Real Audio - Motorola Photon 4G

Is there any way to play real audio (.ra) files on the MoPho?
I've tried vplayer and it is not working for the websites I use.

There may be others but try Realplayer Beta: http://www.real.com/realplayer/android
Assuming it will play .ra files.

Oh god, realplayer. That brings me back. I would try and covert the file to a more standard format like mp3. I wouldn't install or trust anything from that company. Hell, I'm surprised its still around.

Unfortunately, my church likes to create .ra files for posted sermons.

I don't have a link but if you search around XDA for the VLC player aplha I'm willing to bet it plays it. VLC usually plays anything you throw at it!
Ill search for a link when i get by my comp.

Wow....would have thought Realplayer would play it's own extensions. Crazy.

Thanks for the link. However, none of these alpha versions seem to work either. My church just needs to use a different file type!

Yeah, but that would be too easy!
The description states that Real Player only plays the file types your phone can "already" play. It does not add any new codecs (even to support it's own extensions). Can we say "dumb" boys and girls!

Whaaaat!! If VLC couldn't play it then idk what to tell you! You tried the neon and non neon versions right? My last suggestion is to try rockplayer. I still say if VLC couldn't play it you're SOL. Sorry

Yeah, I too think I'm SOL with trying to play .ra files on my MoPho. Rock Player didn't work either. I guess I'm stuck with playing .ra files on my PC.
Thanks for everyone's help!

Try looking for a converter, wit doesn't RealPlayer have a built in converter?
Just convert the files with the latest version of the application.
If you have any issues, just reply.

If it can be played on the PC, it can be converted to something more standard. Normally, I would recommend something, but I haven't used anything realplayer-related in years.
Quick google turned up this:

Correct, I have software on my PC that can convert the .ra files to something more standard. My goal was to be able to directly download and play the sermons (.ra) on my phone when I'm on the go. My PC handles everything well.

Ask them to change the format. if toy are afraid to, i will. What I'd the link?

No Hulu Support? EDIT: POSSIBLE FIX

Surely someone knows how to view HULU from the Tab? I saw the apk for Plus users... what about those who are not plus users?
What are you doing to watch on your Tab?
Seems crazy to me....
EDIT.....
Thanks to the below two posts I did some searching and found the DroidLu developer came out with this app:
FLASH VIDEO BROWSER
Testing it out soon....
I use PlayOn as my workaround...good luck with your search.
www playon tv/playon

PlayOn seems interesting... is it worth the $50 fee for life? It is basically just a server so my ps3 and phone could see what the computer is playing right?

Better off with splashtop as it allows you more control of your home pc so you watch hulu, watch movies stored on your pc and also play some of your pc games...remotely
Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk
That is encouraging to hear... I got Splashtop when it was the free app on Amazon... never even opened or installed it. I will explore that tonight.
The app I put in the OP works.... you can see Hulu... but it is not prime time. Lots of hiccups.
Looks like flash browser was updated. Supports ics. Still doesn't play well with cm.

Whats the best and quickest Video converter?

I downloaded the trial of Pavtube Video Converter just to test it... And O M G Its taking over 1 hour to convert 1 movie 800mb!!! Thats slow... Is this normal?.. can someone please tell me what I should do Any tips?
I download my movies and they usually come in AVI, MKV, MOV sometimes MP4.. I was told the g3 cannot take AVI because of all the different codecs that they could come in, so you will need to convert it but guys I need the best tool for this.
Moderator edit - no asking for warez
THank you
Edit your post please Warez is banned on XDA and you are stealing from XDA members in many cases .

Look for vid con on the play store and u can try it for free for 3 days! Seems fine for me

you have been so wrongly informed - the GS3 will run those file justs fine (without the need for any conversion). If not you have issues using the stock player - use a 3rd party player than can play using software decoding.

Google "handbrake". Best free converter there is
If you download MX Player for free from the Play store then you can play all the most common video formats like avi, mp4, flv, mkv and many more. I use this myself and not had any problems at all.
Hope this helps.

I'm using Free Studio (dvdvideosoft.com) and am quite happy with its video converters. I think this software is worth trying too.

Could you be more specific or possibly provide a link. Googling video converter pulls up a bunch of free ones and I'm not sure which you're referring to. Thanks!
For me, I use asoftech video converter, you may download and have a try

Can the HTC One play mkv movies?

Or do you need to convert to other files like avi or mp4?
VLC seems to play every codec under the sun. I use it and works well for mkv and others
