Anyways, source was just released a little bit ago. You can't expect awesome things to be built in such a short time. Patience is a virtue.
Generally, devs are pretty good about posting things they're working on. Considering how recent this new info is, we need to give it at least a few days before we should start questioning what's in the works.
Looking for a Droid X2 can have bad esn or good i need one for a friend thats going to Dev for us I've seen his work on the Droid 1 and its really promising if any one wants to donate one or sell there for a reasonable price let me know

Droid 1 had an unlocked bootloader. What does he know about 2nd init? Not trying to discourage him, but this phone has already scared off most developers except for maybe 3.

He actually knows a lot after the Droid 1 he went onto the Droid X did a lot of his own kernel tweaking OC building roms then went to the Droid Charge and currently is working on the Droid3. Trust me it'll be worth it.

Hurt? Guys all he did was waste our time, we didnt give him anything, we lost nothing. The minute it was said that he was bs i moved on, if we expect to furthur advance the development off our phones i suggest everyone else do the same. I too if one think the more devs we have working on our phone the better. Sandso i hope you find a phone for your buddy.

Hurt was a poor choice of word, but I agree with him. Melvin single-handedly made us all skeptical of devs we aren't already familiar with. It's a shame, but it's the truth. Not to say I believed Melvin to begin with, but it is the principal of the matter.
There's a difference here though. Melvin came out of no where where sandso has been a part of the x2 community for a long while. I guess what I'm trying to say is that sandso can be trusted because he's earned it.

Well, I have a dx2 that I would consider donating to someone who is going to use it to benefit the community, I believe it has a bad esn, but I would need another phone to replace it. Must be android, and must be better than the htc desire (which i actually like). Would love another type of phone that is android with a large screen 4+ inches. Not really looking for the original droid, but would consider anything as long as it can be modded or at least can but miui on it as I am now addicted to that.
If anyone is interested, let me know.

I never ran stock KK6 but hear it's worthless. ShoStock uses KK6 and a lot of people are very happy with it. Picking a ROM is very much a trial and error deal. Get a kernel with recovery and do a nandroid back up and try them all and if you don't like them you can easily return where you were. I don't know about your other question sadly. I did the Zedomax root a long time ago and don't remember if I had to do a full wipe. I'd say just bite the bullet and do the wipe. Back up all your info somewhere though.

This is one of the downfalls of Android being mainstream. Too many people doing things they have business doing. I partly blame blogs like Android police and phandroid. They have a habit of promoting rooting with no responsibility of showing them how. They just point everyone to XDA.

There are people working on stuff but we have no ETA's because:
1) we don't ask for eta's here, it's against xda etiquette
2) their hands are tied and they are working without source for the most part, it's hard work

Who cares what team bamf thinks. They have Devs who steal phones from people and then don't release work for months and months on end. I say share everything they want kept secret!
Also I want to point out I've had access to this since march 23 where another user on here compiled it. So this is really nothing new.

My memory is a little fuzzy seeing as how this happened a while back, but there was and still is proof if the mods have not deleted everything. Just because you have had positive experiences with some of their devs does not mean they are all good or even that most of them are good upstanding devs. There is no reason for that type of attitude either, if you cannot act like an adult and discuss things without attacking others then you should just leave the thread.
Unless you know exactly what you are talking about and were there when it happened, the phone being pretty much stolen, you may want to take your own advice.

Joelz has taken phones from people donating only to not release ROMs, drop the phone support and then go to sell them for profit. He is a part of team bamf still yes?
How about you STFU since they have had the proof of him doing so and turned a blind eye. I haven't supported team BAMF since the thunderbolt and won't long as they keep Joelz.
