I purchased a Targus Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard (has the Android logo and claims compatibility). It paired and connected without any issues and works with all of the apps that I have tried (gmail, text client, Docs To Go, etc.). It also works with Webtop apps, including Citrix (which is why I needed the keyboard).
The problem is that when the keyboard is connected, Webtop will randomly crash and re-start (Motorola logo appears and Webtop re-initializes). I have tried this many times, with and without the keyboard and it is definitely related to having the keyboard connected. Sometimes it will crash right away, while other times it will last 2 or 3 mins. It always fails with 5 mins.
I have tried it using 4G (mine will go to 3G at times due to my area) only (WIFI off) and did not effect the crashing (though WIFI does seem to have conflicts with Bluetooth being on).
Has anyone successfully had a Bluetooth keyboard work? Is there a setting I am missing?
Any help would be much appreciated.

I am using a logitech bluetooth keyboard for android 3.0+ tablets, a bit of a PITA to get it paired, but has been working flawlessly for 2 days now.

Just a heads up for anyone that gets this keyboard, pairing procedure for the razr is...
1. turn on the keyboard
2. hit the "connect" button on the bottom.
3. find the keyboard in the bluetooth menu on your phone and touch to pair to it.
4. When prompted for the password type "0000" in the popup on your razr.
5. On the bluetooth keyboard type "0000" and press enter. Its VERY important to press enter.
6 your keyboard is paired!
I've used an iPhone4 BT keyboard on my ATRIX....and on RAZR works, too.
Well it turns out the Motorola Wireless keyboard works flawlessly with Webtop as well. Guess I chose the wrong keyboard for my first try.
I am now using the Motoroal Wireless keyboard ... bought through Amazon.

For whatever it worth, I have a Bluetooth Apple keyboard that was used on my old iMac. I fiddled with settings for an hour, to no avail. This stock gTablet, updated with the latest Viewsonic updates, could not "see" any signal. (I haven't tried any tablet mods yet.)

I think from what has been posted on here, USB and BT keyboards work out of the box, but mice do not (unless you are running CM6)... the TnT-based firmwares are lacking any kind of mouse services.
Found Bluetooth keyboard that works great with G Tablet
I found it on amazon search for the following "Bluetooth HID Wireless Keyboard Mouse Control for PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone 4, PDAs" and you will find it since I can't post the link yet. It is sold and branded by CE Compass for about $38.95 shipped.
It comes with a usb bluetooth receiver you can use with Windows 7 pc's.
In order to get it working you will need to get a hold of an android application Bluetooth Keyboard Easy Connect written by a XDA forum member Mike. It works awesome but the mouse features do not work with Android.
When you boot your G Tab you set the keyboard to bluetooth discover mode and the Program Bluetooth Keyboard Easy Connect does all the heavy lifting and magically makes it work.

Short answer is yes, BT keyboards work with the GTab...but be aware that some work goes into making that work with any degree of reliability. see below
I did not make an attempt tp connect a BTKB (bluetooth keyboard) until i flashed a custom rom on my gtab, so i can not speak to whether it will see/pair/connect to a BTKB out of the box.
I am running TNT lite v4.4.0 with a Clemsyn froyo kernel, this setup runs so good it gives me chills. I am using a Motorola XOOM/ATRIX keyboard at the moment, awesome BTKB by the way.
You can use a terminal emulator and root explorer to connect your keyboard once it's in discovery mode (blinking usually), make sure you have root access. You will need hcitool, hciconfig, and hidd; get them here: bluetooth_tools.zip. I had the first two, but had to manually move hidd into /system/xbin using root explorer.
from root type: hcitool scan this will scan for any bluetooth device transmitting, and display the MAC address and name of said device. once you have that MAC addy, type: hidd --connect 00:00:00:00:00:00 replace the zeros with the MAC address you just got in the previous step. your keyboard should now be connected.
unfortunately your keyboard isnt permanently connected. When you power down the device, turn off the BT, or if it glitches up; you would have to do all that again. as I am a energy efficient type, I don't like this. So for me, the answer was to install bluetooth keyboard easyconnect and bluez IME from the android market, and when I power on my G Tablet, i go open the bluetooth keyboard easyconnect app, and BOOM, I have a connected bluetooth keyboard, yay
flexing your commandlinefu can be gratifying, but alot of times there is a much simpler solution just a few searches away.
I have this same problem - I can connect from Terminal but it's tedious and every few hours or so I have to reconnect.
I installed both of these apps but they arent seeming to help - what options are you using in Bluez IME? i.e. which device driver? I have the same XOOM keyboard.
Just tried the new Logitech Tablet Keyboard (for Android 3.0, according to the box), and it paired with my CM7 rom on the G-tablet.
I haven't tried other roms so I don't know if it is this simple, but I've tried turning everything off and on again to make sure it is permanently connected- even a soft reset, still turn on BT, turn on KB, wait about 10 seconds, and its connected. Awesomesauce.
Only thing that irks me is that the function keys don't do what they say ("home" and "search" are actually "menu", and "menu" key seems to do nothing). But as a KB, this is pretty perfect.

Actually, not all TnT based firmware has problems. On stock TnT .4349, I've used both wired & wireless usb mice & keyboards. (wired Logitech & Dell) and a wireless USB keyboard by Gyration
Motorola Full Size Wireless Keyboard with BT works with GtabComb3.2 right out of the box. Function keys e.g. volume keys, email work as described. Navigation arrow keys function almost like a mouse.

I added the hidd --connect command to a gscript (available in the market) script and can run it with one tap. If you get the pro versionof gscript you can put a shortcut on the desktop.
Tried connecting various devices to my rooted Photon via Bluetooth and ran into some issues...
-My Motorola S9 earphones pair up just fine (go figure, made by Motorola).
-Tried to connect to my desktop for OBEX and the phone is only being recognized as a Dial Up Network connection. There is no option given for OBEX.
-Tried to connect to my MS Wireless Entertainment Keyboard 7000 to use with the dock. The phone recognizes it and tries to pair with it, but it asks me to type a passcode to confirm the connection, can't input the code from the keyboard side, so the connection fails.
Anyone else having any issues with Bluetooth? I know my desktop supports OBEX and just about any other Bluetooth profile so I don't think the problem is with the computer. The same for the keyboard, since I use it with my computer with no issues. I'm pretty sure the issues are with the Bluetooth profiles on the Photon...
I have the 6000 keyboard and there is a bit of a dance you have to do in order to pair it with an Android device. I had figured this out from trying to pair it with my gtablet. When it asks for the passkey you need to type a 4 digit number on the phone and on the keyboard. The dance part is that you also have to hit enter on the keyboard right after you type the passkey on it and have hit the button on the phone. It will take you a couple of times to get the timing right but it will work. The first time I got it to work with my gtablet it took several minutes of messing with it to get it to pair.

not sure if this is a known issue or i just have to sh*tty bluetooth devices that don't work well together
i have a "rocksoul" mouse and keyboard. when i have the keyboard alone it works great.. can navigate with the arrow keys and use alt tab.
when i hook them both up together. either the keyboard is ultra laggy or it just drops connection every 30 seconds.
is this a known issue? or should i try better devices?
also would getting a keyboard with a trackpad be a better option.. so it is one input?

If I use the mouse, I can't use the keyboard as neither will stay connected, knocking the other out of the connection. I am using rooted, but stock HC 3.2.1 ROM, and this is VERY annoying as I wanted to use it as a laptop replacement and using touchscreen with keyboard is a pain.
When using both, if I move mouse while typing, the keys will stuck and you get words like thiiiiiiiiiiiiiis.
I am able to simultaneously use a Dell Axim bluetooth keyboard and a Dell branded bluetooth mouse with my Stock Honeycomb HTC Flyer. Works like a charm.

However, I did try to pair with another mouse and I got the same result as you. Separately, each device worked properly. Together, the mouse knocked the keyboard constantly. I ended up giving up on the mouse, the keyboard is more important
I did send a message to HTC about this problem, and they said the Flyer is probably not compatible with certain devices or certain combos of devices. Standard BS response.

I have this problem, and I have had it before. I am trying to have a desktop replacement via my tablet connecting to desktop as needed. I really need to use a mouse and keyboard, preferably without cumbersom cables. I have an original xoom, this happened on the old ROM and now the JB rom I loaded. If I try to use my bluetooth mouse almost every word eeeeeeeeeeeendsssssssss upppppppppp liiiiiiiiiiiikkee tttttthhhhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiis. And forget trying to use backspace to correct any mistake, as the backspace key sticks and usually deletes EVERYTHING you typed before you can backup over the 5-10 extra letter repeats you used.
I am surprised this isn't addressed somewhere, I have had this so many times on this and my other tablets. I have even tried various bluetooth keyboard and mice. Even worse, the new microsoft sculpt mouse detects as a keyboard and a mouse, and the "use physical keyboard" button doesn't work (if you click off, it just stays on and shows on, no matter what I do. So if I even attempt to use this new mouse, I can't even get the on-screen keyboard to work.
Right now I have to either use the mouse (and turn the mouse off to type on screen), or turn the mouse off and keyboard on while I type something up. I'm almost in tears as I am partially disabled, and all my attempts to ease myself back into using a computer, I run into new issues.
In short, I can't buy anything new, I really need to use this Xoom for now. I can't use a USB device well, it is too cumbersom, I can't dock it and use the USB, I need to stick with bluetooth. I have a Microsoft Mobile Bluetooth keyboard 6000 and a Microsoft Sculpt Keyboard.
I have tried an app called keyboard helper pro, but it doesn't work at all.
I can use a different ROM, but I would really prefer a newer one as the extra keys and mouse features seem to pass through (such as using the right mouse button, instead of having to hold the left button down, when connected to my desktop.)
Any pointers? I heard something about the bluetooth stack being changed. I haven't found out what/why/how the windows key and right mouse button work (they didn't in older android versions).

You posted in the forum section for the HTC Flyer. Find the forum section for the Xoom, and you might get better help.
I'm finding the pairing of the Folio Keyboard with my Nexus 9 to be problematic. I'm not sure if this is because there's an issue with NFC on either device or I'm just doing it wrong.
Pairing the keyboard using only bluetooth works but needs to be triggered by selecting the already paired with keyboard in bluetooth settings and can take 10s of seconds before it is connected. I expected that the keyboard would connect as soon as it came in range of the NFC chip, but it doesn't. I think NFC at least partially works as the keyboard is detected by the tablet as a trusted device via NFC. When I follow the directions to pair the keyboard via NFC by placing the tablet on it in the right manner it does not pair though I hear a tone when the doing it, that doesn't happen when I change the orientation of the tablet. From this I conclude that the NFC hardware works but something in my use of it, the configuration of the tablet or a system bug is stopping it working properly.
1) Is it a reasonable expectation that I can be expect once pairing has been completed that placing the tablet on the keyboard will be recognised by NFC without having to lay the tablet in the manner described in keyboard documentation?
2) Assuming the desired outcome as described above is possible will this trigger the tablet to turn on bluetooth (if it is turned off) or is it necessry for bluetooth to be either manually turned on, left on or find some other mechanism that triggers bluetooth to be turned on in order to connect the keyboard?
3) Is it a reasonable expectation that keyboard and tablet to be quickly connected (in a second or so) via bluetooth?
1. Once they're paired. They're paired, no need for nfc.
2. It will not turn on bluetooth automatically. Just leave bluetooth on at all times.
3. Mine connects pretty quickly once I learned the proper method to do it, that being with bluetooth on, slide the camera portion of the table slowly over the portion of the folio just above the number row. And visa versa to unpair.
The only annoying thing about this keyboard folio is the fact that I need to turn back on the "hardware input" to either see the on screen keyboard when not using the tablet, and turn off the onscreen keyboard when using the folio keyboard. I wish it did that automatically. I'm either missing something, or need to figure out a way to do that with tasker, via touch imputs or something.
Yeah, once you connect via bluetooth, NFC is no longer needed.
The frustration I am experiencing is that once the keyboard is paired and connected...if I turn bluetooth off or it disconnects, it won't automatically reconnect the next time BT is turned on. Am I missing something here? It's like the keyboard is asleep and the nexus can't find it to connect to.

I generally just touch an input then hit a button on the folio keyboard. In about 1 or 2 seconds the letter will show up and the on screen keyboard will disappear. From there I just type normally.
