one using Root Explorer or any other file manager.
Restart because you'll probably get a force close for the systemui.apk
When it boots back up set the permissions on systemui.apk to RW-R-R then reboot a second time and voila it will work!
Here are 3 screenshots that prove it!
I am not responsible if you **** your **** up and obviously credit goes to the OP for whipping up this amazing theme.

Very nice!
Thank's very very much for your work and specially for this theme! However, I cannot enjoy this marvel since I'm running a Bell 2.3.6 Atrix. Any chance to figure this out for a Bell? Without the rounded upper corners?
Thank you again and always willing to support your job good man!
thank you
very much
it is so good to me.
Thank you~~
If NottachTrix's ROM v1.3.1 is deodexed, why - when I flash this, does device cycle into a reboot loop immediately after showing "preparing SD card".
UPDATE: I tried several more times...only to end up re-flashing 1.3.1 (full-wipe).
wtf am I either missing or doing wrong here?

I just downloaded it. Seems to work fine but I will add another link.
Looks beautiful. My compliments to the chef.
This looks great, but the megaupload link isn't working for me.

Just installed it. I'm in love already, first theme I like more than the alien theme. However, some of the things in the Notification bar can be hard to read when dragged down. Depends what's going on in the background.

another thing I noticed, is when you click the slider out of the silent mode, it turns to normal it looks like the other side. however, when you press down on it, it shifts to the left a little.

Cherry blur is based off of a Orange France rom. This only works with att 4.5.91. You could change to a different rom but right now I do not have any plans to port it for use with cherryblur.
I've been using this theme for a bit now and its quite simple but very nice and well put toghether. Kudos! The only thing I've been having problems with is distinguishing which check marks are actually marked and which aren't. Same goes for some white radio buttons.
