i've a free-sim Nokia lumia 800. In the spanish version of w.marketplace, the Nokia Network app it isn't available too.

i can see the network settings app in zune but it has no install button so cannot install it won't get further. no simlock & device factory default, no mods no apps. i think nokia removed the app right away.

This sucks, i was waiting ages for it

Ages... ^^

Yeahh! For some reason mms not working for me. Apparently may be due to my cut down sim card. Still... This app should have fixed it for me.

And how would you do that?? If I check with my Zune link on my phone, it says that it isn't available. Don't get me wrong, I want that it is available, but it isn't unfortunately

not possible, app shows in zune marketplace once you click but the install button is not there. hence it cannot be installed.

Did someone try xap. Version ? I think I heard that it doesn't work anyway but I'm not sure...
EDIT : It doesn't work sadly...Need interop unlock for the xap...

By the information from the NOKIA UK, "Ensure you have updated the latest PR1.01 phone SW via Zune. To find out this: Go to Settings > About > More Information > Firmware revision number, if last 5 digits is 11414 then it’s PR1.0, if it’s 11451 then it’s PR1.01"
the ZUNE or program should has a protect to them,
do any one try and get the APPS NOW?

can still not find it as "network" or "network setup" in the marketplace on the phone edit: zune links has no install button no ...didn't work too

any luck installing it?

[Q] Mozart Newbie Questions

First of all i would like to thank you all because by reading your posts i've got a good impression and bought the phone and i really like it (especially WP7).
Yes, WP7, not 7.5 because i dont know how am i supposed to upgrade @ 7.5 . It tells me that it will upgrade when i will connect it to a PC. Already done that but nothint.
I've updated it but it is @ version 7.0 (7008) :|
The WiFi doesn't really work, i have a netgear router and, each time i try to connect (Right Username & Right Password) it tells me that it's impossible, why that?
The other thing is the market.. what applications will you suggest me to use?
Best Regards and Thanks.
Still not working - HELP
Wrong place to ask. Ask this in the HTC 7 Mozart "General" sub-forum.

To install any updates available you will need to download the Zune software:
http://www.zune.net/
when it is fully installed launch it, connect your phone, click settings (in the top right hand corner). Navigate to the phone settings and update. It will talk you through the update process.

The wifi in pre-mango really sucks, all-sorts of issues, you'll be happy to know that I've had these issues with it refusing to connect and refusing the correct password. The drivers included with Mango have fixed all such issues i've had and my wifi works perfectly now.

Obviously marketplace apps are personal preference. I'd recommend 'Appflow' it is a good way to find apps such as 'best mango apps' 'best live tile apps' and 'apps gone free'.
Also browse applications > all applications and swipe to the free column, the best apps are those you don't splash out on
Otherwise, try every free app and every try before you buy app you can.
Hope this helps.

Looking for: NetMonitor app for Lumia 800

Hi,
Does anyone know where can get the NetMonitor/RF Signalling app for Lumia 800?
Or if you have, could you please upload or send to me, thanks!!
Wrong thread my friend, however id like to know this too.
As far as I can see the Windows Phone 7.1 (Mango) SDK doesn't support reading out data usage information therefor currently no app in the market place will provide this functionality. I guess WP8 will make this possible as I already read MS is working hard to extend the sdk for future releases.
It might be possible by homebrew using the DllImport project, but as far as i know nobody has looked into this.
I believe each phone has its own NetMonitor app, before a new phone launch, it must do lots of test to know its performance....
few years ago, I use HTC Windows Phone, it has a app "FiledTest" to check the WCDMA/GSM network information. I wish someone can release Nokia Lumia version....
Seems I need to wait.... wait for someone release or make a app....

I was about to say, if you are talking about the Field Test app, just open the dialer and type ##3282# and you should get exactly the tool you are looking for.
##3282# not ##3823#
Anyone got this working on .11501?
It starts but says only "Loading" and thats it. No values, no numbers ...

All New Nokia Apps working on unlocked device

Hi Guys

Here is what i have working.
Nokia Drive 2.0

Nokia Creative Studio 1.0
Working on
Nokia Music 2.0
Please pm me if you would like any of these.... Dont forget to add thanks.
Oh Also please dont pm me asking how do i install the apps, If you dont know then please read the forums.
Ps... If its ok with admin i will put the xap files on the post.
Chevron unlock no longer has tokens... sad.
Nokia drive works flawlessly....thank you! I will add to your "thanks" count as soon as I get back on my computer!
Sent from my Radar 4G using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
works, thanks
Thanks mush for the help!!!
Thanks !!! Nokia drive 2 work like a charm
Also, if you're unlocked & worried about going over your side load limit of 10, you can go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1393265 & install them officially! Without it counting against your side load limit. All OEM's available, Samsung, Nokia, LG, Dell.
It's works!
Thank you, that is a perfect done.
How can you do this without being Interop Unlocked? I wasn't able to get it working, although I am developer unlocked on my Radar.
For the OEM marketplaces; Install the xap files then go to marketplace. If it hasn't changed restart your phone and check marketplace again. Should have whichever OEM you installed in marketplace. When done delete the OEM from your apps list, wait for it to revert, or install another. Worked good on both of my dev unlocked Radars.

I've done that. It told me that Nokia Drive wouldn't work on my phone. All the other Nokia apps worked fine though, but the only app I care about is Nokia Drive.
Hi,
can someone pls upload the nokia xap files to mediafire so that all can download. Am interested in Nokia Maps 1.3 & Nokia Transport 1.3
Thanks much...
@harddaysknight - yeah I had that happen with a couple of apps too when I dl'd them. Not sure if the side load versions will work, but worth a try.

Sorry, new to WP and just got my Radar. What do you mean OEM MP and how do I get there?
OEM marketplaces are just the subsections for HTC, Nokia etc. in the WP marketplace. It's only needed if you are installing the xap files from the thread I linked. If you do use those xaps, it would replace the HTC section of marketplace with whichever OEM you'd installed so you could browse & download from those OEM's apps.

I just got an HTC Radar from the Challenge and haven't used a Windows Phone since I flashed my HTC Typhoon to 6.5. Are CAB files no longer the way to install apps to Windows Phones? So to add any of these Nokia apps we'd have to install the Nokia MP? I'll go search the general WP7 section for this, but if that's the wrong place to read up on things, could someone please let me know? I just want to add Nokia Maps . Thanks!

Default search windows 7.8 please help!

I read that you could change the search from bing to google? However I can't find it anywhere?
It's the only thing not making this update perfect. By the way I'm in uk and used the disconnect trick to update but only had 3 updates the last being 7.8 am I missing something?
In Internet Explorer you can change it in browser settings. To change the physical "searchbutton" to search Google instead of Bing you need to hack your phone.
How do u do it in ie there is no setting in settings?
Open IE... press the three dots on the right to the adressfield and choose "settings". At the bottom of the settingspage you have the ability to change searchengine from Bing to Google

I believe that is only on WP8 devices.
No it´s not... I´m having it on my Lumia 800 7.8 as we speak. No mods, no extra cabs... just updated via Zune

My Telus [Canada] 800 is 7.8 updated via Zune and it does not have this option. It may be because you are in Sweden... The E version of Windows 7 was required by the EU to give you the choice of web browser and this may be a similar situation.
I have the HTC Titan and live in netherlands....I dont have this option either. So frankly I think that it has to do with the phone.

disable screen rotation?

Hey guys,
I'm Jeroenvk94, in the Galaxy S Advance Forum I'm known for some of my themes and a ROM I've made for the phone.
Today I got the Lumia 920 with my new contract, and I got to say,it really pleases me.
I'm new to WP, so I've got questions.if they're noobish please go easy on me.
I look forward to having a great time with this forum and this phone.
PS: is there any way to disable the screen rotation. It really annoys me...

you must get GDR3 preview for developers update to have screen rotation settings... if you dont have developer account and dont want pay developer annual subscription to Microsoft, use this instructions for free solution:
1. Register for the Windows Phone App Studio. The Windows Phone App Studio is a free tool for developing Windows Phone Apps, it doesn’t have as many features as the full software development kit, but it’s simple and easy to use and most importantly it includes the ability to developer unlock one Windows Phone so that you can install your own apps to it for testing. You’ll want to register using the same Microsoft ID that you use with your Windows Phone.
2. You must install the security certificate that is emailed to you after you sign up for the Windows Phone App Studio program above. Find the email on your phone, download the attached security certificate and tap the install button when prompted.
3. Install the Preview for Developers App on your Windows Phone. After the install completes, launch the apps, and follow the instructions to enable your phone for the preview program.
4. Go to Settings > Phone Update and check for updates. After a while of “checking for updates”, your phone should find the GDR3 install files and from there you’ll be able to download and install them. The phone will reboot, show some gears animations for a while, then reboot again and perform a data migration step. After that you should be running the latest built of Windows Phone 8.0 GDR3!

I remember from Android that an update indeed only replaces your system files, and therefore doesn't wipe user data.
